poor cant get through to repair centre

Three weeks trying to get hold of dyson. Also left details on website two weeks ago still waiting for them to contact me. I have two dysons but will never buy another one as their after sales service is appauling.

Fallen out of love...

I have been using Dyson vacs for years, and frankly when I got my first one nearly twenty years ago I was so impressed by the machine and even more so with the excellent after sales service that I would have willingly advertised it for free, it cleaned my four floor house (a bed and breakfast) beautifully, and the few times it went wrong I could simply phone the helpful care line, got through quickly, and problem solved.
What on earth has happened? - I got a compact recently, and although it cleans well it is fiddly to sort yourself and when I couldn't solve the problem I spent days trying to get through to them. They have not answered my e-mail of more than a week ago.
Through sheer frustration (and slightly arthritic hands), one of my many attempts to fix it myself resulted in me dropping it on the kitchen floor and I have knocked a bit of plastic off where the brush is attached to the main body, so probably invalidated my guarantee. Over the years I have bought 5 Dysons, NEVER AGAIN!!!! My love affair with Dyson has ended in disillusionment - time to find a replacement.!

Worst ever customer service

I have tried contacting Dyson to have my vacuum cleaner repaired. They never answer their telephones and I abandon the calls after 30 minutes. I have also emailed and again no reply. This company used to be the Rolls Royce of vacuum cleaners. They have gone down hill and that is sad. I think I might buy another cleaner where I can get reliable service, Their management must now be so bad. If you need to contact them for the warranty good luck as you might need to take a week off work.

worst customer service - a Dyson can not be repaired abroad!

I am shocked and appalled how little Dyson cares about its customers once they have brought a product. Calls and letters remain un-answered and it is virtually impossible to get to speak to someone competent, constantly receiving contradicting information.

I bought a Dyson in the UK a few years ago and when I moved to France I took it with me. It has now broken down and I wanted to have it repaired. I understand that the guarantee might be not valid in France (which is strange given that it is a EU country), but what infuriates me is that a UK product can not be repaired in France - or, it seems, in any other country, even at my expense. They claim that hoovers are slightly differently build in France (one person tried to convince me that the current was different!?). I never realised that a Dyson hoover was such a technologically advanced piece of equipment that only highly qualified British technicians could repair it. Disgraceful - do not buy Dyson!

THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!

All I wanted was an invoice. After 40 Minutes in a queue I got told someone would email one over to me within an hour. Six hours later I called back, after another 30 Minutes in the queue, I got told by a very unsympathetic agent called Rachel that they don't email invoices. She said "the best we can do" is post one out which I won't receive for at least 28 days 'because of the 'Royal Mail' . When I told her how unsatisfied I was with the customer service she seemed totally uninterested and her reply was " is there anything else I can help you with" Absolutely disgraceful! I have obviously shortened the conversation but it was dreadful I could almost hear her yawning when I was trying to explain how I felt. However they can only treat us like this if we allow them to, and I swear I will never buy a DYSON again.

Uncontactable Customer Service

I have been trying to contact customer service with no avail for the last week via phone and email. You listen to a recording for over half an hour saying "they are experiencing high call volumes and that a new computer has been installed - well this was over 2 weeks ago. I have a Dyson DC25 all floors and my hose has split so therefore cannot use it on the stairs. My machine is covered by the extended 5 year policy for all parts and labour so therefore my hose should be replaced. After speaking with the switchboard girl at their head office and requesting to speak with someone to complain I was automatically put through to the same customer service no that does not answer. When I call through to head office again, the girl would not put me through to anybody and stated the company worked on a no name policy when I requested to speak with either the MD or any Director in the company including their secretaries. She also stated that the waiting time for customer services is 30-40 minutes. I find this totally unacceptable - who has time to sit with their ear to a phone for that amount of time when we are all working. Therefore I am now going to purchase the hose online and then send them receipt with a letter requesting a refund. So beware customers if you are trying to contact customer services - there is no Customer Service.

Terrible customer service

Like other recent reviewers I have been hugely disappointed by my recent experiences of dealing with Dyson's customer service capacity. I had rescheduled an engineers visit, stayed at home, no one turned up. I tried to call, on hold endlessly, then emailed, no reply. I finally got through today. It turns out the appointment had not be passed through to the engineering team, they have apparently introduced a new system which is causing problems. Someone hasn't planned it very well.I was already disappointed with the overall performance of my vacuum cleaner, which is less than 2 years old!

DC 19 maybe best vac I ever owned... by far

Okay there are a few improvements which could be made to my vacuum cleaner but I went through 4 or 5 others just before Dyson, and they don't even get close to this. BEFORE I was always bashing the filters covered by clouds of dust NOW I empty the vac with one hand.
The head is not great hence 4 stars and purely for this reason.

Before Dyson I went through the following in 3 years:
- Roomba (good but battery dies after 10 months)
- Bosch (a particularly tragic mistake)
- Bagless Panasonic
- Bag vacuum cleaner without the name

NO GOOD!!!!!! RUBBISH!!!!!

I will never buy another product from this company again. I bought a Dyson vacuum cleaner about 2 years ago, it lasted less than 2 years, and I had to get another one. I gave the product the benefit of the doubt, thinking, maybe it was just a dud, and bought the latest model. After 3 months it doesn't suck (so much for the TV Ad "never loses suction"!!!). My husband contacted them and (after 1/2 an hour of holding) was told that they'll send a part out to him. 3 calls later (1/2 an hour of holding for each call)and over a month later, I am now waiting for a call back that they promise will happen today (I'm not holding my breath). If anyone out there is deciding on whether to buy a Dyson or not, DON'T DO IT!!!

Hopeless customer service

We bought a Dyson about a year back - and while the product has been good till date, unfortunately the motor died about a week back.. We have been trying to get in touch with them for the past 1 week - but to no avail.. We always - always - always - get the standard message 'We are experiencing high call volumes because of a new computer support system'!!!! We have sent 2-3 mails requesting a call back - still, nothing - NOT EVEN AN ACKNOWLEDGEMENT of the mail! And they call this 'AWARD-WINNING customer service' - I seriously would like to know which award, and how?

If you are prepared to throw away the model if something stops working and buy another one, then probably this will work, otherwise do yourself a favour and just find something else.

DC26 is brilliant and when there is a problem??........it's sorted in an exemplary manner

I have a four year old DC26. Now when I say four year old, my wife is OCD with cleaning....the Dyson is used several times a day and it probably got 10 years of normal use behind it! The lug for attaching the wand recently broke so I rang customer services on their FREEFONE number. Customer services were very polite and the replacement arrived in a couple of days. We passed our first Dyson onto our daughter and it still works well. If our idle son ever leaves home we will pass on the second one. When it comes to the replacement, it will definitely be another Dyson

Better at advertising than producing the goods

Im still kicking myself after buying my first dyson i bought the animal after hating my first one .Both are useless in so many ways.Suction discribed as cyclone joke,user friendly useless the animal detachment for hand control wont work jams when you try to pull extension handle out have to dismantle,suction average at best.They fool us with their wild ads telling us how good it is with all its science and development but its all flash with no dash,Dont ever buy a dyson you will regret it

Dyson DC50 - really not very good at all

Bought this to replace my old Dyson Animal. This new one is so bad that I have kept the old one too! it constantly needs emptying as the cylinder is so small. I am told this is to make the suction better. It is no better suction than the old one. Contrary to the TV advert it will not reah all the way up the stairs. Reaches about 4 steps meaning that you have to vacuum whilst holding it in your other hand. Very disappointing product

Impeccable service

My old Dyson hadn't been serviced for quite some time and was only operating with about 30% efficiency. A telephone call to the Company soon produced a competent Service Engineer, who turned up when arranged, and who transformed my machine into "a new" one. It required a couple of large items which were sent by post. They were the easiest thing on earth to fit (you can't fit a part wrongly even if you are a geek) and bingo - my new machine. Well done Dyson. I wouldn't have another make.

Dyson DC41 Excellent for homes with animals

After using 2 DC1machines since the 90s one of them started blowing, so I thought it was time to replace one machine. I did some research online and decided on the DC41 to cope with all the cat and dog hairs.

The Dyson website is easy to use and the compare function gives you an easy way to look at the different specifications. I was originally thinking of getting one of the smaller models, but on balance to cope with the animal hairs I decided on the DC41. Check for any specials on the website, I got a special edition for £100 less, it is just the colour which is different.

From the online reviews I was slightly put off by the 'takes ages to assemble' comment. I timed how long it took me, 15 minutes, most of that time was getting the pieces out of the box. I must admit I do have one tool which I can not work out how it attaches. That is no problem to me as I'm sure I'll work it out soon. I have only done a quick test run so far of 2 rooms. It is working well. My special favourite is the turbo head which really lifted the dried milk which had been spilt on the carpet.

I read one review which said the plastic used feels cheaper than that used in previous models. It does feel different. Dyson have said they have used a lighter plastic to reduce weight. The weight of the new machine is about the same as the DC1, hence my use of 2 machines. One located downstairs and one upstairs means I do not have to carry them up and down the stairs.

The delivery was within the 3-5 days stated. BUT they use a courier which gives you no notice of the time of delivery and there is no arrangement for a second delivery. I love the suppliers and couriers (5 stars to Amazon) who give you a day for the delivery and then the van driver phones you and tells you something like 'I'll be there in an hour'. I drove to the courier to collect the parcel, not something I like to do. So for delivery 1 star to Dyson.

The machine itself is slightly smaller than the DC1, the head is wider. This was of concern to me for getting into those little nooks. I now have no concern as the turbo head will fit there.

There is one thing you have to remember when parking the machine, you must firmly push the handle forward. If you don't it does fall back.

My rating would have been 5 stars, they lost one for the courier arrangements.

Gets clogged, all the time

As title suggests, not particularly impressed. Not for the price anyway
Could do with them making it easier to put in the cupboard too

Airblade hand dryer -
Got 2 in work. If you stand next to someone using one, all the water off their hands, flies in your face. There is also a load of cack that collects on the bottom of the inner 'blade'

Great value for money and easy to arrange too!

After 12 years of reliable service, the motor on my Dyson DCO7 finally died on me. I looked into buying a new motor and fitting it myself but soon discovered Dyson would come out to my home and carry out a complete service of my vacuum cleaner. The service included replacing all necessary spare parts, apart from filters, in the price. As the machine had never been serviced before I knew it might need a few other spare parts, so this seemed like better value than replacing the motor myself. Booking the visit over the phone was very straightforward, with a clear explanation of what was included in the service price being given. The service engineer was able to come the next day, arriving in the alloted time slot. He did a very methodical job of testing the machine and identfying all the required new parts, ordering the ones he didn't carry with him. My Dyson now works as well as it did when I first got it 12 years ago and I am extremely pleased with the service I have received.

Fantastic experience!

Just received my new DC24 Multi Floor - a great little vacuum that's small enough to fit in my utility cupboard. Filled the bin twice already.

The only thing I have struggled with is how to attach the brush tool so I can reach some cobwebs.

Ordered several times and still same good service

I have been a regular customer of Dyson and I have purchased products like DC-35 Animal, DC-39 & Air multiplier from their website. They do amazing service in terms of packaging and fast delivery using 48 hours delivery system. Staff at customer service replies to the email or calls in friendly manner and they sort out things asap. Overall I am satisfied with the company, its products and services. Only thing which I find hard to believe is their prices, but once you pay, its just like investment for long term as their products rarely get damaged or stop working.
