Dr James Woo is the worst
Dr James Woo was rude, cut me off and raised his voice when I explained the rules about repeats not being available even if they show on the system. His camera was off and didn't listen when I explained details of my 5 surgeries and chronic pain. Don't waste your time these Bettr doctors are just making money.
Best online Dr service available.
My family and I have been using Bettr Doctors for almost three years, and the service has been exceptional. The number of doctors available and the ability to secure an appointment within a short period of time is amazing. My regular GP appointments are often unavailable for one to two weeks, which can be impractical when you’re unwell.
Recently, Bettr Doctors have extended their hours of operation and welcomed new doctors to the team, which has made the service even better. All the best, and keep up the great work.

Found another phone number for Tamaki health and they sorted it out. Some problem with their system? I received the phone consultation later.
Conclusion: the service is not robust:

The first impression is their entire system online is extremely sub par and broken which does not instill any confidence that the medical services promised will be any better. I think the idea is a good one but please contact me to create a competitor service that I'm sure my teenagers could make work better online.

Very disappointed
We had an appointment for 6.40am. I explained on the information form what we needed and why it was time sensitive. I was sent a reminder of the meeting around 6.030am. I was sent a link and connected to it and waited. 6.40 nobody came on. 6.45 a notice that the medical professional would be there shortly, 6.50 if she didn't connect to us in 5 minutes call this number. She didn't, we called. 'Sorry, I don't find an appointment for you'. I gave the professional's name, waited, then I was told, 'Oh, she called in sick'. No offer of help. Basically, nothing. I insited that we had an appointment and they needed to help us. I was put on hold and then told there was nothing they could do. Unbelievable and so unprofessional!! I finally gave up and tried to find another way to get help.
Around 2 hours later I get a call from them saying they want to reschedule our appointment. I said no and to please refund our money. She assured me that they would.

Absolutely useless. Doctor couldnt work the computer. Did not look at the pictures of my condition and then told me to go see a GP and i would not get a refund. Just go see a GP...

The dr was really professional and easygoing to communicate with. Sent script to my local chemist very quickly.

Unprofessional and insulting. Do not contact these people. They are amateurs at best and probably using chatgpt to do their job. Not even sure if this is run in NZ since it wasn't a clear phone line that kept breaking up. Worse experience ever and paid $89 for the privilege.

Definitely useless. The process consultation was okay-ish, but they didn't offer a diagnosis if you don't ask, isn't that wired?They only give you prescriptions. It's like they are an index of symptoms and medicines, which can be replaced by AI easily. And in the medical certificate, no professional opinions involved at all. There format "This is to inform that (Your name) had virtual consultation with me today。He/She reports to be unwell and is unable to work for N days from today due to illness." They don't even mention about the doctor's opinion, makes your illness sounds like your own saying. When you call after you made your payment, their attitude changing like having another face! I ask them why there is this careless consultation, and this useless medical certificate, they say of course because I haven't met you. So it's my fault to trust you and what you brag on your website? You say you would provide the same service as I meet a real doctor! No, when you meet our doctor, we would test your blood pressure and etc.
You just see who is lying and bragging on their website and providing the worst ever experience online or face-to-face consultation experience, and when you complain, they blame everything on you because you idiot chose to trust a not-trust-worthy!
If you ever want an sucking experience like this, especially when you are vanerable and needing help as you are feeling unwell, go ahead, bettr will stab you right at your back!

I am the sceptical of all. So it took alot of putting my credit card details in. However. I am a local from NZ, and I wasn't feeling comfortable with my current new doctor. So I migrated to online. I had an appt within 2 weeks. Kala female doctor met me on-time. She is not English. So be assertive with your needs when meeting. She prescribed me all meds required to my symptoms. Within one hour my prescription was sent to my local pharmacy to collect. The prescription medication costs were included in my $75. Thank you.

So it takes me two weeks to get an appointment with my GP, its costs me $150 to take three hours off work and drive there. For $75 I can book a consultation online, get a script with two repeats, and it took 3 minutes. Um hello? The GP I have been seeing for 15 years has no time and cant do this? Yeah I work too. So go off because Im doing this now. And forever.

The reception staff are just as bad. Tried to make a formal complaint and I was told to never book at Bettr again?
Dr Reshma screamed at me down the phone never once allowing me to speak and I am still waiting on my refund from these clowns.

I had 12:15 appt with Dr Michael Smith, after 35 mins waiting & numerous calls to the call centre No, half of which they hung up on, I received a message saying that I was more than 15 mins late and my appt was cancelled
Poor value, not recommended.
They recently increased their fee from $20 to $45 for an online consultation. This is exorbitant if you just need to get a prescription refill. Not worth the money, considering I've had about 5 such online consultations and they have never lasted more than 3-4 minutes each. They should have a much cheaper express service for people who need only a prescription refill.

Please do not sign up. You are well and truly bettr off signing up to another doctor. My situation is too complicated to explain on here but I am still waiting for a refund from these clowns as I was charged $59 as enrolled patient as opposed to the $19 consultation when I enrolled.
