I rang in sheer panic, unable to close or lock my bathroom window. At 4.30pm on a Saturday afternoon, no one else was even answering.
But Upglaze did, gave a reasonable cost and immediate home visit.
I was met by an absolute gentleman; it can be tricky allowing tradesmen into the home as a woman on my own. I found him to be professional, reassuring and efficient. Done and dusted in a super quick timely manner. Such a relief and wonderful to know there are still trustworthy people to call on. I can highly rate Upglaze and would not hesitate to contact them in the future. Very grateful.

Nic came and repaired a locking mechanism and also 3 windows that had misted. Done in a very short timescale as we were selling the house. Thoroughly recommend .

Called Upglaze in again to advise post complete refurbishment change of room use (utility to utility/ bathroom). Nic suggested sensible, budget friendly options. Replaced exterior plain glass door/side panels with opaque, insulated double glazing and finish-trimmed to fit in with new plaster surroundings. Also reglazed/beaded connecting door to match. 4 Months on, external door looks contemporary, not an old one made over. Very happy with result.
Nic also fitted insulation panels to another rooms' add-on bay window inside and out, as previously done in kitchen to good effect.

To comply with regulations relating to a new boiler installation, I needed to replace an existing kitchen window. We had a dropped window and porch door. The porch door restrictor had also broken in some bad weather. Nic did an excellent job fixing both, even though the original window fitters had put the wrong size sash on the window.

I had several ancient casement windows which were falling apart and unable to open and/or to keep open, and multiple issues with the guttering.

Nic perfectly refitted the guttering, and stripped and rebuilt the casement windows, leaving them as new.
