I haven't received my royalties in about 3 months and i haven't recieved my publishing payout in about 6....So i removed my music from there platform........Come to find out they aren't reporting all of my daily analyics and have been paying me incorrectly I'm gonna take it to the chin because based off what i see in these comments I'm not the only one and it doesn't appear anyone else has gotten there money so i won't worry about it but for people thinking about signing up don't bother
No royalties this month
No royalties this month, no reply to mails
My account is not flagged or anything, its just how they treat their clients.
Stay away from these evil people
I am a returning artist who previously…Extreme unprofessionalism: Access to royalties and historical data revoked without notice.
Following my decision to close my account due to unresolved technical issues, Horus Music has formally refused to process a manual payout of my remaining balance (£6.39), citing their standard minimum payout threshold.
For the awareness of other independent artists:
Subscription Cancellation: If you decide to move your release to another distributor, your remaining prepaid subscription time with Horus Music is immediately terminated. Should you choose to return to their service later, you are required to pay the full annual fee again.
Balance Withholding: Upon permanent account closure, any remaining royalties that do not meet the minimum threshold will not be released.
///
I am a returning artist who previously had a prepaid annual subscription with Horus Music. Although I moved some releases in 2024, I was explicitly assured that I would retain access to my account to monitor my historical data and remaining royalty balance.
The experience has been a nightmare:
Unauthorised Account Deletion: Until 5 days ago, I could still log in. However, immediately after I contacted their support expressing my intent to resume my subscription, my account was completely wiped. I now receive an error: "The account you are trying to access does not exist."
Denial of Financial Transparency: I am now unable to view or claim my remaining royalties.
Dismissive Support: When I reached out to Alara Chaudhery (Support), I received a robotic and unhelpful response essentially saying "your account was closed," completely ignoring my prepaid rights and the missing balance.
It is unacceptable for a music distributor to block an artist's access to their own financial records and data. I strongly advise other artists to be cautious—your data and money might disappear the moment you stop an active subscription, even if you paid for the full year.

They linked my album to the wrong artist on the major platforms with my first release. Now with my 3rd release of 2 weeks ago, they created a new profile on Apple music, instead of putting it on my existing one with my previous releases meaning that people finding my music on Apple Music won't know about my previous releases. This has all stopped me from promoting my new release on Musixmatch as it's asking me to 'verify artist'. Also, I asked them why my music I released 8 years ago is still not on Deezer and got no reply. I got no apology when I pointed out that they had not done these things. I'm going to change distribution companies.
Bethany Queen!
I've been working directly with Bethany from Horus and she is the best account manager I've had up to date. Responsive, caring, hard-working and professional. In a world flooded with companies that prioritise profit over actual art, this is a nice change of scenery for me.

I like the Pay-Per-Release Model in Distribution Service. I just request to add the same in Publishing Services as well.
Thanks.
Worst company ever.
Worst company ever.
Do not go near this company at all.
Don't be fooled by the cheap subscription, they charge $100 to delete your music.
The royalty is 1/10th of what it is.
7 months of my hard work with 12 tracks was wasted😑
Serious Royalty Accounting Discrepancy – Verified Underpayment
I am currently in a formal dispute with Horus Music regarding a massive shortfall in royalties. For 80,000 Spotify streams, Horus paid me £100 (an effective rate of £0.00125 per stream).
I have verified this against another distributor where 99,000 streams generated $341.42 (approx. £218 for 80k streams). Despite providing this proof, Horus support (Robert) has refused to provide original remittance advice from Spotify or explain why their payout is 60% lower than the industry standard.
I have formally invoked the UK Transparency Code and am moving toward a Small Claims Court (MCOL) filing. Artists should be aware that '100% royalties' may not mean market-rate collection here.
Payouts also doesn't get made unless you manually contact their customer support, and the payments are delayed besides that
I Would 100% Recommend Horus Music
I have been releasing music with Horus for around 2.5 years. I started off on their pay per release plan but was later moved to their artist & label services after they were able to secure me Apple Editorial playlist success & success on VEVO's LGBTQIA+ Women in Music editorial playlist. Before working with Horus I never once had an editorial placement... since working with them on their Artist & Label Services I have secured Apple, VEVO, TIDAL, Amazon & FLO Editorial placements... this was at no cost to myself. The customer service is second to none, they have a phone number you can call do help with the upload service. I see some other reviews complained about songs being un-submitted but this is very much normally a user issue for example entering in some incorrect information... this is one of the best things about Horus, an actual human goes through every submission to make sure their are no mistakes. They now have a helpful guide and since having that guide I have had no problems with my submissions, anything I don't understand I just call them up and they walk me through. All of the team at Horus are a delight to work with especially Bethany who is my point of contact with the A&L services, I wouldn't have been able to do what I do without her. She pitches all of my music to editorial and is always at the end of an email to help with advice and guidance... nothing is ever too much even asking advice on track name ideas, release strategy, genre etc... you are never alone at Horus. They also got me National Radio play and interviews on several BBC stations, Indigo Radio in India, Rollingstone India, RTÉ Irish national radio the list goes on. Before Horus I had been releasing music for 10 years and never managed to achieve any of what I have here. I would highly recommend them they have made my life so much easier and made releasing music enjoyable once again x
Highly recommend Horus Music – a fantastic partner for independent labels!
I’ve been working with Horus Music for over a year now through their Label Services account, and the experience has been consistently excellent. Every release we’ve put out (singles, EPs, and full albums) has gone smoothly from ingestion to distribution across all major platforms. The team clearly knows the ins and outs of the digital landscape, and their guidance has saved us from several potential headaches.
What really stands out is their responsiveness. Any time we’ve hit a small issue—metadata questions, artwork specs, takedown requests, or playlist pitching follow-ups—someone knowledgeable gets back to us quickly (often same day) and actually solves the problem instead of just passing it along.
In an industry where distributors can sometimes feel impersonal, Horus has been supportive, transparent, and genuinely helpful. If you’re an independent label or artist looking for reliable distribution with real human support behind it, these guys are a cut above. Happy to keep sending our catalogue their way!
I've been working with Horus...
I've been working with Horus for the last few years, and to say that the experience has been excellent would be an understatement. Huge thank you to Matt and Bethany for all the dedication to working with the TGS team.

Hey folks :) I have a direct distribution deal with Horus Music and, any time I've had problems, they've always been on-hand to help get things sorted ASAP for my releases. A great champion of independent music and very easy to work with. Thanks folks
Very Low Royalty Payments
I had previously written a glowing review for Horus in June 2025, which I later downgraded in Sept 2025 due to concerns of low royalty payments. I used another distributor for my last release and I can now personally confirm that Horus' royalty payments are significantly lower than other distributors.
For comparison, my release with Horus that currently has over 200k streams on Spotify has only earned me £61.88 after over a year and a half with Horus. Since switching to a different distributor for my last release in August (less than 3 months ago), I have already earned £68.78 for around 38k streams.
The positives of Horus that I outlined in my previous review still hold true, but I think people need to be aware of these royalty issues, which many others have also expressed in prior reviews. If you only care about efficiently getting your music onto the DSPs, Horus is still a great choice. However, if you do care about royalty payments, consider other options.
Great DSP service
Released one album with Horus Music and had no issues whatsoever. I have now transferred a previous album and single from a US-based DSP due to the excessive tax forms I'm required to complete every two years and the high fees. Horus Music were super helpful and efficient, and made the process relatively simple. You deal with real people who are professional and polite. Great service!

Respuesta de Horus Music
Avoid Horus Music at all costs.
After months of chasing missing royalties, I finally had a meeting where a Horus representative admitted fault in their calculations and promised to fix it. 2 Weeks later, I followed up only to be told he “no longer works here” and that everything is now “correct.” Their own raw Spotify data shows I’ve earned far more than they’ve paid ~$4000 in royalties ~$300 in royalties paid, yet they refuse to explain the discrepancy. In my view, this is deeply unprofessional and suspicious. I've moved all my music elsewhere and I am pursuing legal action.
Best Distro in the UK
I'm an music artist by the name of Poshbwoy and this is my Second year working with Horus Music, the team are amazing to work with especially Bethany my account manager who always over delivers on every release. The pitching team has manage to get me on some of the biggest Editorial playlists in the world, such as - New music Friday India on Spotify & Amazon music +44 playlist. & I have had a music video on Vevo official UK rap playlist on YouTube for a year now which is amazing as I'm not signed to a major or have a huge backing, Horus is for the independent artist and I'm always recommending to every artist I speak too as I've used a lot of distros and never had this much support. The only thing I would say is that the platform itself and analytics reporting tool is slightly clunky but I'm sure Horus will improve that overtime and not such an issue as they exceed in everything else.

"Horus Music Delivers Excellence Every Time"
Hey, my name is Gaurav Pandey, and I go by the artist name DEVIL AARYA across all major streaming and social platforms.
I’ve been using Horus Music’s Catalogue Plus model for my independent record label, and we distribute 15+ songs every month through their platform. From my experience, Horus Music is not just another aggregator – their support system is outstanding. Anytime I’ve faced an issue or needed assistance, their team has responded and resolved it very quickly and professionally. It’s clear they genuinely care about their clients and their success.
I’ve noticed some negative reviews from people who may not have followed the correct processes or were involved in violations – but as someone working consistently and transparently with Horus, I can confidently say their service is reliable, fast, and artist-friendly. In fact, they’ve helped me grow my label operations more efficiently than other distributors I’ve tried in the past.
If you’re an independent artist or label looking for a trustworthy distribution partner with real human support and transparency, Horus Music is an excellent choice.
Thank you to the Horus team – keep up the great work!
