Emailed at 9:10am and got a phone call from Jason before 10am and issue/query resolved by 10:15am. Immaculate customer service, couldn’t recommend more and will continue being a customer for the foreseeable! Thank you 🥰

I’ve applied for three different roles at The Vegan Society over the past year, and to be honest, I’m incredibly frustrated by the lack of communication. Not once did I hear back about whether my application was successful, even shortlisted, or if it had been received at all. The job specs clearly advise applicants to email jobs@vegansociety(.)com with any questions, which I did on two separate occasions. But once again, I received absolutely no response.

I’m genuinely confused as to whether anyone even works there, or if they do, they either need more staff or basic training on how to send a simple “unsuccessful” email. It almost feels like these jobs are advertised just for show, as if they've already decided who they’re hiring internally before the ad even goes out.

I can’t help but wonder what the point is of applying if there’s no communication or follow-through. It’s very disappointing, especially for an organisation that claims to promote openness and inclusivity.

J'ai commandé des vitamines B12 en décembre 2022 vers mais les vitamines ne sont jamais arrivées....J'ai donc pu bénéficier d'un autre envoi à leur frais et je peux voir que les vitamines sont bien arrivées dans le pays où je vis mais elles sont bloquées au lieu de transit depuis un mois....J'ai contacté THE VEGAN SOCIETY et on m'a simplement expliqué qu'ils ne pouvaient rien faire car ils ne savaient pas qui était le sous-traitant dans le pays où je vis....
Service après-vente médiocre.

Kudos to the Vegan Society for offering an affordable vegan supplement that actually ticks most of the boxes. I'm not wild about the flavouring, bulking agents etc etc but it really is priced far below what you find elsewhere, making veganism more accessible. The packaging also compares well, being aluminum and so easily recyclable (it does come wrapped in plastic - perhaps something to work on in the future?).

I've been a member since going vegan about 6 years ago. I have zero complaints. I enjoy reading the vegan magazine when it comes out and have enjoyed some fantastic discounts from vegan brands thanks to my vegan society membership. Happy to support them and their important work for the animals and planet.

I created my account in 2016 - the same year that I became vegan. Their VEG1 is my go-to vegan multi-supplement. I've also bought other items over the years like bags, mugs, etc. - as well as donated a few times.

How is food now racist or cultural misappropriation?

The Vegan Society offer a vegan multivitamin called VEG 1 that is sooo affordable and contains all the nutrients I am looking for as a vegan! I love that the vitamin is chewable - so much easier to take than swallowing. My order also arrived quickly and as expected.

I finally received a reply to my original email, from the Director of Communications on behalf of the Vegan Soiciety (2 months later). The Vegan Society have now reponded to my comments on Trustpilot.
Amongst other comments was this one: "Mr Cook is entitled to hold the views that he does and to promote them to others as he sees fit".

I wrote back to him and this is what I said:

Many thanks for responding to my email on behalf of your Society. I am not anti-vegan and in fact quite enjoy vegetarian meals especially genuine South Indian curries. I had a neighbour in Windsor who was from Bombay and he introduced me to genuine vegetarian curries in the numerous vegetarian restaurants in Southall.

I presumed incorrectly that Mr Cook was associated with your Society and I apologise for that. However, what you are not aware of is the impact this ‘demonstration’ had on the children at the school. Seeing the demonstrators, some of whom were voicing their opinions had the effect of frightening the children and intimidating many of the staff.

Mr Vincent’s claim that members of the school were not intimidated in no way reflects the reality. What is more, having organised the ‘demo’ he never thought about the impact it would have on his two children at the school. I can leave that to your own imagination.

Your comment that Mr Cook is entitled to “hold the views that he does and to promote them as he sees fit”, reveals the real agenda of the Vegan Society (the operative words being 'as he sees fit'). In a democratic society everyone is free to have their own views, but intimidating young children and school staff by taking the action he did is reprehensible. I suggest you spend more time on lobbying for schools to include animal welfare in their curriculum rather than defending the indefensible. You have enough extremists in your movement, some of whom have ended up in prison and have done more damage to the animals they were supposed to be protecting in the first place. This has resulted in a very negative view of Veganism amongst a significant proportion of the general public.

As for the growth in Veganism, this has undoubtedly become more popular but still amounts to a tiny proportion of the overall population. However, it would be even more popular if people like yourself were not prepared to defend the actions of the more extremist followers of Veganism. I must conclude my saying I am very disappointed by the fact that the Vegan Society holds your views.

I am a member of the vegan society and i am really happy with them an i like all the work they do. I feel amazing and so much better since being vegan and grateful for their help.
