This App is change completely i answer to a terrorist supporter they too off my comment and left his comment also they used to pay for watching ad which the money i used to get and give it a way to some homeless that i used to see in the streets but now the ignor me and it look like they don’t want to pay it’s pandering since 01/06/25 I am not worry about this money but they way they started behaving is disgraceful they’re some very nice members on this AAp but those that running this company can not be trusted i know they are much better AAP around so if you think to get extra money then forget this AAP

Contempt For Members

Do not respond to messages posted on their site absolutely no regard for its members I wonder if Rio Ferdinand who endorsed this company know how bad they really are!

What is this

I am an EE customer. I have never used these weare8 people, they were, up until last year connected to EE for no reason I know. Currently, my service provider page on my phone lists my provider EE and an undeleteable link (as a recommendation) for this Weare8 American social media site! As advised I have never, nor do I intend to use it. I want this download link directly imprinted on my phone, my property, removed. It should not be there!

Thanks so much for reaching out and sharing this. On some EE and BT devices, the WeAre8 app was preinstalled as part of a past partnership to make it easier for people to discover the platform — but no account would have been created unless someone chose to sign up.

We totally understand how frustrating it must feel to have an app appear on your device without your request. While we don’t have control over how apps are preloaded on phones, your network provider should be able to guide you on how to remove or hide the app if you prefer not to use it.

Stared off good think when they lost contract with EE it started to go down hill I'm still waiting for a minimum payment of about 4 pounds been well over a month now and still not in my PayPal

Don't bother

No rewards anymore and having had to change my details as a victim of fraud, they are refusing to update my phone number and allow me to cash out. No more should have read the reviews first on here!

Im sorry but this app was absolutely…

Im sorry but this app was absolutely fine for a while (i earned about £5 in the first couple of months just fine. that is until they removed the option to use earned money for bills and reduced the ads severely!! Now that is gone but on top of it the ads part does not work (as of june 2025 they did something as ads will not reward you a penny! I tried to report the issue to no avail support is very lacking on this site!

plus a complete desertification of the number of ads means i was getting 15 a day or more back then recently its been 4 a month if your lucky!

Furthermore i had a schedule check weare8 at 12:30 day reset, 7am, 12am, 3,8 and again at 12:30. I mean P.E.R.I.O.D.I.C.A.L.L.Y all ive earned since being on this platform is a ~Measly £23! And that is over the course of nearly 2 years! So be warned!

This will only make you peanuts! If your unlucky like alot of folk on here then avoid the app! It has genuinely become a joke and take it from someone who has been with them for a decent chunk!

I cashed out My £23 that's if it even gets paid out! (I heard many stories of money not being paid or delayed)

Deleted app never using it plus please do not force the social media side of it on us it gets very annoying! No way to opt out! Some of us aren't sheep and will not tolerate it sometimes it is that loud it makes you jump out of your skin!

(Im only rating it 2 stars as it actually has earned me money but only a PITTANCE)

We completely understand your frustration around recent delays to payouts. We know it’s not what you expected, and it’s not the experience we want for any of our Citizens. The delay in payments has been due to a significant internal backlog, and while we’re now actively catching up (with payments up to 18th May processed), we appreciate that the wait has been far too long for many.

As for the ads you’ve seen recently that haven’t added to your balance — these are part of our new charity ads feature. They don’t affect your wallet, but instead send most of the brand’s payment directly to important causes. These ads are completely optional, and when paid brand ads are available, they will always be shown first in your feed with clear labelling and a payment confirmation at the end.

We’re also continuing to build out the platform, including the social side, but we hear your feedback loud and clear — and we’ll pass it on to the team. We never want anyone to feel forced into an experience they don’t enjoy.

We're truly grateful for the time you've spent with us and for your honest feedback. It helps us grow, improve, and be more transparent with the community we care deeply about. 💛

Used to be good

Used to be good. I earned quite a bit on this £120 ish but the last 6 months or more it's been dire! Very little opportunity to earn! Payments not being made! I've been waiting over 2 weeks now for a payment that should have taken 5 days! Seems like they don't have funds, they clearly aren't getting the customers to provide adverts so there's no money to give to the likes of us! Once my payment finally arrives I'm closing my account.

Not Paying Out

The idea for this is great, but payments are not being made, so it’s pointless watching the ads (although I presume they are still being paid when I do watch). When you attempt to make a payment out it states “Funds will be available in your PayPal Account in 3-5 business days”, but I have outstanding payments beyond this and have now received this by email:

“Hi there,

Thank you so much for your patience.

As of today, all payments requested from 4th May onwards are still delayed. At the moment, we don't have a confirmed date as to when payments will be completed, however, please rest assured that you will get your payment, and as soon as we have some movement we will update you immediately.”

The App is still showing 3-5 days, but that hasn’t been the case for several months now. Shame

Just to clarify around the new ad format: the charity ads are an optional new feature. When you watch them, the majority of the money from the brand goes directly to charity — helping support incredible causes around the world. You’ll always be able to tell them apart, as they don’t include a payment or questions at the end.

Amazing Concept & Community

Love the concept and community on this app. Whilst there are a few glitches, it's minor and I'd rather support a growing ethical social platform than the current big names. The content is far more interesting and engaging. Money via the adverts is small but it soon adds up but to be fair it's not the main reason to use the app. The main reasons are having a social app that's effectively three in one, that doesn't have a pushy algorithm and is striving for positive social change, thats worth joining for alone.

WeAre8 – A Unique and Trustworthy Platform!

I am truly impressed with WeAre8 and the innovative way it operates. Over the past two years, I have successfully withdrawn over £230, while my wife has withdrawn £65. While these amounts may not be life-changing, they were incredibly useful when we withdrew them all at once.

One of the things I appreciate most about this platform is that it not only rewards its users but also supports charitable organizations. It’s refreshing to see an app that shares its revenue with both individuals and meaningful causes.

I’ve noticed that some users complain about not receiving enough ads, but it’s essential to understand how the system works. If brands launch advertising campaigns on WeAre8, users will receive more ads to watch. Banned For Calling Out Offensive Hand Gesture

Edited in order to update - following legal advice I should bring to your attention that I have not posted anything racist nor anything that can be construed as hate speech. I ask you kindly to amend your post and reinstate my account. At all time, I posted fact, absolutely no racism or hate speech. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Just been banned for questioning them for allowing the use of an offensive hand gesture in one of their ads. It is completely unacceptable to allow this gesture - it is the worst of its kind. Someone actually suggested it was the peace sign - no it is not - it is a highly offensive gesture which some sections of society are getting away with and are not being checked. I have been banned for having the temerity to exercise free speech which the Weare8 organisation clearly does not allow.

A bit disappointed with lack of afs

I like the app and was enjoying regular feeds which allowed me to earn a few pence each time and got a few little treats that way. Sadly in the last 6 weeks it’s been pretty much zero. Not sure if everyone has the same experience?

Great app which is doing something different

Great app which is doing something different and supporting charities and its users by giving out incentives for watching advertisements. I have seen people hating it because they not getting ads. If some company start ads campaign then you will get ads but for that you should support it. If people support this beautiful platform like they use instagram and other apps then you’ll probably get more ads then you can watch.

Used to be good, but…

Now rubbish. Used to get dozens of short adds to watch every week until the end of 2023. Earned me a nice little bit of pocket money. They must have drastically changed their algorithm since then as I’ve only had a total of 7 ads since, in over a year. It’s worthless now.

The reply below doesn’t address the fact this app is currently worthless. I could earn a few pounds per week on WeAre8 in 2023. In the whole of 2024 I got ads totalling less than 50p. Something has *definitely* changed on the app and it’s a change for the worse. As of now if I want some pocket money my time is better spent looking down the back of the sofa!

You'll see less ads at the minute but it's not due to an algorithm. Our sales team have wrapped up last years campaigns, and are working with brands to get new ads onboard for 2025. There have already been more ads added to the app in recent days, and there'll be even more coming soon!

Our founder, Zoe Kalar, is determined to flip the way advertising works which currently sees hundreds of billions of dollars going into the pocket of tech giants. Instead, she wants to redirect some of that money back to you, and people like you. Instead of just showing you ads without paying you like on other platforms, we're the first social media platform that pays you for watching ads.

We've already grown so much since we started but big change takes time, which is why we need your support. You matter! Every action you take on WeAre8 has an impact. The more people coming together on 8, the faster we'll be able to grow, and the quicker we'll get even more money in your pocket.

Never had issue I have earned around…

Never had issue… I have earned around £250 over 2 years.. only gripe is I wish you could pay your EE bill again with it but other than that it’s a smooth process

It says 8 ads per day. I've had about 2 dozen in the last 3 or 4 months. Terrible customer service. Simply a platform to support woke ideology. Avoid

Struggling to change mobile number

Shocking support when it comes to changing personal details, I want to withdrawn my money but the account is linked to my old mobile number. Reached out to change this and I have had no response other than the automated email reply.
