Banfield Pet Hospital - Frederick N Opiniones 1

I did my research on many local vet offices in my area when I first got my puppy 9 weeks ago. Banfield pet hospital was the most recommended from friends and family. Online reviews were hard to judge because of there being so many locations.

I would like to say that everytime I leave the office I am very frustrated with my decision to start a puppy wellness plan with them. When my puppy was hit by another dog, there was not an opening for WEEKS. When we came in for our wellness check they gave me attitude because I did not bring my puppy to them when he got bit (we took him to a family owned vet who made time for him that day). They also acted as if they knew nothing about him being bit although I called multiple Banfields In my area to find an opening.

Next, they do not allow anyone back with your animal (in our area). I do not appreciate that I am a paying customer monthly and the rest of our area is open without masks, but the “doctor” gets to decide if they want paying customers back. Honestly think they just are using Covid as an excuse to not have us back there so they can handle our puppy however they want.

This last visit our puppy came out of the appointment excited to see us and they pulled him back to the back (unwillingly) because they “forgot to do one more thing”. Are you kidding me? Additionally, he had a horrible fishy smell from his butt that he only makes when he is extremely scared. Usually we only smell it when he is scared being in a moving sound. Which tells me he was scared enough back there that he secreted the oily smell.

The list goes on. I don’t like that there was a couple waiting for their dog and the doctor came out to talk to them with us right next to them and we overheard them telling the couple that there dog may have cancer. That is an intimate conversation and it should NOT have occured in front of other customers. Another reason why families should be allowed back with their animals and be able to have individual conversations with the doctors. We relocated ourselves to give them the privacy they deserved. I would mot recommend a plan with banfield.
