WORST BUSINESS EXPERIENCE EVER…
If I could I would give them negative 0.
Made a purchase for over $13000 from their online website.
Nearly month now and I’ve not received camera lens and accesories!
They promised 1 week turn around, what a joke! I’ve called and emailed multiple times and get the same BS story it is being packed and will be sent in a few days.
Still waiting to date for gear to arrive.

No refund for a lost parcel!
I placed an order on 25th January which was only sent on 7th February (the website was showing the item was in stock but it was clearly misleading).
Then my order got lost by Australia Post which I created a case. Now Georges Camera won't return my emails for my refund, I'm furious. Do not recommend at all!
Company appears to be going broke - avoid at all costs!
This company is an absolute joke. Second time I have ordered a product from them that they don't even have despite saying it is 'In Stock' and never receiving it. Made an order on 26/12/23 for a battery that was supposedly in stock.
Was updated on 28/12/23 that I would receive the order within 4-8 business days.
Asked for an update on 6/1/24
Was advised on 8/1/24 that they still didn't even have the item in stock from their supplier and it would be at least another 4-8 business days. Requested a refund as I needed the battery for an event before then.
9/1/24 Received an email from Georges stating the order had been cancelled and I would receive a refund in 5-10 business days. There is absolutely no reason in 2024 why a refund should take 5-10 business days for a refund. Someone was obviously looking at my order to be able to respond to me - a refund should be almost instantaneous.
No refund was issued.
I emailed Georges on 15/1, 24/1 and 3/2 chasing the refund, and received no reply to any of my emails.
Today on 5/2/24 I received an email saying it still wasn't processed but they would let me know when they have done it! Not even an indication of when that would be. Almost a month after the order was cancelled and still no refund - clearly this company is in serious financial trouble. Do yourself a favour and don't buy from them.

This is the 2nd and the last time I order through Georges. their delivery times are abysmal. Once they've got your money, you just have to wait and wait - I start a feature in the morning and I wanted the items here. They're estimated delivery was the 20th of Jan.

I had a really bad experience with a well-known store in Sydney. Even though I chose to buy a new Mirrorless camera from Georges because of their competitive prices, I was disappointed by the unpleasant attitude and lack of willingness to help from their customer service. I don't think I'll be visiting them again unless it's for the price. Also, they claim to have stock available on their website, but when I placed my order, they said it would take a few more days to arrive from the supplier. This was frustrating because I was planning to use the camera for an upcoming event and waiting for the supplier to ship it was not ideal.

Then upgraded to the next more expensive model that they said they have in stock, called back 6 days later, get told we will ship today. First and last time using this store. Terrible service and broken promises.
False advertising no stock no refund
I ordered two clamps and paid for on 23 August as they told me they had stock
It was sold as in stock ships 4-8 day .
3 weeks later one arrives then you tell me you are waiting on stock for the second, promising me you would get back to me ASAP then nothing

Avoid this company at all costs. What the comments are saying about George's Cameras is true. You know it is really sad for us to leave reviews like this. If you want Australians to support the locals, please stop ripping us off. You wonder why we shop online overseas. You complain about the cost of running a business and the lack of customers but I believe you deserve to go out of business if this is how you treat your customers.

I've shopped from Georges multiple times and every time the same issue. Take your money then you don't hear from them for weeks to confirm it's even being delivered.
I ordered a lens they said was in stock and would ship in 4-8 days. Two and a half weeks later no contact so I contacted them and what I got was a condescending, sarcastic guy saying if I wanted a refund for having to wait a little longer I could and yet he gave no indication or confirmation of when it would actually be shipped.

the worst customer service I have ever seen!! I've ordered a charging cable for my garmin andive been waiting 2 weeks for it. I've tried emailing them but they don't reply. I've also seen other reviews online where these people take 10% of your money if you cancel an order that they can't complete. Absolute starvers!!

2 months waiting for delivery, then 1 month waiting for refund
I ordered a RavenEye wireless link for my Ronin gimbal from Georges Sydney online site on 20th December 2022 and I didn't see anything stating that the item was not in stock and that it wasn't ready to ship.
They took my money and close to 2 months later I was still waiting for news of it's arrival.
After contacting them again on the 13th of February asking for a delivery date or a refund they offered me a refund which they said would be 5 to 8 days....waiting....waiting....until I contacted them again on the 13th of March asking where the refund was. Finally 24 hours later it appears in my bank account.
Canon Binoculars 18 x 50 IS
I was looking for Canon Binoculars 18 x 50 IS. I saw them on Georges site and they appeared to be available. I chatted with Bonni online on their site who confirmed they were in stock, last pair. Bonni forwarded an invoice immediately and I paid it quickly with express postage. I received the binoculars about 48hrs later, 900km away. Thats great service and also ecstatic with the binoculars, which were out of stock pretty much everywhere else.

It will sound like an advert but always good service, prices and range. I have ordered a couple of items for business use. On the one occasion they didn't have stock for the item I wanted, a customer rep suggested a replacement which worked out to be a much better product and price. Customer service are responsive despite being busy and invoicing was done quickly and efficiently. Good stuff.

Wish I had read the reviews before placing an order at this place.
I needed a replacement DJI RC which I could have ordered directly from DJI itself, however it said the shipping would take 5 - 7 days via DHL from the US. Georges had it listed in Australia, so ordered through them instead. It has now been over 15 days and still hasn't shipped ! They won't respond to the current status of the order.
Seems like their business model advertise products on their website without actually having the stock, take peoples money, then buy from the wholesaler and ship it to you weeks later.

I ordered a $1000+ lens from George’s…
I ordered a $1000+ lens from George’s with the necessity of having the product within a certain timeframe. Here’s how things went down
- I paid the money, and paid for express shipping, as the item was listed on the website with a delivery estimate of 1-4 days
- 5 days later, no lens and no contact from George’s (money taken, though)
- I send an email to customer service to enquire, it gets ignored
- 6 days from order, I send another email and receive a response saying that they didn’t have the item in stock, but we’re waiting on canon to send it to them as they ordered it for me. NOT what I asked for, but a recurring theme in most reviews (so, perhaps a business model to do this)
- I am graciously told that the express shipping amount will be credited to my account for my next purchase. Not refunded, credited. Because when a business lies to you the first time you use them, you’ll definitely be back right?
- I write back immediately and say I want a refund as it was now past the date I needed the item for, and I would not have made a purchase if I’d been supplied with the information that it was out of stock.
- 7 days from purchase, email ignored, sent a follow up
- 8 days from purchase, email ignored, sent a follow up
- 9 days from purchase, that email ignored too, sent a follow up
- 10 days from purchase, no response since I asked for my refund.
It’s a clear breach of ACCC payment without intent to supply. I encourage others who have this issue to follow up the ACCC regarding George’s because, to me, it seems like having no stock but not telling the potential customer this is a recurring theme for a long time now, which indicates the business is aware of this but not addressing it.
The fact I’ve been ignored made it so much worse. It could have been handled so easy with basic customer service. Instead, I’m feeling ripped off and unheard.
I’ll never deal with George’s and I encourage others to consider competitors.

Excellent customer service and sales. Order over 5+ cameras over the last years and only add really positive experiences. I would definitely recommend this company, especially if you are in sydney.
