No reply to my request

Wwutilities are due to excavate in our area from mid-June and have said that they will close the main road. This will result in a return journey of almost 30 miles per day instead of my usual 9 miles and, due to the mayhem caused by the traffic re-routing and build up will massively increase journey times and sitting about in traffic for many hundreds of locals. I submitted a complaint on 6 May 2026 asking for clarification as well as a request for help with fuel costs. Despite two further attempts to chase after a week and the a fortnight with no reply I have decided to submit this feedback. Wwutilities do not seem to care about their customers and do not even show the courtesy of replying to reasonable requests.

Under no circumstances allow this…

Under no circumstances allow this company onto your property to install a pipe.
After severing our gas supply, due to lack of planning, they destroyed our property when they returned to re-install a new pipe. Then spent 2 years bullying us in an attempt to not accept responsibility.
Shockingly unprofessional, rude and aggressive

Supply problem sorted in under an hour from phone call to resolution

Recently my heating engineer came to service my boiler. He said gas pressure was low, and needed addressing. Rang my gas supplier,E.ON. They had no idea what to do or why it mattered, perhaps they don’t have natural gas in India? but they did give me the contact number for Wales & West who manage the pipework and infrastructure.

My phone call was answered quickly (unheard of these days!) and I spoke to Chris, who instantly understood the problem. She was diligent in making sure there were no safety issues, leaks etc, and promised to have an engineer at my house within 2 hours. Chap turned up after 35 minutes, and was able to undertake the necessary work quickly. Very polite guy (sorry didn’t get his name), all sorted within 1 hour of my phone call. This is so strange an experience these days that I felt the urge to share it!!!!!

Lying lazy work force

Lying lazy work force siad there was going to complete work over the weekend on the main road still waiting for the work to be done in the mean time queuing traffic and Wales and west utilities don't give a dam

The broken gas main in Kingsbridge on…

The broken gas main in Kingsbridge on Saturday 3rd January caused a major incident when 4000 properties in Kingsbridge, Malborough and Salcombe were without gas. WWUtilities were amazing. They fixed the broken gas main overnight and then had to visit every property to ensure the gas was turned off, they had difficulties with this because of the high number of second homes in the area. They then visited each place again the reinstate the supply and make sure boilers and appliances were working safely. During the outage they handed out electric fires and hot plates to those in need. The engineers were lovely, polite and efficient and worked out of Malborough Village Hall. The incident coordinators and managers were calm and friendly. The whole operation was completed in 3-4 days- a fantastic response to a problem that was not their fault.

Contacted customer support on 2…

Contacted customer support on 2 occasions for different reasons. First time 3 months ago for my Daughter as new gas mains being installed. The helpdesk was brilliant and contacted the workers on site. They managed to work round us perfectly. 2nd time a few days ago and again sorted out our issue the following morning. Many thanks to all involved.

Quick to dig Slow to fill

We have now had the whole road completely pock marked with holes and barriers for two weeks. Piles of dugout rubble surround us together with bags of rubbish. Wrong information given on several occasions. Not a happy experience having the main gas pipe replaced!

Best customer service ever six stars

So octopuses and British Gas failed to do the job and provide a gas meter .. began 23 may wwu originally laid gas service . Mole ploughing with little mess. They were half the price of commercial companies and sensibly avoids road crossing . All laid in grass

Ellie tuft at WWU helped all the way and when octopus couldn’t manage the last bit she pushed them hard

It went on so long shes actually left the company and I tried British Gas on recommendation of local estate agent . But I had 1 persistence problem with £1000 over billing in last year so had heavy heart ♥️ going back to BG

Gwyn stepped in from WWU and today 10 October he got the meter with his WWU team and we are leaving BG happy ending…

most incompetent bunch ever

most incompetent bunch ever, they're replacing the gas mains on our estate and since they've been here they've done nothing but cause issues, 1st it was blocking off residents parking spaces unnecessarily and today they damaged an electricity cable resulting in the whole estate having to be disconnected while another compay fixed what they broke, raise the parking issues with their workforce and they just laugh at and ignore you, they've also made a right mess of our communal grass areas with their dumper truck
