Beautiful car to drive and lovely people to deal with both incoming and outgoing. The car was actually booked by me - Graeme was a passenger/carer. We had problems with finding out how to open the boot and also how to fill with fuel. That might be due to our age though. Maybe training in advance could have been a good idea.

Fantastic little car, friendly and prompt pick up and drop off at the airport - no problems at all!

This was my response to your team upon returning the vehicle. I received a follow up call & email after sending my the below that was very disappointing to say the least.

Good Afternoon

As per the discussions with your team at Launceston Airport the small mark pointed out to me was on the vehicle when it was collected.

It was not marked on the inspection sheet & I did not notice that it wasn’t marked on the inspection sheet at the time of pickup.

I indicated to your team at the time of return that the small mark was there when I collected the vehicle but obviously they did not believe me. However, I refute in the strongest possible terms any suggestion that I am being anything but truthful.

As the vehicle on pickup was parked so that it was facing the office, I scanned the vehicle as I approached seeing this mark as I was close to the car, I did not walk around the vehicle as a. I trusted your team’s assessment of the vehicle and b. it was raining so I wanted to get out of the rain as quickly as possible.

Furthermore the suggestion that your team could have not mistakenly missed this small mark before I picked the vehicle up is ridiculous and in any case I would have thought a mark such as that would be fair wear and tear given its proximity to the ground.
Mistakes are made, things are missed and I am in no way suggesting I am immune from this but in this case however the events outlined above are true and correct.
A case in point to illustrate this; On returning the vehicle your team asked if there were any issues with the vehicle and my replied was that a. the windscreen wiper blades needed changing because all they did was smear the water over the windscreen making it difficult to see and b. the mats in the front were dangerous as they caused your feet to slide around while driving. Your team apologized and thanked me for the information saying they would see to these issues.
Now given your duty of care responsibilities to your customers I would have thought these safety issues would have been picked up as part of a pre-hire safety check so as to not expose your customer’s danger or your company to liability. However I understand that these may have been mistakenly missed and I take your teams word that these issues will be addressed and that Bargain Rentals did not deliberately set out to place myself or my family in any potential danger.

I have been an AVIS Preferred customer for 20 years and have never had any issues whatsoever over this time, I used your company because AVIS had no smaller cars available at the time of booking and despite the above, overall the hire was a positive experience.

The wait time to get the rental car was extremely long. The front passenger window did not go up or down unless driver used button on their side. Van ride back to airport was rough first time feeling car sick. Driver put there foot flat down then let it off on repeat instead of staying one speed.
