Overall an excellent tour. Professional yet friendly drivers who were very knowledgeable and kept us informed as to what was happening and with timings. All hotels and food good with some better than others. Comfortable coach with good drinks service. Optional tours well worth doing. Advise prospective travellers to carefully read itinerary and check distances, as some passengers on our tour grumbled about travelling time which wasn't really a problem and part of the tour. Highly recommend.

Really disappointed that there was no WiFi onboard the coach, so no entertainment available - no movies, nor TV programmes or possibility to follow the map etc. This was a huge factor in choosing this type of luxury coach holiday. After a very long day - the second in a row - traveling over 12 hours to go 1000km from Reims to Lake Garda it was quite a shock for our inclusive meal at the hotel to be just a one course cold buffet. Hotel Verdi in Fiuggi, words almost fail to describe how awful it was. - Rooms, decor, lack of suitable WiFi (an absolute must in 2026 surely) and the service left a lot to be desired. Even the cereal (as much as there was) was served were disposable plastic bowls The first meal was so bad, almost the full coach party chose to eat elsewhere for the remainder of the time. I enclose a photo of the disgusting meal consisting of just a leg of chicken and tinned peas. When I pointed out to the owner that the meat was undercooked and therefore unsafe, he replied “I don’t understand.” and just took it away with no apology or offer of a replacement. Simply unacceptable. All in all the whole trip fell far short of the level of our expectations of the holiday and the lack of care and quality on many various occasions and locations could not be described as value for money. I have formally complained to Leger and am awaiting their response.

Lovely couple of weeks spent in Italy. Coach drivers Chris & Phoenix were very professional and efficient. Hotels fine on the whole - tended to be three star so it’s not going to be The Ritz and it’s not going to be Fawlty Towers either. Recommended.

Hotels were poor, drivers were not very interactive and made days to suit themselves rather than the party.Food in restaurants was good, but hotels fed any rubbish they could get away with Left us with all the wrong pictures of Italy

If you were hoping for 2 star accommodation, almost inedible hotel food, intransient escorts, and rude hotel staff, interspersed with amazing scenic views and rushed visits to iconic Italian towns, then this is a trip for you. If you expect a luxury trip with exceptional hotels and time to enjoy italian cuisine in opulent surroundings as we had, then you will be sorely disappointed. A memorable trip for all the wrong reasons. Highlights were the views and meeting interesting fellow travellers. We had hoped this would be a window to more Leger holidays. Sadly we shall not be returning. If you are to go, do not pre-book tours and if you like a hot drink , take your own kettle. I hope you enjoy your trip more than we did. Certainly not to the standard we are used to.

Absolutely amazing trip beautiful location the coach drivers went above and beyond to make the trip special with knowledge of the history of the places we was visiting or driving past and also made the coach journey fun with quiz’s and jokes on the coach would definitely recommend this trip and will 100% be booking again for another adventure

Excellent holiday. Very intensive travelling, not go feint hearted, as multiple cities visited. The crew were excellent drivers, I felt very safe. Some of the hotels weren’t as good, but overall a good holiday

Drivers didn't go all-out just did what they had too. The second day was a very long day 14 hours travelling maybe rejigging of the itinerary is needed. Some hotels very outdated. But overall experience well worth it if you want to see the main sites of Italy.

The holiday could have been excellent if it had been organised better, The main hotels where we stayed the longest needed to be of better quality and service as they were poor not what people would expect if staying awhile, The coach and staff were not up to the standard on a Luxuria coach which we paid extra for and expected as i have experienced far better on my previous experiences with yourselves, The coach had no hot water or any air conditioning for the whole of the holiday and were not informed until on route, this needed to be sorted as it was like this on the previous holiday and was going out again the next day still faulty which i was informed, As far as the drivers go i got the impression that George and Joan were on their holidays as a couple, not sure who arranged the time schedule but the day that we went to Rome which we were really excited about we were asked to leave at 3-45pm to rush back to a terrible hotel with not even a nice town to spend any time in whilst waiting for dinner, the meal was terrible which just made that day worse we should have had more time in Rome as it was very busy being it a Sunday, George was very pleasant but did almost all the driving not sure if this was safe where as before it was shared, i could go on even more but think this is enough and i will have to give some serious thought before considering another trip with yourselves which is a shame as i really enjoyed my previous holidays.

Several poor family-run hotels in Italy, in particular Villa Laura in Fiuggi. Isolated locations. No or little food choices. Meat and one veg. No rice or potatoes. Salad just lettuce leaves in one hotel. DIY porterage in some instances. Brisk half-hour+ walks to central tourist locations before any sightseeing/guided walks, which many on tour found challenging, yet Leger's 'physical rating' on this trip is given as 'low'. Issues on Luxuria coach - no hot drinks and no aircon throughout trip. Same coach with same problems on same trip to Italy a couple of months before in the summer. Issues could easily be resolved by sending British reps (not local ones) to review hotels and their food provision to ensure a decent standard, ensuring coaches are in good working order before departure and pre-advising that the 'physical rating' is moderate rather than 'low'. In addition, advice that passengers endure lengthy drives. One day our driver George drove us nearly all of the 627 miles in one day. A massive distance, risky perhaps and exhausting for all on board. On the plus side, we saw a great deal of Italy and are now in recovery from an extremely energetic trip. Photos of shabby Villa Laura exterior, view of mould from bathroom window and bedroom shutters that wouldn't open. Another hotel bedroom looked out onto the side of another building a few feet away.
