The Nextbase OBD Power Cable offers a simple plug & play solution with a 5-metre cable to give you the ability to install the power cable in your vehicle to meet your needs.
By using your vehicles OBD port the Dash Cam will be connected to a permanent power supply ensuring the camera is not only recording while you’re driving but also can access the power in the event of a collision when your vehicle is parked. The OBD port eliminates the need to use the 12V outlet (car cigarette socket). It includes a 90° connector for an easier connection, as well as an LED indicator light to show when the Dash Cam is connected, and power is available. *Compatible with vehicles with an OBD port.

I changed my car and didnt realise that the cigarette lighter socket/accessory power supply was permanently live, so my car battery was flat next morning. This item is great item as it cured the issue and now I don't have to remember to plug and unplug the dashcam anymore.

I've left review on complete camera bundle. Not impressed with Nextbase nonexistant customer service department. Camera keeps freezing and have to reset the camera all the time... Cannot get hold of anyone to discuss a returns as it is obvious teh product is faulty.

Professionally installed and now the obd cable is faulty and blowing fuses, I would have expected this from TEMU but not Nextbase. The cable has not been pinched , instead the voltage convertor has failed, I'm very happy with the camera but disappointed that I have to purchase another cable so soon.

Really good quality plugs straight into the connector, ample of wire to enable to route it into the camera, the best thing is that I will never forget to plug in lead again & run the rush of not recording possible incidents but more importantly never running the risk of fully discharging the battery😩 Well worth the upgrade to hard wire the camera 👍🤣
