Penrhyn is absolutely amazing. It is on the coast path, with immediate views of the cliffs and sea. It's the loveliest cottage at the end of a long bumpy track. The perfect getaway. Candlelit and such good fires, it's actually very warm even in the depths of winter. We'd give it full face stars all round if it had a new fridge, and if the fires had been swept out and ready to go, and if the lovely paraffin lamps had paraffin in them when we arrived. These were irritations, which you'd expect to be sorted for the price of the cottage. But, to be honest, the Coastal Cottage team are so lovely and were so quick to resolve any problems, it definitely won't put us off a return trip. It's a wonderful place, stuffed with old Welsh furniture, a piano and beautiful curtains and blankets all made locally. Just wonderful. Thank you Coastal Cottages for a fabulous holiday. We had a brilliant week.

Lovely location, but come prepared for the long rough track to get to it, and the lack of electricity. Cooker and fridge could do with replacing, but are functional. If you know how to cook on an oil fired Rayburn….good luck. I couldn’t get the oil lamps to work. However, an enjoyable stay with candle lit dinners and a lovely open fire. Coastal path just outside the back door and a view of the sea.

I love the location of this cottage and it’s tranquility, however over the years since we’ve been going there some things are looking a little tired like the fridge and cooker both in need of some tlc. The outside furniture is definitely in need of replacing so you can really enjoy this idyllic property.

This cottage is in the most wonderful location, right on the coast path, but we saw almost no-one! The lack of electricity made for peaceful evenings but it was perfectly manageable.

Have been many times love the location. But the quality of the China glass and cooking utensils very poor for the money. Quality and size of the bath towels a disgrace. Sadly we would not return.

In this modern world Penrhyn is probably an acquired taste - no electricity, no phone signal - but for us it is one of the most relaxing and beautiful spots we have ever been. We think this was our 6th visit ...and we will be back. Only blot was that I had ordered flowers as a surprise for my wife, who was having a significant birthday during our stay, and they were not there when we arrived - they were delivered later which was annoying.

This is one of best cottages if you want to be close to nature, and tranquility. There is charm and atmosphere inside the cottage. Ideal for dogs. It is packed with personal items which offers a challenge to cleaning. Would certainly go back again.
