Hi Tristan. Thanks for taking the time to leave this review, we always appreciate and take on board member feedback. Temperatures/air con in our gyms are automatically regulated by Smart machines. Whilst there have not been concerns on shower temperatures flagged during the monthly temperature checks, this will be looked into further. The club will continue to monitor this and report any concerns. If you have any further issues, the best way to pass them on for practical action is always to get in touch directly with the Gym Manager. You can approach them in the gym or email them using the contact info on the gyms homepage. They are always happy to discuss updates and improvements for the gym, and any issues that they might not have already flagged for review. Thanks, PureGym

I left and joined somewhere else. Years of no upgrades, lack of equipment compared to other gyms. Its a no brainer. I have been making suggestions for a couple of years about upgrades to keep people interested, you just get a generic BS reply. Not worth the money compared to other gyms near by who are much better equipped. Brislington pure gym has just fell behind with their lack of keeping up with good equipment. You just get the very basics here, nothing else. And for the same price you pay here you could go elsewhere and get much more.

Always been fine until the last few weeks
Always been fine really enjoy my workouts. However there seems to be a constant problems with the showers They are nearly always cold.
Which is not a great after working out.
Please please can this be resolved properly or else I might have to consider my membership which I do not really want to do.

Love Puregym…… I can go when it suits me and even though it’s normally early hours I have needed to contact the manager to gain access to the lift at the gym and he was great.

Outdated gym needs refurbishment
PureGym Bristol Brislington is in serious need of a refurbishment. Many of the machines and equipment are noticeably old and worn compared to other PureGym locations I’ve visited, which makes the gym feel quite dated. Several areas could use an upgrade to bring the space up to the same standard as other branches. It would be great to see some modern, well-maintained equipment and an overall refresh to improve the workout experience.

The equipment at Brislington is old and way past it's sell by date. The showers and toilets in the gents are disgusting. The one and only hand dryer has been out of action for 6 weeks at least with a sign saying it will be fixed. After contacting head office you just get fobbed off. The air con is leaking and pretty much ineffective.
It needs a revamp and soon, it's a dump when compared to other Pure Gyms in the area. My brother was shocked at the state of it compared to London's.
Spend your hard earned money at another gym group that is willing to invest in you as the customer.

We would like to assure you that we are reviewing feedback and will ensure this is addressed in club. Staff do undertake regular maintenance checks and work hard with our providers to ensure that facilities are fixed as soon as possible, if anything should be broken. We are equally as disappointed when this happens and sometimes need to wait for replacements but will have them in working order as soon as is safely possible. . Gym requires renovation
Bristol Brislington Gym-I’m cancelling my membership because this gym is a complete joke compared to other PureGyms in Bristol. It has NEVER been refurbished, the equipment is ancient, and the lack of glute machines is ridiculous. Other PureGyms in Bristol have a proper hip thrust machine, a standing hip thrust machine, and a glute kickback machine — here you get nothing. Not everyone wants to be stuck doing barbell hip thrusts, which are outdated and inconvenient. The gym does not have enough lower body machines at all.
It’s clear this gym has been neglected for years while others have been upgraded. I’m not wasting my money on a place that refuses to invest in its members. Until it’s renovated, I’d advise anyone to go elsewhere.

If you’re looking for basic gym…
If you’re looking for basic gym equipment, it works. Would love to see a hip thrust machine here as setting up with the barbell takes ages, and only one deadlift platform.
It’s quite small & could definitely benefit from a revamp. In all honesty, the gym group near by has just had one so thinking of swapping. I have a multi pass Pure Gym so makes more sense to keep it, shame about lack of platforms & glute based machines

A great place for an excellent workout.

Horrific Showers
This is my regular gym and I have been going here for around 3 years. No issues with the gym equipment, although the machines can often be out of use for weeks without being fixed.
I had to use the showers for the first time yesterday and they were absolutely disgusting. Hair on the wall from the last person/people who used it, dirt and grime on the floors, just a horrible experience that I will not be doing again if I can help it. There was cut hair on the floor of the changing rooms too, like someone had had a haircut in there! Puddles of water on the floor. I left the gym feeling grubbier than I went in.
