We phoned Wheelbase about reserving a particular bike they had in stock. They were happy to reserve the bike for us whilst I waited for my Cycle2work letter, paid a refundable deposit. Sent them the LOC 2 weeks later when I got it, they redeemed it immediately and refunded my deposit at the same time. I could have got the bike delivered 48 hour’s later however I requested some accessories were fitted, which they ordered and fitted and delivery ended up being 2 days after that. Matt could not have been more helpful. I would not hesitate to purchase from Wheelbase again, even though I live in Glasgow.

Good price and easy to order

Got hit by a pick up truck whilst out riding, so took bike in to get a damage appraisal. They booked me in and I was able to leave the bike with them, which was great. They rang me after the appraisal and discussed the issues. They didn’t try to exaggerate the damage or upsell extra work, they seemed to be very honest about it. They didn’t try the agreed work and I was able to pick the bike up the next day. Great communication and level of service, hassle free.

I picked up a new Trek Checkpoint ALR4 from the Lakeland store recently and the whole experience was great. James helped finesse the final touches on the bike to fit and add a few accessories; he also talked me through some specifics to the dismantling and maintenance of the bike. I then test rode the bike around the block several times and confirmed that it was definitely the correct bike for me. Visiting the store in Staveley also worked well as an excuse to detour through the Lakes and make a bit of a day of it. I was very happy with the price I paid and will be back for a tune up (and ride) in the area soon.

I ordered a road bike online from Wheelbase and the whole experience was excellent. The bike arrived well-packaged in a box with the frame protected and the wheels wrapped securely. Assembly was incredibly simple – all I had to do was fit the front wheel and the saddle and it was ready to ride.

The bike was also on a great deal compared to other websites, making it excellent value for money. The ordering process was smooth, delivery was efficient and everything arrived in perfect condition.

I would definitely recommend Wheelbase to anyone looking for a great price and fast, reliable service. I’ll happily shop with them again.
