Abysmal support. Site is ridden with bugs. Account opening process will stall and they will cancel your application without so much as telling you. Sessions time out in minutes and require 2FA with their awful mobile app every time, so that keeping an eye on a market becomes impossible. Site is horrifically slow. These guys have completely forgotten about the user.

Abysmal support. Couldn't do a simple move of an eSIM from one phone to another, not in the shop and not on the customer support line. Staff are untrained and unhelpful. May have to move back to One just to get the new phone working.

By far the best customer service of any company I've dealt with in NZ.
You can call them and they will answer. The person on the phone will be knowledgeable and empowered to actually do stuff.

Claims process is like eating glass.
Website is full of bugs, unusable. Can't change email address, having the call centre change my email address hasn't worked. Claims management features on site are broken.
I am left chasing my claim for days on end. Wait times on the call centre are half an hour plus.

Buildings insurance claim denied for arbitrary, officious nonsense reason.
"To proceed with the claim, we require confirmation that the cause of the damage falls under an insured peril. Unfortunately, without an official report we are unable to validate your claim."

Contacted support before opening an account to check that USD transfers in could be done to a true US bank account, not using SWIFT. Was assured this was the case.
My account is now open and guess what? SWIFT transfers in only, for USD.
I also asked a simple question about the bank details for these transfers and have now been waiting two days for a response. Support is useless.

Meridian are running a referral program at the moment. They claim they'll give you a $200 credit and your friend a $100 credit if you join.
Then during sign up they'll ask you if you also want a $200 "new joiner" credit. They do NOT mention that if you accept this they'll then cancel the referral credit.
Meanwhile, they make no effort to apply the credit on your friend's account, can't use their own referral links, and are generally unhelpful. I get the sense they just hope you'll give up on it.
It's a bait and switch.

If you order something from Amazon and it has a value of over NZD 1K, you need a "client code" from NZ Customs. No-one will tell you this until your package is already stuck at customs.
I provided this and am still waiting, 14 days later, for my package. I have an email thread with Amarex and they don't respond on it, ever. Today they emailed me asking for the client code again.
