I've now used the services of 247 London Locksmith LTD twice, first time when I moved in to the property and recently when I needed an additional lock enhancement. They are easy to book- you just call and provide an image of the lock and then the locksmith comes over (in our case within the hour). I've had Lucas twice, and was friendly and quick and most importantly locks exchanged by him are doing great! I would highly recommend him and his team.

You really can't beat a recommendation from a local neighbourhood WhatsApp group; it's so much more reliable than just picking a random name online. Happy we could solve the issue with a couple of messages by WhatsApp and get it sorted fast.
In easy-to-solve cases like this, where we believe the customer can fix the issue themselves without extra cost, we are always happy to help over the phone/WhatsApp.

Reliable and fair, no hidden costs or changes
I got locked out of the flat, no spare key at any reasonable distance. Needed to get back in ASAP, so I needed someone reliable and quick.
Got in touch and the guy arrived very fast, which immediately took a lot of the stress out of the situation.
Before he even came, I was given a clear quote, and what I appreciated most was that this was exactly the price I paid in the end, no changes, no hidden extras, which is not something I’ve experienced with other locksmiths. It felt honest and transparent.
He was very friendly and professional throughout, and he didn’t rush the job or give up, as the lock was faulty on top of everything. He spent a good amount of time making sure he could get me in without needing to replace the lock.
Overall, great service, fair pricing, quick response, and a genuinely trustworthy approach. I’d definitely use him again and highly recommend him to anyone who wants a reliable locksmith.

Dreadful company. They rip you off. Was charged £800fof a job that cost £130. When I didn't want to pay the locksmith threatened to take the lock out. Unpleasant person. And dishonest. He must be stopped.

Outrageous scam – charged £788 for a 3-minute job
I called this company after finding them online. On the phone I was told the job would be around £80 for a simple stuck key. Their own website price list also states £39–£79 for a standard non-destructive entry.
A locksmith (“George”) arrived, spent about 3 minutes freeing the key using pliers and a mallet, and left the lock completely unchanged. No parts were used, no drilling, no replacement, no repair, nothing except freeing the key.
Despite this, he demanded £788.40 on the spot via Apple Pay and would not provide an upfront invoice stating it would be emailed 5 minutes after he left. It did not arrive so I chased via WhatsApp. When it finally arrived, the invoice falsely listed things on top of the “emergency service which is according to the website should be the only fee listed as emergency door opening”. He added an additional“Labour to open the door” and “Repair new lock”, neither of which were carried out. There was no new lock. When I queried the invoice with him, he claimed he doesn’t know what website I’m on about and tried to distance himself- but he was sent by them!
This price is more than ten times their own advertised rates and wildly beyond any normal London locksmith fees (usually around £90–£180 for this type of job).
After checking online, I can see many other customers reporting the same pattern of:
• very simple jobs
• extreme overcharging
• inaccurate invoices
• no upfront quote
• pressure to pay immediately
I strongly advise avoiding this company. The pattern of behaviour is, in my experience, completely unacceptable and appears to be part of a wider issue affecting multiple customers.

Hello, sorry to hear, we would charge around £95 all in for that. you got scammed, we are only available on 0777055880, so check who you called before spamming other companies online. You should have called the police or call your bank to cancel transaction, and defiantly not pay this ridiculous price. All the best.

I was being respectful and listening, but it got too much and said I respect his views, but I'm not interested in allowing jesus. He kept going...
Would never use this company ever again.

We don’t charge VAT or call-out fee.
Call your bank to report that transaction and cancel it.
And another note, people are fooled by unrealistic quotes online, and end up paying ridiculous amounts.
Do your research and only book from someone who used a locksmith themselves, as this is not a regulated trade and full of scammers.
Your review is misleading and preventing customer from an honest company.
Fkr a simple lock change we charge typically £120-140 depends on lock snd location. However, we we woute this online people are comparing it to £35-50 quotes and choose to go with the cheaper option.
We are just being honest upfront.

Of course we can sometimes skip one, and apologies if we missed your request.
There isn’t any trademark in this industry, it’s not Coca Cola, just locksmiths trading in London 24/7, hence the confusion of many people when composing here.
Furthermore, many times I get invoices from the people who complain, and the names is not even similar of our name, and names like- lock doctor, top locks services, 247 London and many more.
I understand people want to take there distraction out, but it’s not always directed at the correct place.

Unfortunately, there are many companies in the UK with names very similar to this one, which leads to many people making mistakes.
I change my review score because mistakenly filed a complaint with this company, and they responded promptly, for which I am truly grateful.
However, I fail to understand why such a well-established and responsible company in a country like the UK permits others to exploit its name and reputation without taking legal action to put an end to this significant.
My initial complaint was this:
I just got my service for my lock, to which I had lost the key to.
Even though I called the company once initially to give my address, and the locksmith personally called me again to confirm the address, he came and drilled into the wrong hole Just in a moment of my negligence, despite the fact that I pointed the right hole!!
He was very rud and didn't even introduce himself!
He then proceeded to blame me for this, and charged me 288 GBP extra for breaking into my neighbour's mail box. (A total of 500+ GBP!!!!)
He insisted that I leave him alone as he worked and he will call me back when he's done, and when I called them (08085880354) someone picked up the phone very rude And he shouted at me and told me it's my fault for trusting the employee and leaving him alone.
The locksmith man said that he has a lot of numbers in his head all day and it's my fault that he did not double check the address. or confirm with me before drilling into a whole other keyhole!!

Unfortunately any company can trade under whichever name it wants, regardless if it’s their registered name or not.
As you can see, when you are dealing with professional scammers, they can change and bend the rules, and believe me we tried.
As I explained to you, many fall fkr the scam by these companies, as they often changes their name, closing and opening companies and working under different names then their registered name and provides misleading info on their invoices.
Very confusion I know, that’s exactly what they are meaning to do.
Furthermore, we are registered and trading under '247 London Locksmith LTD, and you used a company named "Top lock and key service LTD” which isn’t slightly similar.

It’s a scam!! Do Not Call Them
I contacted this company for a locksmith to fix a back door leading to my garden. It wasn’t an emergency, yet they assured me the locksmith would arrive within 30 minutes. On the phone, no questions about the issue were asked, and their website clearly lists a £39 call-out fee.
When the locksmith arrived, I was shocked when he said the lock replacement would cost at least £200 just for the drill, plus additional charges for the lock itself. That’s outrageous! When I declined to proceed with such excessive costs, I was informed that I still had to pay a £59 call-out charge — much higher than what was advertised.
This feels like a bait-and-switch tactic, with misleading pricing and poor transparency. I would not recommend this service to anyone. Be cautious before using them!

Don’t fall for £39 quotes online, no locksmith will come for that price, it’s too cheap, so a big red flag for you there.

The fellow who assisted me ostensibly was a lovely fellow, however even the devil has a sweet tongue. Their pleasant demeanour is just a front, so you don't realize you are being exploited.
They profit of your desperation. They misrepresent the price to get you in the door, then jack up the price when you have bought in.. I was quoted 90 quid which was subject to change, which increased to 169 which increased to 309.
They give asinine explanations, such as it is a special lock or agency fees, now due to the emergency nature of the situation e.g. locked out, its cold, its late, you are understandably perturbed, and their agent would be a "pleasant fellow" you will most likely not be thinking too clearly and acquiesce.
However believe you will wake up feeling extremely violated and exploited.
They charged me 309 pounds to open the door.
I repeat, not even to replace the lock just to open the door, they were charging me an extra 300 quid.
For reference it costs 119 pounds to grant access and to replace the lock together with a set of two keys .
So in summary, they quoted me 90 pounds and then wanted. to jack it up to 500 pounds, this is robbery, consumer exploitation, do not use them, there are tons of alternatives. which are MLA certified.
Avoid. Avoid. They are professional swindlers and con artists, and the people of London deserve better. Either be transparent about your prices or shut down your business.
Do not use AVOID! I cannot say it ENOUGH!

I understand when comparing quotes £49/£59 sounds very tempting, but this is exactly how the scam works, do not fall for this and do your research. It’s not realistic for anyone to travel
30 min each way for a job, fay for van, petrol, Indurance, training and parts, and only charge £49.
Especially if you pressed the ‘Google AD’ where the m as in scammers advertise with pay per click, and paying for each click up to £30. This price then roll over for the rest of the job, hence why they are charging extraordinary amounts.
If it happens to you do not pay in cash, and claim it back from your bank or card. Keep records of all communication with the person you booked the job with.
That’s why we always ask for a photo and postcode by text, and send a sound by text for all jobs we book. We quote realistic price, and charge the price we quoted.

I called at 7:30 a.m. on a Wednesday morning because the Yale mechanism on the front door was broken, and we could not get out (unless we jumped out the window!). Lukas came by 9 a.m. as promised, and the job was done by 9:30 a.m. There was no mess, a great new mechanism was fitted (no new keys were needed), and the job was completed in a very friendly and thorough manner. The invoice was sent promptly, too. I would highly recommend 247 Locksmiths London. Great, reliable service.

We would also never quote £60 for a lock installation, which takes more than an hour per door. We would quote around £140-190 depending on what locks client will choose.
Someone scammed you with a cheap s as pure and you went for it.
