Warranty support is unacceptable – I cannot recommend this company
My experience with 8849 / Tank 4 Pro has been extremely disappointing.
The fingerprint scanner on my phone stopped working completely. It is no longer active when trying to add a fingerprint in the settings. I performed all standard troubleshooting steps, including restarting the phone and carrying out a full factory reset, but the defect remains.
When I contacted customer support, instead of offering a proper warranty solution, they suggested sending spare parts and refunding me only **$50** so that I could try to find a repair shop myself.
This is not a serious or acceptable warranty solution.
In Germany, no official service is likely to take responsibility for repairing this kind of phone and provide a meaningful warranty for the repair. On top of that, **$50 is completely unrealistic** for diagnostic work and repair here. Support also admitted that there are “many uncertain factors” regarding the cause of the defect. Exactly for that reason, their proposal makes no sense: the problem may not even be the fingerprint scanner itself, but another internal hardware issue.
The phone is in **excellent cosmetic condition**. It has always been used in a protective case, has never been dropped, and does not have a single scratch. So vague references to possible damage after months of use are not a valid excuse to refuse a replacement or refund.
What I see here is simple: the company is happy to sell devices internationally, but when a real warranty case appears, they try to shift the risk, cost, and responsibility onto the customer.
That is not professional after-sales support. That is not a warranty I can trust. At this point, I cannot recommend this company to anyone.
