I took my car into this garage to get…

I took my car into this garage to get my back two ties changed and I too spare wheels in the boot which they were going to change for me for a different vehicle okay I'm the keys and sit down and after it while I thought it would go out and just have a look here they get an on to my shock they had all the wheels off the car and I said to them that is not all of them it was only the two backs they put them back on but ever since they put them on the car drives absolutely ridiculously it vibrates and wobbles all over the place it's been back to him twice and it didn't do it before and but it's still doing it now I'm going to try another to get them all balanced by a different so I would not recommend A2 tyres in sittingbone

Bad attitude from manager and receptionist! Avoid at all costs

Worse place in sittingbourne never going there again!
My daughter had a puncture went there to fix it “so they said” paid the money just to wake up this morning and the tyre was supper flat worse then before went there to sort it out they said they found another puncture it must’ve happened when we drove home! (Yesterday they had trouble finding the hole but today they found another one) My house is 10min away straight line on the main road where thousands of cars drive everyday I myself as a taxi driver drive everyday and have no issue. The lady was blaming the roads and advise me to contact the council which doesn’t make any sense as the road we drive has no potholes they been fixed by the council then she said oh no is not caused by potholes so why suggest I contact the council then? What’s the chances that it happened to the same tyre. I believe they didn’t not fix it properly and charged me again the attitude from reception and the manager stinks!!! The manager was rude and talking down on me even made my daughter cry she’s only 17 and a new driver that’s not how you treat customers. No sympathy or understanding he straight away said so what’s the problem this things happen .i said to him I find it very strange that it happened to the same tyre within 10 min drive on main road we didn’t do any reversing so you would think if we got a puncture driving straight the front tyre would’ve got it not the rear.
And they said well you had puncture first time The reason we had a puncture 1st time is we drove on the worse country lanes few weeks ago. Very rude attitude I run a taxi business and always suggest my drivers to change the tyres there but never again I would never treat my customers they way they treated me

After reviewing your comments and conducting an internal investigation, I am unable to agree with the issues raised.

Our records show that you arrived at 13:01 and your invoice was issued at 13:50, giving a total visit time of 49 minutes. The puncture identified on your first visit was a very small pinhole, only visible when the tyre was fully submerged in the inspection tank. Given that you reported inflating the tyre approximately every two weeks, this is consistent with the type of puncture found.

When you returned, the second puncture was immediately visible. Had it been present during your first visit, it would not have been difficult to locate. For clarity, the original repair was not leaking. It is entirely possible to pick up a new puncture immediately upon returning to the road. Additionally, while you stated it would be more likely to occur on a front tyre, industry data shows that around 80% of punctures occur on rear tyres, as debris is often lifted by the front wheels and then struck by the rear.

Regarding your comments about staff attitude, I have reviewed our CCTV footage and cannot agree with this assessment. Our team remained polite and attempted to explain the situation throughout. Unfortunately, they were subjected to unacceptable behaviour during your visit. We have a duty to protect our staff, and we do not tolerate abuse under any circumstances.

Having looked at your profile it would seem that the majority of your reviews are 1 star and are therefore very hard to please. And you always cite the attitude of the staff in your reviews.

Thank you again for your feedback. My review concludes that our staff acted professionally and did their best to assist you on both visits.

Went in for a one wheel to be balanced

Went in for a one wheel to be balanced as all weights had come off, and to have tracking done.
I had a mark on the paint work where the tire had been lent against the car by the people in the workshop which luckily came off with some T-cut.
I have now after a few months, gone to another garage for a new tire only to be told the 3 of the 5 wheel bolts are extremely tight on the same wheel this place took off for balancing, the other garage managed to take off 2 of the 3 wheel bolts but one is so tight its going to have to be drilled out!
Avoid this place.
It's full of kids who clearly don't even know the correct torque setting for a wheel bolt.

Good morning,

in response to your review I would like to apologise for what has happened but being where the work was completed nearly 5 months ago it makes it very difficult to investigate thoroughly with very few details. If you could let me know the registration number I will definitely look into this for you?

In terms of stating ‘full of kids’ all our staff are trained to a very high standard and use a fact sheet on every car to determine wheel torque settings and we are very strict on this. We encounter very tight wheel nuts on a daily basis and this is normally no fault of any previous fitters and can be caused by a number of different factors like thermal expansion and contraction from heavy braking, rust or corrosion, dirt accumulation in the threads, and the natural tightening effect of driving over time.

However due to your comments I will complete a training session around the importance of making sure every wheel we complete work on is torqued to the manufacturers specification set on our fact sheets.

Unplanned visit. .

Went in on the spur of the moment.
Requested certain tyres for rear of vehicle, got exactly what I asked for waiting just 20minutes. Good price.
Will use again…

2 tyres, nearly 2 hours

I visited your branch today for a 12:00 appointment to have my two front tyres changed. While the customer service at reception was polite, I was disappointed with how the appointment went.

I waited for nearly 2 hours, which was much longer than I expected when booking a lunchtime slot. In addition, I wasn’t informed when my car was ready and only found out after approaching the counter myself, at which point I was given an apology.

No complaints with the work carried out and I get it's tough when busy, however communication about the delay and not realising once the car had been finished seems pretty basic things to get wrong.

I wanted to share this feedback as the experience fell short of the efficiency I had anticipated when booking an appointment.

Update - amending to 2 stars. Received a phone call the following day saying I had been charged the wrong amount and paid too little. Caller was apologetic and I paid the amount. If it's owed then it's owed, however bit of a shambles all round this visit!

Great company, explain things really well

Been coming here for tyres for years, wouldnt go anywhere else. Really great service , all my family come here as well.

Unbelievable and dangerous

Ordered a new tyre to be fitted online took my car down to the tyre garage to be replaced. After an hour I heard some fella on the phone trying to find wheel nuts from other companies then started reading out my registration number for my car. after 10 minutes he called me over to the desk and said that the wheel nuts off the car had been damaged but wasn't by them. I said well it wasn't me was it he said he can't put them back on because it may damage the thread so what they have done is taken off 2 wheel nuts off two of my other wheels to keep that one on! I said so I've now got 3 wheels without enough wheel nuts so will my wheel come off and he said no. Well I'm no expert but I'm pretty sure if they have five it's 5 for a reason and the advice given was to go to a breakers yard where crash damaged cars are and get them from there!!! Great advice I think not. I've been using this tyre company for years and today will be the last time unfortunately. Allowing a car to go on the road with the wrong amount of wheel nuts is utter madness shows money takes priority over safety.
Cost me another 20 quid to sort out the wheel nuts so thanks very much fingers crossed the tyres lasts.
Very very disappointed.

I have tried calling you several times and left messages but so far I've been unable to make contact.

Having reviewed your case however, I can see that on this occasion we could have handled things better and I feel that we have let you down.

The wheel nut type on your Land Rover are notorious for swelling and causing issues when trying to remove them or refit them. Water gets under the cap on the nut and causes them to swell. This also happens on OE Ford nuts.

We know that this is the case therefore before commencing work on your vehicle we should have checked this and made you aware of the situation before removing your wheel nuts.

We should have also spoken to you to explain the situation before trying to find replacement wheel nuts over the phone. I agree that it wouldn't have been nice to hear your registration number being quoted over the phone without knowing what was going on with your car.

Had we explained the situation before commencing work I would say that we had done nothing wrong and that it's a particular problem with this style of wheel nut. I still stand by the fact that we didn't damage the wheel nuts and that it would have happened to whoever next removed those wheel nuts from your vehicle.

However, I do believe that we have let you down on this occasion as per the reasons above.

I was ringing to see if I can offer you a complimentary wheel alignment on your vehicle? If you would like to accept this offer please do not hesitate in contacting me.

Also, if you would like to discuss this further I would be more than happy to speak to you and hopefully come to a suitable resolution to yourself.

Excellent Service.

I used the Sittingbourne branch because they were recommended on Facebook. I wasn’t disappointed. The service was excellent, either polite and friendly staff. Reasonably priced and excellent work.

I can't remember the exact date but my partner came in to the Sittingbourne branch a few weeks ago but had forgotten the locking wheel nut key. A worker she believes was called Paul saw no issue with this and removed all 4 locking wheel nuts and replaced them in around 10 minutes. This meant my partner could get back on the road quickly and safely. Special thanks to that worker and A2 tyres for being so reliable.

Just an awful experience from the…

Just an awful experience from the start.
I telephoned 30 minutes before I arrived and was told there would be no waiting time. I needed two new front tyres. When I arrived there were many customers waiting. I asked some if they had been waiting a long time and it was apparent they were waiting at the time I was told the workshop was empty.
I was told to leave my car key in the ignition and wait. Thirty minutes later I asked if my car had been completed and was told they were waiting for me to give my key to reception.
When my car was finally taken into the workshop the tyre fitters started to engage in excessive horseplay around my car. When I went over to ask what was going on it was also necessary to ask one of the tyre fitters to take his tools and my wheel nuts off of the bonnet of my car.
I complained to the foreman and another employee called me boring.
When I got my car back after 1 hour and forty minutes I was so worried about the work A2 tryres had completed I drove slowly home and had the wheels and tyres checked immediately.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Firstly let me apologize that your locking wheel nut was placed on the bonnet of your car, this is not a practice that we encourage and therefore the necessary actions and training will be delivered to ensure that this doesn't happen again.

I have reviewed the HD CCTV system we have in place this morning and cannot see the horseplay that you are referring to, I am however more than happy to invite you in to review it with me and point out where we were going wrong.

In terms of the wait time, we never ask customers to leave their key in the ignition but to return the key to us so we can place it with the jobsheet in order to reduce delays in turnaround time, I can only say that this was potentially a misunderstanding.

In terms of being worried about the work we completed, the workshop foreman spent 15 minutes with you and the wheel alignment technician talking you through the process and the outcome. We also have a comprehensive training plan to ensure that our tyre fitters are more than capable and qualified to do the job.

All this being said we clearly fell below your expectations and at A2 tyres we strive to go the extra mile. I would very much like to discuss your concerns further. Please feel free to contact me at any time.
