As a bidder my experience is that you can’t trust their descriptions. Bought 16 boxes of
Ink toner described as new. I ended up with 7 empty cartridges and 9 new ones. What a huge rip job. They don’t even inspect what they are selling and can’t be trusted to run an auction. This was my first and last time bidding with Absolute Auctions. Avoid them. I’ll bid elsewhere.

Under no circumstances should these people be trusted. We purchased a storage unit "for sale by owner". When we realized the vast majority of boxes had been opened and that it had been staged. We immediately emailed the President & Secretary of AAR informing them that we had been scammed. We had been friends with these people for decades, when they were staff! It took days to get a reply but admitted that they have dealt with this "unit owner" for years- that this person buys delinquent storage units and that this person moves the items to his own space, removes the garbage, and that he re-taped the boxes.... anyone want to buy a bridge? We strongly believe this "unit owner" is one of their employees.

On June 5, 2025 I participated in an appliance auction on Absolute Auctions & Reality’s website. I won two lots, a new French door fridge and an upright freezer. The next day I received instructions on how to pay and set up a pickup date and time. I promptly paid and set up my pickup time & took the day off work as it was almost 4 hours one way from my house to the auction center. Upon arrival at my scheduled pick-up time, I was informed that I would not be receiving the freezer and given zero information or explanation. I was offered a refund in the form of a mailed check, when I asked for it to be returned to the card I used, I was informed “they don’t like to do that because it costs them money” LOL. I got my refund returned to my card but no other explanation, apology or offer to make things right. The questions I feel would come to mind with a business who appreciates their customers in this situation are; We should notify him about what’s going on, especially if it’s his only purchase and he makes the trip for nothing, what if he rents a trailer expecting the other item? What if he hires someone to load the extra items? This is a failure of business ethics on their part. This was a small purchase in the grand scheme of things but imagine dealing with this company on a major real estate purchase, “Oh sorry we don’t actually have that land you bought” but now all your money is tied up in a refund cycle and you didn’t bid on anything else. Something to consider if your thinking about doing business with AAR.

A trustable place for auction. Just make sure you are not rush to place an auction otherwise it may cost more like me :(. That is how auctions work anyways.
Sometimes the item descriptions don't match well the item itself. Better check when pickup.
