Mike was helpful and responded to my question whilst I was still on site - within minutes - and has ordered the spare part I needed. I had previously sought this elsewhere without success.

Don't rely on the staff's knowledge - checking for yourself, even for simple purchases, won't result n you arriving home with your purchase only to find it wasn't the right size,
the store was well-stocked but not easy to negotiate with a hospital wheelchair.
the staff was courteous and helpful but did not take into account the lack of mobility of the customer.
we could have made a better purchase for our needs ( incontinence products) - if more of a range had been offered - we were novice purchasers for these items
having a store in the hospital is useful for patients and carers attending clinics

We appreciate that visiting the store while using a wheelchair can present additional challenges, and we are pleased to hear that you found our team courteous and helpful. We are, however, sorry that you felt your mobility needs were not fully taken into consideration and that the product purchased was not right for you.
Ableworld has a number of stores across the country, and due to this particular store being located within the hospital, it is smaller and more compact than many of our other locations. We do appreciate that this may make navigating the store more difficult for some customers, and we are sorry for any inconvenience this caused during your visit.

Excellent service

Poor stairlift
Poor stairlift, has broken down 6 times in the 14 months my mother’s had it and they have the check to charge her £150 call-out to fix it, repair has lasted less than a week, you guessed it, it won’t work again….

Simply Superb Service
Having visited the excellent Ableworld store at the Orthopaedic Hospital in Gobowen and received first class service there we were subsequently visited by their stair lift installer/engineer whose name is Chris. His standard of customer service, workmanship, consideration, diligence, patience and courtesy was outstanding. He is a credit to Ableworld. It is rare indeed to meet such a very high standard of overall excellence. This gentleman should probably run courses on customer service.

Mike and a lady assistant gave us excellent service on both times we visited your store at your Gobowen shop.
We purchased an Apex - Lite Blue Scooter and both assistances demonstrated the scooter in a very understandable way.

Helpful and friendly
I went in to Ableworld to find out about Bath lifts and a wheelchair for my mum. Mike was very helpful and gave advice about the items I was.looking for but was never pushy. I bought what I needed and Mike demonstrated what I needed to do when I got home. His help was much appreciated and I will certainly go back when mum needs something else. So nice to have a person to speak to face to face rather than doing it online e.

Poor Quality Scooter?
Purchased a brand new "road-legal" mobility scooter for £2200 but it failed after less than three months of normal use. Been informed by ableworld that this is my fault as the scooter couldn't cope with a rain-shower returning from the shops, despite the documentation saying the scooter could deal with inclement weather! Scooter is either not fit for purpose or had faulty weather seals but I'm still being hit with a bill to repair. Poor quality scooter and poor service all round!
