Simbir and his team at Action Nepal Treks are amazing. I did the Manaslu Circuit in December with a small group of 5 women. I had never traveled to Nepal before and my expectations were blown away. Simbir made the entire trek seamless from the airport pick up to drop off. Simbir and our porters Umesh, Kanxa Dai, and Argun were the kindest most supportive crew. I felt extremely safe the entire time and genuinely enjoyed our time together. We played many rounds of cards together in the evenings, danced, and learned a lot of about Nepali culture. Simbir is so passionate about his company and what his does. It was inspiring to hear him talk about his company and how it fits in the future of tourism in Nepal. The Manaslu Circuit was life changing trip and cannot wait to go back. All my future adventures in Nepal will be with Simbir . I'd highly recommend Simbir and Action Nepal Treks if you are looking for a guiding company in Nepal.

If I could give 10 stars I would! I’m a 20 yer old female who has never done backpacking, hiking over 13 miles, less alone traveled to Nepal. I was a total beginner going into this, I didn’t know what I was getting into. I was also traveling in a small group of 5 women, including myself. However, going on the Manaslu trek with Simbir and Action Nepal Treks was the BEST decision ever. I felt so safe, taken care of with all my needs, Simbir and his team were SO supportive and took care all of us so well, before the trek, during the trek, and after the trek. You can tell Simbir takes extreme care of his clients. Him and his team made this trip so special for all of us! We laughed, danced, shared stories and connected so much aside from the trek itself. He is great at sharing the culture and history of Nepal as your trekking too! If I can do this all over, even as a solo female traveler, I 100% would!! Simbir is the best and I’m so grateful for the time we had together!

Simbir and all of the guides and porters did an absolutely incredible job in making me feel safe and mentally ready for the Annapurna trek. Simbir picked me up at the airport and was incredibly kind, making me feel instantly welcome. Each day, he would tell our group what to expect in terms of terrain and how much water we should have. I was much slower than the rest of the people in my group, and even though Simbir was one of the lead guides, he would come back often to make sure I was doing okay which I really appreciated. He was always smiling, and his early morning dances did get me in the right mindset for the journey ahead. I would recommend him a hundred times over for his deep experience leading treks and also for his warm personality and spirit

Simbir and Action Nepal Treks were amazing! We did the Manaslu circuit this November and had the best time. It began with Simbir picking us up from the airport. He was so friendly and easy to communicate with right of the bat. He made sure before we left we had all the right equipment, as it had just snowed and we now needed crampons. You can tell Simbir is very competent and experienced as a guide. The next day, we met up with Kanxa Dai, our porter, who was immediately so nice and such a warm person to be around. When we began the trek, Simbir always made sure we had enough food and stopped for snacks/drinks. After the storms the trail had washed out in places and with Simbir’s guidance we never felt unsafe at any point. Throughout the trek we learned so much about Nepalese culture from Simbir and Kanxa Dai. But not only that it, felt like we were hiking with friends. Overall, it was such a memorable experience and we already want to come back and trek with Simbir and Kanxa Dai again. I would highly recommend Action Nepal Treks to anyone looking for a guiding company!

Had the absolute best time ever doing the Manaslu Circuit Trek with Simbir at Action Nepal Treks! He was so helpful and understanding when we were deciding which trek to book, explaining all our options. When we arrived at the airport he was there to pick us up, dropped us off at our hostel, and took us out to dinner! He even assisted us in getting any extra gear in town that we needed. All the transportation to the trek was included and was quite an adventure itself. Exploring the Manaslu region with Simbir and our porter Kanxa Dai was so much fun. Every day was a new adventure and each area we got to explore were so beautiful. We played cards, ate lots of Dal Bhat (and snickers), and trampled around in the snow. Simbir and Kanxa Dai were the best duo I could ask for to go on a trek with, they were aware of any risks, but never worried us and made it a silly time. We also got to learn so much about Nepal through them, its culture, history, and development. We already want to come back and do another trek with Action Nepal Treks. If you get the chance to come to Nepal, do the Manaslu Circuit with them it will be the most amazing trip!!!!

Words can’t describe how amazing my ABC adventure has been with Action Nepal Treks. From the very first communication, Simbir has always been so friendly, helpful and going the extra mile to tailor to my wishes. He is very clear and open with his communication, is very easy to approach and his English is perfect.
I did the ABC Trek via Poon Hill for 8 days. Upon arrival, Simbir was already waiting for me at the KTM airport to welcome me and accompany me to my flight to Pokhara. During the trek Kanxa Dai joined us as my porter, the loveliest caring man who went above and beyond to always help me. From the start we immediately had a great connection between the three of us, always chatting a lot about Nepali culture and our lives. We laughed so much and had a lot of fun, always singing, dancing and playing games together. It truly felt like travelling with friends that I’ve known forever! From the beginning until the end I never felt alone, unsafe or uncomfortable. The great care and professionalism Simbir and Kanxa Dai gave were exceptional. You can really tell Simbir has so much experience and that he is extremely passionate about his work. I truly admire his story and hard work! Along the way multiple people told me “wauw, it looks like you guys have so much fun together, you have such a nice guide”, which is absolutely true and I think a huge compliment if even other people notice that. I am so grateful for this unforgettable experience with the best people and would always 100% recomment Action Nepal Treks. I fell in love with Nepal, such a special country. In fact, I cannot wait to return myself for the next adventure!

I had an extremely memorable Annapurna Circuit trek with Simbir. It was my first time doing a multi-day trek and he made sure that the group was taken care of well, ensuring we were paced and caught all the good view points! He would stop to share the names of the mountains and stories about the local people.
It was such a great experience, I reached out again to Simbir 6 years later to do the Annapurna base camp trek and it was equally memorable.
We had a shortened itinerary but Simbir’s positive attitude and pacing every day made things really fun along the entire trek.
I’d definitely return to Actionnepaltreks for any future treks I plan in Nep.

I went on the Langtang and Gosaikunda Lakes trek with Action Nepal Treks, and it was an unforgettable experience. Simbir was meticulous in ensuring the entire crew—from our guide to the porters—delivered the best service. Our guide was patient, attentive to our wellbeing, and also indulged our need for fun and a touch of luxury, especially when the conditions got challenging. For example, when it was really cold at Gosaikunda lodge and the fireplace was not burning yet in the early afternoon, the guide went out of his way to find wood scraps and got someone to start a fire outside the lodge so we could keep warm. That’s how over and above the service was!

Trekking with Simbir and his team has become an annual tradition for me—it’s always the highlight of my year!

I trekked the Annapurna Circuit with Simbir in October 2022, and I can honestly say it was one of the most memorable experiences of my life. A huge part of that was down to Simbir being an excellent and dependable guide.

Simbir speaks excellent English, and from the start, it was clear how experienced and capable he is. His story is inspiring—he started as a porter, worked his way up to a guide, and now runs his own trekking company. You can tell he truly loves what he does, and that passion comes through in how he looks after his group.

Throughout the trek, I felt totally safe and cared for. Thanks to his strong relationships with locals along the trek, we always had great rooms and warm welcomes. But more than that, he constantly made sure everyone in the group was doing well—physically and mentally.

One moment that really stuck with me happened during our descent from Thorong La Pass. The weather had turned, and we were navigating an extremely narrow path covered with snow. Simbir calmly guided each of us across including one of the more junior porters in the group who was clearly nervous about the situation. As we continued our descent, he also did not hesitate to help a porter from another group who was clearly exhausted by carrying his load to help him descend safely. That for me truly captured who Simbir truly is: someone who you can rely on and will go above and beyond for others.

No matter how tough the day was, he kept spirits high with his infectious energy and positivity. If you’re thinking about trekking in Nepal, I can’t recommend Simbir enough. You’ll be in the best hands!

Our (wife and myself) experience with Action Nepal Treks was second to none. We had an amazing guide and porter who both spoke English and were such amazing people to be around. They made sure we were comfortable and safe throughout, played games with us, and always kept us informed of any new mountain peaks or random fact that we needed to know about our surroundings. We were picked up from the airport, fed 3x a day, and able to enjoy the entire experience without worry. Already looking forward to coming back and doing another trek with Action Nepal!

From start to finish, our experience with Simbir and Action Nepal Treks was amazing. We did a 20 day trek combining both Manaslu and Annapurna circuits. Our guide, Yek, and Porter, Hari, were the most friendly and professional people you could ask for. We decided to change our plan not once but twice and they happily accommodated. They made sure we were safe, comfortable, and well fed. They answered our many questions, taught us local Nepalese card games, and we genuinely felt like family by the end of our trip.

The Langtang valley trek was such a great experience for me and my companions. The trek was definitely not an easy one which takes lots of endurance and determination. Thanks to Simbir and his team for their positivity and continuous encouragement and motivation to support us in the successful summit to Kyangin Gompa and Kyangjin Ri 4700m. This is a new and highest altitude for me and my wife.

Sumbir and his team really displayed great professionalism throughout the trek in making sure everyone’s safety and well being. Personally, I will rate this trekking experience a 10/10 with such great guides and porters. Highly recommended Simbir! I visited Nepal back in 2015 doing the Poon Hill trek with my friend, Simbir was still a porter and he was already amazing back then. He really took care of me, making sure I was ok all the way even I walked real slow and having some high attitude issue, and he also made sure we had hot water for shower when getting into guesthouse, and a super fun and friendly guy. He will make your trekking journey filled with laugh and warmth, having big smile all the time and with very positive energy. Back then he already mentioned he wanted to work hard and become a guide one day, and I am super proud of him that he finally started his own company! His dedication, responsibility, and positivity will for sure making your Nepal journey an unforgettable one!

Our party of four Australians, all over 60 yrs, undertook the “3 passes trek” and we were indeed most fortunate to cross paths with Simbir. He is a truly professional, genuine caring guide who closely monitored our health throughout and went above and beyond our expectations to ensure our success. Simbir was responsive to discuss various alternatives including accommodating health issues and proposing additional side treks.

His excellent command of English, positive nature, good humour and personable disposition ensured that we were entertained and enlightened even on the most challenging days. Dancing and laughing with Simbir at the top of the Renjo La Pass took my breath away - physically and metaphorically ! He has an excellent understanding of Nepal’s culture and environment which enriched our journey. Simbir is highly respected by his supporting porters and the many Lodge owners we lodged with. Similarly he truly cared for ‘AJ’ and ‘Dill’ our sensational porters.

When another trekker, hiking with her own guide, experienced altitude sickness at Kala Patthar at 1 AM, Simbir monitored her acute symptoms and coordinated her helicopter evacuation a short time later. The next day his positive enthusiasm continued unwavering. This was my third year trekking in Nepal and without doubt the most rewarding thanks to Simbir. I will have no hesitation in hopefully having Simbir as my guide for future treks. Highly recommended.

As a small group, we did the three passes Trek with Simbir and his porters in late 2022 (not 2024). They were all terrific. Simbir led his team and our group with ease and knew the right times for humour, encouragement and subtle pushes :-)
One of our group had a sickness and Simbir managed the necessary changes (route, porterage, accommodation) with skill and a no-fuss approach allowing the other two to complete the 3 passes.
Simbir's experience and knowledge made him a reliable source of information about the environment, the inhabitants of the areas, the religious practices and our needs along the way.
Simbir is a very experienced guide who showed his care and skill each day and demonstrated his ability to be flexible and forward planning. He knew a lot of other guides we met along the way and he knew the tea house owners.
Even our more experienced Nepal trekkers in the group were pleased and impressed that we had found Simbir.
I’ll be looking for him when I next go to Nepal.

Experienced a once in a life time trek to base camp Everest with Simbir as our go to man. Simbir was our guide leader, who was very experienced in the mountains. He communicates well, enjoys a laugh, but most importantly makes sure your safe. He is all about having a good time, trekking at the groups pace and enjoying the experience. I will not do another trek unless it is with him knowing I can trust he has our best interest. Our trek was before he created this business however knowing now he is the owner I would recommend based on him knowing what it is like from Sherpa through to owner and understands what is important and what it takes to create a fun adventure.

I did the Annapurna base camp trek with Simbir and his team and it was one of the best experiences of my life. The team took such good care of us, was knowledgeable, and so much fun. The trek itself was life changing and I never wanted it to end, but saying goodbye to Simbir and the team was especially hard!! I could not recommend this team more. If I am lucky enough to get to do another similar trek, I would 100% be going with Simbir again!

Opted for the AC w Tilicho Lake package. Simbir was an incredible guide and host. Never failed to keep us entertained, happy yet safe at all times. His energy is contagious and never fails to lift the spirits up.

Best trip I had so far! Incredible views, delicious food and amazing crew! I was worried about doing this trip as a vegan but our guide Simbir always made sure that there was something vegan for me to eat! The whole crew was very fun and helpful and always made sure we were safe. I will definitely miss the hiking and the dance breaks!
