AWFUL, SCAM, DO NOT USE

DO NOT USE. SCAM SITE.

HAS ANYONE AT ALL QUALIFIED THROUGH THIS COMPANY?!

I am currently compiling evidence on behalf of my partner to take to the financial ombudsman in hope that we can regain some of the £7,800 they scammed him out of.

Awful service, DO NOT RECOMMEND

I enrolled with Affinity Construction Training in 2022 on their full electrical pathway course (2365, 2391, NVQ Level 3, AM2, Solar PV and EV charging), costing over £5,500.

I completed half of what I signed up for. Until I was informed that my 36-month period had expired and my portal access had been removed.

I received no reminder or warning that my course access was about to expire.

I was then told that to complete my NVQ I would need to pay an additional £1,900, despite the NVQ being included in the original pathway I paid for. While I accept I went over the timeframe, charging what is effectively a new enrolment fee after already paying over £5,500 feels excessive and unfair.

Communication has been disappointing, and support once enrolled has not matched the expectations set at the point of sale. Their customer support is awful, they don’t even have tutors on the phone who even know what they’re talking about and can’t even give you actual support in order to complete tasks.

My advice to anyone considering enrolling: make absolutely sure you understand the time limits and what happens if you don’t complete within them — and get everything confirmed in writing.

Challenges, Responsibility, and Success

It is true that Act Affinity Construction Training must improve its public relations and administrative efficiency.
The company consistently takes an excessive amount of time to return results for Tutor Marked Assignments (TMAs) and to book practical sessions or Gola examinations.
As a student enrolled in the electrical course, I have personally experienced the inconsistencies and administrative hurdles mentioned in other reviews.
However, it is unfair to place the entire burden of blame on ACT.
Every individual, regardless of the course they choose, enrolls with the understanding that they are investing both their time and financial resources into a venture with inherent risks.
In my view, pursuing such a path requires the patience to see the journey through to completion and the acceptance that the return on investment may not always immediately align with the cost.

In hindsight, many view these courses as a strategic path toward advanced qualifications and higher-paid employment. I respect that as an admirable goal for anyone seeking to improve their quality of life.
I have learned to embrace these challenges by practicing patience and engaging with ACT in a reasonable and professional manner.

After several months of building a relationship based on mutual trust and persistence, I am now a proud holder of an ECS Electrical Worker's card. While this currently requires me to work under supervision, it is a vital first step in my career.

It is clear that ACT is not a "scam".
However, success requires significant effort from the students.
Conversely, I believe it is ACT’s responsibility to maintain more consistent communication with their students via phone or personalized emails.
Effective communication not only increases the probability of student success but, more importantly, solidifies trust while helping to improve customer service and business administration for the company moving forward.

SHITTIEST COMPANY IN THE WORLD

This is the shittiest, most unprofessional, most unreliable, cunning and "just think of worst adjective " company in the whole world. They waste your time and delay you all in a bid to extort money from you, they are just like highway robbers. Avoid them at all cost because everything they tell you is a lie, they tell you you can finish your course under 3 years, that is a lie, they will make sure you don't finish it, took them about 8months to book me in for AM2, then another 5 months to book me in for 2391, every exam booking with them is always full of dramas and delays despite me not owing a dime. And their customer service agent is pompous, rude, very obstinate, talks over you and never helps, she is just a witch nothing else.

Total Scam

Stay away from this company. When I first signed up to study to become an electrician they told me some people finish their course in 3-5 years. I was making good progress but was recently locked out of my account. I called only to find out that you have to finish it within 3 years. I applied for an extension but was rejected, they said I did not meet requirements. They gave me no reason. I had completed 21 out of 36 modules and one practical week, which I passed with flying colours. The way they work in marking assignments means that no one will finish in 3 years. And if, like me, you have another job and family, you’re already pressured for time. I am not giving up and will be doing another course with my local college but I’ve lost money and time. Had I read these reviews beforehand I would have avoided ACT. So disappointing.

DO NOT GO AHEAD WITH THIS COURSE

DO NOT GO AHEAD WITH THIS COURSE.
I had a slimy rat called Luke Clarke come to my home and sell me an amazing course on the basis that there’s no time frame to complete and that it would be weekend based workshops only.
He made out that there were limited spots on the course so I needed to act fast and to explain why I should be accepted. LOL.
I can not believe I fell for it, but they prey on young lads and girls who want a better life for themselves by getting in to a trade.
GO TO A LOCAL COLLEGE IF THIS IS WHAT YOU WANT.
Going through with the course, I started to notice incorrect information with the provided materials. This ranged from words being misspelled and textbook answers being incorrect.
It took them over 5 days to mark a single 10 question exam and you could not move forward until this was marked, slowing you down.
Then when you get to module 13, you have to complete a pre workshop test which is set up so you fail and again waste more time.
There’s around 5 workshops for your level 2 which is absolutely no where near enough to even know what you are doing to move on with level 3.
Then I found out the course is only 3 years and if you take longer than that, YOU HAVE TO PAY MORE MONEY!!!!!
Not what that rat Luke Clarke says but I guess it’s all in the small print.
I didn’t think it could really get any worse but decided to read every bit of small print and found that the weekend only course is level 2. For level 3 you will need to go down to the workshops for over 6 weeks, Monday - Friday. This is completely the opposite to what you are sold as you believe you can do it all on the weekend, hence looking for a flexible course
SCAMMING RATS.
You call customer service and all they do is slap terms and conditions down.
No morals, no dignity and just an outright SCAM.
Iv read 100s of forums and can only see of 1 person to get out of this course debt free with nobody else having any luck.
It’s a clever business package to pray on optimistic people wanting a better life.
And unfortunately there’s only one option, to pay that debt else you could end up in more bother.
SCAMMING RATS

Another £7800 loan trap - 247trainingUK, NewTradesCareer, AffinityConstructionTraining

Caledonian/Scott/Carnegie Consumer Loan Trap

The same £7800 loan trap with the same finance companies. This is a common middle man semi-scam that's been happening for years.

Beware of ACT, 247, NTC, Menage Pantano, Caledonian, Carnegie, Scott. They are in collusion.

They are some how in connection with ERR Ltd who are paying for reviews, open your eyes and read anywhere else about their buisness partners 247trainingUK (NewTradesCareer, AffinityConstructionTraining). It's easy to prove they are all connected.

Look online at their social medias. Do your own research. Stay away for third-party course providers people and warn others.

health & safety test

I’m currently on the electrical course & have reached my first pre-attendance test. It’s a Health & Safety test that gives you minimal chance of passing. I’ve failed it twice now & have to wait a week each time to retry it. You get no indication what areas you have not go right meaning I don’t know what I need to revise. Can anyone help with this?
