This is the second time we've used Liesl Matthews with African Safari Consultants (the first was for planning our honeymoon!). She's amazing at what she does. She digs deep to understand what's important to you in an African vacation, makes excellent recommendations and secures the best accommodations and tours. And as importantly, she's readily available if something comes up during your trip. We recently traveled during the global pandemic. Liesl went out of her way to schedule five COVID-19 tests for us throughout Rwanda, Tanzania and Kenya. And when we had concerns about one of the tests, she jumped in and proactively ensured we were taken care of. Service is top notch. Highly recommend. And we are already starting to think about our next African adventure and we will most definitely use Liesl again.

We've just returned from our 3rd trip to Africa and once again Camille made it one of the best travel experiences we have ever had the pleasure of undertaking !! She immediately picked up on our preferences on our first trip and she has always been spot on with the choice of lodgings and areas of Africa we wanted to explore so that we always got the best exposure to our surroundings !! Her reputation for the details is Well deserved as every connection point from tranfers to flights have always gone off without a hitch. This particular trip also involved a cruise for us which we booked separately and she helped us secure incredible lodgings before we embarked so that we could get over our jet lag and revisit Cape Town for a couple of days.. She also arranged for our large luggage to be stored as we had to convert suitcases to duffel bags for the safaris she booked for us and again when we arrived at the hotel for an overnight before heading home our bags were delivered to our room within 10 minutes of checking in so that we could repack and spend our last hours in Cape Town enjoying a lovely meal and a last South African sunset.. We will never be able to thank her enough for all her hard work and her ability to make our trips so memorable !!!

When I told my friend who recommended Liesl that she had done a great job, his reply was "you know, I've heard that 100 times." She figured out exactly what accommodations and activities would be appropriate for our interests and our budget. She took a personal interest in our trip and was always available for our last-minute questions. We've traveled extensively worldwide and usually don't use an agent, but it this case it was well worth it. I'm pretty sure that it would have cost us more for less had we not used her.

Lise was amazing. She responded quickly and found Safari and accommodation according to our budget. I will recommend her services to friends

Ilze was fantastic, from our very first email correspondence and phone calls, all the way through to our return home. She listened to our requirements for our "bucket list" vacation and definitely delivered in the itinerary and selections that were made for us. We did encounter some issues with one of the hotels (absolutely no fault of African Safari Consultants), but Ilze quickly became our advocate and helped to resolve the situation. Overall the company were extremely professional and attentive. I am sure that we will use them again in the future.

Liesl was the best travel agent I’ve ever worked with ..her choice of properties to stay at really made our trip ..she was very accommodating.. she worked with us on pricing ..she always had other options if something didn’t work for us .. even with a time difference she made herself available to communicate with us during the booking process .. thank you for making our first trip to South Africa a memorable one..we hope to be back soon !!

Ilze planned our honeymoon in December 2019. She did a fantastic job which was way beyond booking transport and accommodation. She provided fantastic recommendations on destinations, hotels, activities and restaurant options. We were well informed about the status of the booking as well as the trip itself.

This was our first time visiting South Africa. Camille took our requests and designed a trip to accomplish all our goals. This is the only trip I can remember where everything went according to plan. The whole trip was outstanding! The accommodations were superb, the food was excellent, the transportation was on time, and the safaris were outstanding. We saw all the big 5 several times and many other animals. This was our best trip to date.

When we were planning our trip for Safari in South Africa, we had no idea where to start and what would be the best experience. We then found Daisy and she was beyond helpful, giving the best options within our budget and took all our wishes into account. Her responses were timely, her enthusiasm fueled ours and we got a great deal on one of the best lodges and experiences. We are so grateful for her help and for all my friends who will be planning safari trips, she will definitely be the person we refer!

I can't say enough good things about Camille. She listened to me - she engaged and responded swiftly and thoroughtly. She curated a very clever program of camps, each of which was perfect in itself - just what we were looking for. The details of the trip, the transfers, the insider tips, the documentation - all of it were stellar. Each day of the trip we sang her praises.

We had the most amazing time! Our adventure started in Uganda for gorilla trekking and then went to Kenya for two different safari locations in the Masi Mara. We couldn't have asked for friendlier service or nicer accommodations. Any need was accommodated and we felt very well taken care of where ever we went. Just returned home from a fantastic trip. All booked and organized by Lise. Having never worked with a travel agent before, we were skeptical, but from the first inquiry that we sent right through to the end, we could not have asked for better service. Lise took the time to understand what we really wanted to experience on the trip and built an itinerary that ticked all the boxes. The recommendations of accommodation and activities were on point, as were the logistics, with transfers booked through every leg. We did not have to think about any of the admin, which made things even better. It is clear Lise and the team know the area and are passionate about what they do. We would recommend them to anyone that asks.

Leisl Matthews worked closely with us to craft our ultimate South African adventure/vacation. She was extremely helpful and patient in customizing our trip as we had a specific itinerary in mind, along with high expectations. I can honestly say that all our expectations were exceeded. My partner and I booked our recent trip to South Africa with Daisy. You will not find a travel agent that cares as much as Daisy or who is as amazingly available. Daisy worked so hard to craft a trip that fit our budget and restrictive travel dates. She managed to put us at the most amazing accommodations for our safaris and in Cape Town, arrange all transports from airports and to/from the lodges and even book the first row of seats on our airplane transfers.
