We had an amazing experience with Lise and everything that she planned for us was seamless and perfect. This was both of our first times in Africa, and we cannot wait to come back! Absolutely great trip planning with great connections. Kudos to Lise for all the advice and helping to setting this up, and staying connected all the way to make our trip a success. We absolutely loved all the places we stayed. We really liked John, our guide in Cape Town. And the connections and timing between all 4 places were absolutely flawless, with someone dropping us off and picking us up between each destination. Taking away trip hassles is a big positive for me. Not one issue. Mid-day connections at check-out and at check-in were perfect. So we were able to enjoy every minute of our trip! We were absorbed totally in our vacation, and left the real/hassle world totally behind for a couple weeks. Cannot say enuf good things.

Daisy was incredible! She was so patient and her suggestions were amazing. I was planning the trip for my boss and her family and they said it was the best trip they have ever taken. We had the most amazing trip through Zimbabwe, Botswana and South Africa and I 100% attribute our experience to our travel agent, Ilze. We had an idea of what we wanted to do, but not only did Ilze point us toward the logical choices and give us direction on how to plan our trip, but she also made it happen. I can’t imagine planning a trip like this without a trusted advisor, and we are so thankful that Ilze planned everything out for us and made for a smooth trip.

Our Safari was a once in a lifetime experience and every aspect of it was perfect! We had a serious time limitation to work with and Daisy made sure that we were able to fit in the best experience possible, and boy did she deliver! I cannot thank her enough for taking such good care of us.

My family and I had the best experience with Ilze in planning our South African vacation! I had previously lived in South Africa but needed help creating an itinerary that included all the places I wanted to show my family. Ilze exceeded all expectations from her suggestions for the absolute best accommodations to making last minute changes to our trip. Liesl designed the perfect trip for me. She listened to me, stayed within my budget, returned calls almost instantly. She is caring & knowledgeable.

We had a fantastic trip to three game parks in Kenya, Amboseli, Ol Pejeta Conservancy and Masai Mara, organized by African Safari Consultants. It was well planned from start to end.
Our consultant Ilze was knowledgeable and professional. Once she knew what kind of experience we wanted out of this vacation, she suggested a few options with different park choices. Considering our time limitation, she had suggested to travel between the parks, partially by air to save the travel time and some distance by road, to get the feel of the country. Today we feel that was a truly valuable suggestion. She answered all our questions and concerns in a timely manner. During the last leg of our trip, I had emailed her for an issue we were having at the front desk of that camp. She resolved it immediately and emailed me back.
However, I have one suggestion. On the last day, per our itinerary, we reached Nairobi around noon and our flight back home was at 1140 in the night. It would have been excellent if she had suggested us to have rest in a day room at an extra cost. Spending the whole day was a challenge.

I will rate the services provided by her for our trip as “Excellent” and based on my experience with her I will surely use this company again.

Liesl and African Safari Consultants are awesome. I cannot recommend them enough. We spent two and a half weeks travelling to South Africa, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Botswana, Kenya, Tanzania, and Rwanda. We anticipated issues with that much movement. There was not one hiccup. Everything was perfectly planned and executed. The trip - thanks to African Safari Consultants - far exceeded our wildest expectations. I won't use anyone else the next time I go back to Africa.

Camille put together a fantastic trip for us. Everything was very well organised and ran very smoothly, from the airport pickups to the accommodation and activities. Anytime I had a query Camille was quick to reply with advice. I would very happily recommend anyone to use Camille to organise their holiday.

Camille was great to work with in planning our honeymoon in Africa. We had done a lot of research on which countries we wanted to visit but didn't know much about the various safari camps and national parks. Camille recommended using Elewana properties which had camps in Kenya and Tanzania as well as Zanzibar, all the countries we wanted to go to. And Elewana was fantastic.

Camille was also great about answering all of my questions, of which there were many, in the lead up to our trip. These included questions on packing, tipping, travel, etc.

I was turned onto Africa Safari Consultants LLC by a friend who was really pleased with them and I have to say, they were amazing. Since we were first timers to South Africa, they crafted a great itinerary that fit within our budget and time table. Every detail was thought of and taken care of: from pick up from the airports, to dropping off the car to excellent choices in guest houses and lodges, everything was wonderful. I will certainly use them again and recommend their services to friends and family!

We are back in the USA literally less than 24 hours since our first-ever trip to Africa (South Africa, Zimbabwe, Botswana) at the ages of 71 and 69, and we cannot wait to return -- to which I give enormous credit to Liesl Matthews at AFS. We have traveled abroad quite a bit and have always planned our trips without professional assistance. Despite that, I knew I couldn't do this one myself, and I "interviewed" 2 other planners before finding Liesl, who immediately felt like a kindred spirit to me. "Trip of a lifetime" is an overused phrase, but I have no other words to describe our experience. I will unhesitatingly use Liesl if and when we have another opportunity to visit that amazing, defiantly memorable continent.
