Misleading Service, No Refund for Undelivered Event
I tried After5 three times, hoping for a way to meet new people. The first time was fine, but the second was a disappointment and I gave it a last chance, which I should not have.
For King’s Day, I booked an event expecting a hassle-free experience, only to receive an email 24 hours before saying the location was up to the group to decide. This was not in the event description, and by then, it was too late to cancel for a refund.
I was the first to message the group, but without the platform’s support, the meetup never happened. After5 claims they “connect women” but provided no structure, no location, and no event. When I requested a refund, they refused, citing their terms, despite the service not being delivered as promised.
If you want to plan your own meetups, save your money. After5 did not provide the service I paid for, and their refusal to refund is unacceptable. Avoid if you expect reliability.

Thanks for the review. To clear up the main point: King's Day is one of our member-organized events. The group picks the location and coordinates the meetup itself — that's the format, and it's stated at booking, not something added in the email the day before. That email simply sent the group their details so they could plan.
For the record, the group did meet up that day and enjoyed King's Day together — the event happened as intended. You messaged first, which was the right move, and we're sorry it didn't end up working for you personally.
Because the event ran exactly as described, it sits outside our refund policy. If you'd like to try a hosted event with a set location, message us and we'll point you to one.
