Damaged on delivery

I purchased a sectional with power an charging plugs. When they delivered an assembled it the plug feature was broken they warranty people sent replacement parts but they want me to pay for the repair person to come out. Also I've been waiting for 5 was for the end table to be delivered.

Waddell Store Manager

We talked with the Store Manager at the Waddell Location back in January while looking for furniture for our new home about renting part of the parking lot and he straight up lied to our faces saying you never rent or let anyone use you lot due to liability reasons. today we find out there is a new farmers market going in at that location. That is just rude and I will not be purchasing my furniture from American Furniture warehouse. I do not do business with deceitful people. He could have told us the truth.

While shopping at the Colorado Springs…

While shopping at the Colorado Springs store, we saw jake come in and walk his whole store. Seeing the owner who cares on how everything is looking tells me how much this is the type of store I want to buy from.

Over the past 13 years

Over the past 13 years, I have been a loyal customer of this store, purchasing the majority of my furniture from them. Throughout my interactions, I consistently encountered a gentleman named 🙏ELIAS🙏, who demonstrated exceptional helpfulness and understanding. He was always willing to provide guidance whenever we sought it. Notably, he exhibited remarkable patience, even as we made multiple changes to our furniture selections. I purchased a dining set and a living room set from him, and my daughter subsequently acquired a dining set, a fireplace, rugs, and numerous other essential items for her new residence. I wholeheartedly commend this individual for his cooperation and assistance.

Worthless

Purchased 2 reclining chairs in less than 9 months seat cushion on both chairs broke down, 1 on the right side and the 2nd on the left. Had a tech come out and he said it was due to use. he took 1 picture, didn't sit in either chair or didn't attempt to diagnose the problem. he said that it was made in China and is disposable furniture. Customer service wanted to charge us $358 to repair the chairs. I would not recommend AFW to anybody!

BUYER BEWARE AT AFW!

Don't do it! We purchased a leather couch and recliner as well as other items. Within a few months the leather was all stretched out on the lower part of the couch when not reclined. Two AFW technicians came out and said, "Do not buy leather from AFW or Ashley Furniture. This always happens." Apparently the 'pillow top' feature and their cheap leather are inferior and will fail, but not within their 30 day warranty period. I attempted to get a prorated refund to purchase something other than leather without any luck. We are still paying on junk furniture from AFW.

American furniture is Shit.

I bought an outside furniture set a little over a year ago. It's already falling apart. I sat on it about 4 times. Shit products and shit service.

I bought a bed from the Glendale

I bought a bed from the Glendale, Arizona location. The rail had a knot and it broke in half. I paid for the service to fix my rails. They first lost my rails, when I had an appointment, got cancelled, then rescheduled, they came to add the rails to my bed and they cracked my headboard on the upper left top pulling it out behind my dresser. One guy put my bed together when it takes two guys because it’s a heavy bed. The bolts are stripped, headboard cracked. The tech guy scratch my wall, cracked my headboard, I was trying to get out of my driveway and his truck was in the way to get him two more bolts from Ace Hardware. He left unfinished work when I paid for this services. His supervisor was in the truck upset because he was slow, maybe he should have helped him. When it takes two guys. Now AFW giving me grief, telling me it’s not unwarranty when they damaged my headboard, bed is lazy due to one man installing, walls damaged, my underground garbage bin is damaged trying to get out. This is uncalled and poor customer service. You can’t speak to a manager because they don’t have one your dealing with a call center unfamiliar with terminology. They want me to pick up my mattress and take a picture of the stripped bolts and everything else. I have taken numerous of photos. And the are playing games

Alberto Vasquez was the salesperson who…

Alberto Vasquez was the salesperson who made things great for us.We were apprached by 2 others in the store that just wanted to give us their name for commission purposes- neither of those 2 wanted to listen to what we were looking for , or to walk the flooor with us.
Aleberto listened, walked with us and helped us with our purchase within 15 to 20 minutes - he answered all of our questions and was super professional - he made our purchase ez ( we spent just over 2K)

Hell at customer pickup Glendale, AZ

I purchased a sofa with Dina on 99th and Bethany sales went smooth. Next day I go to pick it up and this lady name Bonnie who was not assisting me had the nerve to come over to lady that was and ask for the card I used to pay. Keep in mind the person helping me had the paid receipt and my id already. No need to see my card it was already paid. This pissed me off and makes me not want to purchase again. Bonnie has a smart mouth and nasty attitude she is a miserable person. True Karen she hate her life and makes everyone around her miserable. Bonnie that’s in customer pickup is a miserable old B#%*h that needs to jump off a bridge and kill herself.

They don't stand behind the furniture…

They don't stand behind the furniture they sale. There is often extended warrantees that they won't look for even when you ask them to. I am told it isn't their responsibility to look for this. Then who's would it be. The people in the Grand Junction store is the worst of them all. I had to call corporate office to have them make it right. This isn't something you should have to do as a paying customer.

Worst furniture shopping experience I ever had

I went to pick up furniture that had already paid for in Katy they told me that it was in Webster so I drove all the way to Webster with my trailer when I got there they said the furniture was in Katy no one knew what was going on there's no accountability on knowing where their merchandise is and so I just wasted half a tank of gas 3 hours of my life I'll never get back and I was not offered any kind of reparations or apologies for this monumental waste of my time I will never use this store again for furniture and I recommend nobody else does either

Twin Bedroom Set

I purchased a twin size frame, mattress, and box spring from AHF on 12/19/25 explaining my son would need this new bed before Christmas Eve. They assured me it would be delivered either 12/22 or 12/23. They called 12/23 stating "a full size got delivered, is that fine to deliver?" I explained that I ordered a twin for a reason and I would like a refund today. He stated they could order the correct item and that would take an additional week, a refund would also take a week. The salesman I did business with on 12/19 was the same person that called me and admitted he ordered the size frame.
I will now be out the hundreds that I paid for the bedroom set for at least 10 days due to the upcoming holidays because the company made a mistake, and never once offered an apology.

We bought love seat and couch power…

We bought love seat and couch power recliners. Paid almost 2,000 and less than 1 month past the “warranty” period of 1 year and 2 of 4 recliners stopped working. Thought it was too good to be true on the pricing and their warranty department is no help.

Wish I had something good to say

Wish I had something good to say. Colorado Steve was great!!! That’s where it stopped!! Second time bad experience after the sales, delivery, a joke!! Tried to call Customer service, 40 minutes on hold to get someone to tell you it is best you come down to the store.. good luck, again the prices are good, Colorado Steve great, but that’s it!!!

AFW has slid down hill trying to…

AFW has slid down hill trying to compete with the online merchants. We purchased livingroom furniture to be delivered and paid the extra fees for a guaranteed time, 3 hours past the guaranteed timeaand still no delivery. We have no missed a suprise train ride with our grandson. Save your frustration, pay a little more for something and avoid AFW at all cost

went two American Furniture with my mom 86 years old that live on a budget was taken advantage of at Thornton store felt like she was she was charge a restocking fee and a delivery fee twice. couch she really wanted movers did not even attempt to put the couch into her apartment and was charged a restocking fee of 15%.was told that the movers are very professional they are very un-professional salesperson (Mark)was very rude with did not try to help her at all.mom did not get the couch that she wanted was charged extra and for a smaller couch paid about the same amount.I don't think it's right for them to take advantage of little old ladies that live on a budget mom has swelling on her legs and has to keep her legs up for ath swelling down she dose not fit on the couch they brought. shame on you American Furniture take an advantage of old ladies you ought to be ashamed of yourselves

Terrible

Terrible. Classic bait and switch tactics. I have been renting a small stackable since 2015 for $30 a month which was too much as it was. I moved to auto pay and they tried to charge my card almost $70! I guess they thought they I wouldn't notice. When I called and asked why they didn't notify of the x2 price hike, they did not have a response. They claimed it was due to "inflation". I cancelled my service and bought the same model brand new for $550. Problem solved.
