I highly recommend the Favola EVO+Lemon Tour! I learned so much about olive trees, olive oil (including proper way to taste and the various types) plus as a bonus all about lemons. Most impressive aspect was the owner and her knowledge and hospitality. Very impressive that she left New York, and perhaps fame and fortune, to return to her roots in Sicily. Promoting eco-tourism, retaining some of the farming traditions from her father, developing new ones, true to the past but adapting to the future. Put all that to music and you might just have the perfect, poignant and modern Italian Opera.

Short term booking was with no problem and the day after our request for an English tour we visited the mill. Just the two of us, we were warmly welcomed and got a lot of interesting information about extra vergine olive oil and the process of manufacturing. We also booked the visit of the lemon trees which we did not regret. We could ask all our questions and never had the feeling that we run out of time. At the end we had a delicious tasting of their different extra vergine oils with homemade traditional bread, olives, cheese, jam, …. We appreciated the opportunity to look behind the curtain of manufacturing extra vergine olive oil and get all the information absolut its varieties! Recommendable for every consumer of olive oil! The team of the farm has arranged us a wonderful time to remember! We were well taken care of!!

Fantastic tour. The olive oils were delicious, and the guide was knowledgeable and helpful. She spoke excellent English. The lemon grove was surprisingly interesting as well - the smell of the lemon leaves was so strong!

If you're traveling between Catania and Syracuse, I highly recommend this stop.
