I books with Ahram travels last year but due to 1 family member passing away weren’t able to travel. I advised Ahram travel of this and provided all the relevant documents to prove this and requested a refund. They advised me are only able to provide a certain amount of refund which o was fine with. It has been a year now I still haven’t received the refund I ring them email them text them they blank my call don’t respond back to me. I would never book with them and I will be taking legal action now can anyone suggest what I can do to get this refund back as it over £2000

Alhamdulillah, I’ve just returned from my Umrah trip, and it truly was an amazing and spiritually uplifting experience.

A big thank you to Ahram Tours for making the journey relatively smooth overall. Although there was a slight hiccup along the way, I genuinely enjoyed my blessed trip to Makkah and Madinah Sharif. Throughout the booking process, I was assisted by Mohammed Zohaib, who was helpful and responsive.

That said, I do want to highlight a few points for future travellers. When booking, I was informed that payments could be made in instalments up until a month before departure. However, I was later asked to clear the balance almost two and a half months before the trip, giving me a total of around four months to pay off the package. This initially made me a little skeptical, but I placed my trust in Allah and went ahead — Alhamdulillah, everything worked out in the end.

The only real issue I faced was during the transfer from Makkah to Madinah. Neither I nor the transfer company were informed about a hotel change, and upon arrival, the hotel we were originally booked into had no record of our reservation. When I contacted Ahram Tours, I was told that the hotel had been upgraded, but unfortunately, no one had communicated this to me. The person handling my booking was on annual leave at the time. While the new hotel was conveniently located near the Haram, it was not up to the 5-star standard I was promised — in reality, it was closer to a 3-star hotel.

Aside from that, I was very pleased with how quickly my visa was processed — it only took a few hours. The team also offered me options for upgrades in Makkah, which I chose to take. In terms of pricing, I believe Ahram Tours offers very competitive rates that would be hard to match elsewhere.

As I’ve just returned from the House of Allah, I feel it’s important to be honest and transparent in my feedback. If I were to rate the company, I would give them a 7.5/10 — mainly due to the lack of communication throughout the process. Despite this, I would still consider booking with them again in the future, provided there is greater clarity and consistent communication without me having to follow up so often (which I had to do frequently over the seven months of planning).

We had an incredible experience booking our Umrah holiday through Ahram travels. From start to finish, everything was perfectly organised; the hotel, the ride from Jeddah to Makkah and Makkah to madinah as well as the constant check in ensuring our experience was perfect. The staff and drivers were extremely polite and were always in touch in case we needed anything and the hotel experience was absolutely amazing.
