Airthrill Falkirk Party - Beware!
My son had a party in July at Airthrill Falkirk. I paid for 10 children in full when booking the party online. I was called by Airthrill Falkirk a few days before and advised I'd invited 12. I was told I should pay for the other 2 in advance. I did this and paid for 12 kids in advance.
On the morning of the party I had 2 cancellations due to sickness.
When i got to Airthrill early i advised of this and they said they checked with there manager and there was nothing they could do. There terms and conditions say you need to give them 5 days notice. I asked to speak to the manager and he said he couldn't do anything but to contact customer services. I have also done this and been told they couldn't do anything, its in there 5 days terms and conditions policy and since haven't replied to my last e-mail when I asked for to escalate this further. How can I give 5 days notice for another child being sick?
I was charged £50 for the 2extra kids places which included the 2 extra sweet bags and given no option for any type of refund even though the children weren't there!
I've had many a kids party and I appreciate you pay for the minium to book which was 10 but anything over that its been who attends and no company has ever made me pay for parent's sick kids that you obviously wouldn't want at the venue.
Please beware when booking a party at Airthrill Falkirk as this feels like they are ripping people off.
On another note. I gave alot of detail regarding 1 child's allergies and I was told the chicken nuggets would be fine and I told the child's mother this. The child with the allergies mother asked more details on the day and again was told it was fine. The childs mother felt unsure and again asked for the ingredients to be checked to finally find out her son couldn't eat the chicken nuggets as previously advertised!
Warning to Muslim & Vegetarian Families: Serious Food Safety Breach & Terrible Service
Warning to Muslim & Vegetarian Families: Serious Food Safety Breach & Terrible Service
I am beyond disappointed and shocked by our experience at Airthrill East Kilbride today. I visited with my 7-year-old daughter and two other mums, and what was supposed to be a fun day ended in genuine distress and "trauma" for our children.
The Incident:
Our group consists of both Muslim and Vegetarian families. We were extremely careful at the till—we pointed to the menu and reiterated multiple times that we needed 4 Halal/Vegetarian hot dogs. Despite these clear instructions, the staff served the children pork hot dogs. We only realized the mistake after the kids had already started eating.
The Service:
The way the staff handled this was abysmal.
* A customer service rep initially refused to speak to us, claiming "food ordering time was closed."
* When a manager finally arrived, she showed a complete lack of training, suggesting it was our fault for not specifying "allergies." We had to explain that Halal and Vegetarianism are fundamental dietary requirements, not allergies.
* They showed zero empathy for the religious and ethical breach they caused, simply telling us to "send an email."
The Impact:
While they eventually refunded the food, it doesn't compensate for the ruined experience. My 7-year-old daughter is now distraught, complaining of stomach pain, and says she never wants to step foot in this place again.
Verdict:
The staff here are poorly trained, have no idea how to talk to the public, and clearly do not take food requirements seriously. If you have specific dietary or religious requirements, do not trust this venue. I will be reporting this to the Food Standards Agency. Avoid at all costs.
BE WARNED
BE WARNED - even when the staff tell you that they need your number plate so that you wont get a fine in the car park if you stay beyond 2 hours, you will get a fine. We are facing a £60 fine because we stayed over 2 hours, although we were told via email. booking form and in person that as hosts we were allowed to stay longer. We even have an email from the manager saying we were on their system and wouldn't get a fine - ALL made up, there is no system, you just park up and go into the shops and then get a fine if you over stay! STAFF NEED TRAINING AS THEY CANT BE TELLING PEOPLE THIS. Turned out to be a very expensive party
No parking!
No parking!! Car park rammed out and no staff outside dealing with, Place is just off a busy main route. Had to park at over a mile from premises. Steer clear
Jan is a great member of staff
Staff member called Jan was fantastic helped a lot with safety and catering ect is a brilliant staff member and definitely deserves praise
Never again
Never again!
We went with my work, kids with additional support needs. All the staff went so rude, told us we couldn’t bounce with our kids, some of which our kids are non verbal and require support walking. Every staff member was new this summer and clearly didn’t care about a nice experience and more about covering their own backs. I’m all for heath and safety but they made it difficult to enjoy anything, complete job worths with no communication between staff. I got told many different rules that contradicted each other.
Male member of staff that took our safety video was very nice and looked for ways to help us
Idk why man is was bad
Told to “F off” when STAFF where breaking rules
Me and me 3 kids where at the place and worker told me to F off.
I was on the balcony in airthrill falkirk eating the VERY BAD food. My kids were jumping and doing flips and I saw a STAFF MEMBER ON HER PHONE walk infront of him. As a kid you can’t see anything doing a backflip untill you end it. The worker had been walking on the middle of the trampolines and they collided. That’s not even all because I watched my two other kids in disbelief and the worker started shouting at the kids because her phone was knocked into the trampoline. I came down and was told that I want allowed to go donw and then I pointed at my child. And was alowed to see if they were ok. NOT EVEN 5 MINUTES LATER A TEENAGER TRIES BEATING UP MY KID I come down and ran over to see what was going on and turns out that because my kids never said sorry for doing nothing (I WATCHED THEM THE ENTIRE TIME) we where getting kicked out. I told them there personnel was untrained and we would take legal action for them not kicking the teenager out for not following the safety guidelines and she kept making up bad excuses and then I said that in the saftey brief it says look where your going and that she never followed that either that she told me to F off.
Terrible experience
Terrible experience *Falkirk*
Attended today with my three kids 2 of which are under 5. Staff are rude and unhelpful with zero people skills. All in was nearly £75 for 1 hour play. A member of staff approached us and advised we get off the trampolines until we purchased the air thrill socks (we were not told at the reception we had to have them we had sky high ones). This is extremely over priced especially for kids under 5 years of age.
CHILD WITH DOWNS SYNDROME ASKED TO LEAVE
My daughter attended falkirk airthrill yesterday with her friend who has downs syndrome. They were allowed to enter, watch the safety video and make their way to the trampolines before being asked to leave because her friend has downs syndrome. This is DISCRIMINATION of the highest level and it has left a family and my daughter very upset. This child had her birthday party here a few years go and has now been refused access. Both her parents were with her and she has her own trampoline at home. I'm disgusted by this and we certainly won't be returning.
Child with down syndrome not allowed without drs letter!!!!
Called to make a booking for a party of 11 for additional needs time.. Explained my son has down syndrome and told he cant go without a drs letter!!!! Yet been allowed in few weeks prior!! ASN time yet hes excluded... Im his mum and know his abilities and keep him safe etc dont need no drs letter!!! Wont ever be back. Disgusting!!!
Birthday party
Had our daughters birthday party at the catford site, smoothly ran our host was lovely and very helpful (I’m sorry didn’t catch your name, but we were in room 2 at 12:00). Lost one of the wristbands and the staff were helpful and gave us another one. All the parents in our group were great and had the waivers done ahead of time so the kids got the full time allocated to play. Yes the announcements were loud but I do think they need to be!
4 star rather than 5 as some room for improvement on following points:
Only 35 mins in the party room, I feel this should be at least 45, by the time you have the kids settled and eating, not enough time to do the cake, we did this right at the end and ended up putting squashed cake into the party bags! We were told no more than 10 parents, however the room was large enough to accommodate more than this, finally the cafe closed before we could buy some of the parents teas and coffees ( I think it reopened later on).
Overall I was impressed and would consider booking for another party.
Don’t go if anyone in your party has mobility problems
I collected my granddaughter from a party at this site. I also have a wheelchair using grandson. This place is a nightmare if you have mobility issues. The car park is rammed with cars searching for spaces and the disabled spaces full every time I visit. There is a lift -it was broken. Crowds of children. No way to access the building without huge stress with a disabled sibling or relative .
They don’t care about Data Safety…
My kid was invited to a party where the host asked for her DOB because Airthill asked for it. They clearly have no care for data safety of kids if they expect parents to give their kids details to people we hardly know. If they require this from patrons they should safe mechanisms in place to collect it. Haven’t been but already have a really poor impression of them.
The staff at AirThrill Catford are…
The staff at AirThrill Catford are charmless, rude and at times aggressive. It’s in a hideous location so drop off and pick up is a nightmare.

Was a bit sceptical about going after reading a lot of negative reviews. We went with an open mind. Well I couldn’t have been more surprised. On entering the premises was pleasantly surprised to see it was spotlessly clean floors and tables. A bit dark but once accustomed to the lighting it was fine. The lady who I assumed was in charge, on the desk , was very pleasant and chatty. The children (12 years old) had a lovely 75 minutes of fun and endless slushies. We sat just opposite the reception with our coffees which were nice and hot. Paid attention to what was going on round about after reading negative reviews and must say this lady was very helpful to everybody who came to the desk and clearly advising of what to do and how to keep all children safe whilst enjoying their visit. The cafe area was spotless and food looked fresh. All around was clean and staff cleaned the tables as soon as they were vacated . Was impressed as the juice from the slushies was sticky and cleaned up immediately the customers had left. Couldn’t fault our visit and I would say to anyone going to ignore the negative comments. Yes it’s a children’s play area and I expect it could get a bit messy at busy times but overall good experience. Plenty of hand sanitiser around if you felt it necessary to prevent spread of germs etc. Would not hesitate to visit here again.
I would not even given them a star
I would not even given them a star. Place is not looked after, broken inflatable hurting multiple children. Parents not allowed in - can not exactly assess kids injury. No access to CCTV.
Ridiculousness
Catford air thrill needs to close down and rethink the idea.
We attended today for a birthday when you walk in and it looks dark and dingy. Out of service/leaking slush machines which obviously are not serviced regularly.
Rude lazy staff who are just there to get paid considering they are working around children attitude adjustments urgently required.
The best thing I heard was they needed to deep clean before next session that place has never been deep cleaned or even cleaned if it does get wipe down they use water only.
Between air thrill and flipout I'm not sure what's worse
Always hiring these young bucks is not working they are only there to get paid with very little to no work being done.
Not impressed at all!!!
Took my two boys to the Perth Airthrills today. No sort of organised queue system at the reception desk. My two boys were bouncing and having fun & decided to rest for a bit, out of the way on a section, staff were rude and told them that they werent allowed to be sitting there. My oldest took the staff member by surprise and challenged them, asking where does it say that. The teenage miserable looking member of staff then threatened them by saying “well im going to get the manager”. My oldest, again then politely replied, well if you have an issue,go and speak to our dad. And guess what, they didnt come and speak to me. Would rather feel big by challenging kids and threatening them with getting the manager. What made matters worse, 5 mins later there was other kids doing the same thing and werent asked to move. It upset my youngest, who then spent the next 20 mins worrying that they were going to get kicked out!!! I think the staff need to remember that they are dealing with kids and maybe some more training should be supplied for this certain male member of staff or dare i say, he is in the wrong job. I also gave him the chance to come and have a word with me, couldnt even look me in the eye. Hope he feels proud of himself!!
Went to the one in East Kilbride
Went to the one in East Kilbride, was busy at reception but the day was great and the kids loved it.
