Very knowledgeable people. It was an easy process. Very professional.

AVA helped me throughout the entire process. I was informed from the initial contact what was required regarding paperwork and if my mother qualified. My case manager made sure I submitted the correct paperwork and that all the documents were signed in the correct places. I was instructed where to mail the final signed documents to the VA. I was kept informed regarding the status of my mother's application as it was being reviewed by the VA. American Veterans Aid was accurate about the time estimate I would receive payment which was in 4 months. It is because of AVA that my mother can use this benefit due to my father's service. It has been helpful in the cost of my mother having to live in a memory care group home.

All we had to do was follow instructions as to what documents were required to complete applications.
On March 1st we were advised to file an "Intent to file" form, which Amvets provided, in order to expedite claim and lock in retroactive payment date, because my sister met certain eligibility requirements. This was filed on April 1st. During the next month, we worked closely with Amvets, giving them all the information needed, (discharge papers, marriage license, death certificate, social security award letter, etc.). They prepared the application, we double checked it, our application was filed in early May and payment for April thru July was received in early August.

Everyone was friendly and very thorough in explaining what I needed to do. Feedback was timely and informative so that I got all of the documents in.

Every person we worked with to get my dad approved for help with Aid and Attendance benefits was so nice and helpful. Every question I asked was answered quickly. The benefits came right on time too, just as promised.

This is a predatory company. Sure they may help you fill out forms, same thing a VSO does for free. They charge over $2000 to "help" you get what you deserve. Then tell you how they have an inside loop to get it done quicker.

You all did a great job of getting my mother the aid that she not only needs but deserves. My only complaint is the communication is lacking a bit. Maybe setting more realistic timelines for the VA review process.

I began the process of application for my 98 year old WWII veteran father in very early January 2024. He has been in an assisted living facility for the past five years in New Jersey, which is extremely expensive. I was skeptical regarding the upfront fee, but once I began the process of collecting and submitting backup documentation, our case manager, Marcella, and the documentation coordinator, Anthony, certainly kept the project moving forward. They were always kind and helpful. The application was submitted in early March 2024, my father just received his initial deposit of three months of pension payments. If this is how the process goes for everyone, it is certainly worth the initial expense.

Long story short. Started working with AVA in August of 2023 to help my 90 year old Mother in Law get financial help. At first AVA was good to work with but by October I had been switched around to several of their reps. I had all the info they needed at hand so the application should have been submitted in September. I finally received the completed application from them in early January 2024. I’m assuming someone forgot existed. Finally got approved in May for a lesser amount so now I must handle on my own to get the correct amount of funding she deserves.

There was a significant cost for your service, and our DIL did the majority of assistance for us. It took from August to April

American Veterans Aid really helped me with getting the assistance I needed to get help with my finances so I can pay my living expenses. The paper work from the VA can be very cumbersome, but American Veterans Aid knew exactly what forms to fill out and helped me find the information I needed (for example, my husbands discharge papers from WW2). Also, everyone was so kind and knowledgeable. Special thanks to Lucy who lead me along the way.

I found AVA to be very helpful. They walked me through everything and followed up often to keep me on track. It was well worth the money spent because if I had tried to file on my own I would probably be hiring a lawyer by now. There’s so much to it, but they made it fairly easy to navigate.
I have recommended them to several people.
