Shreepali at Amicable handled our divorce (consent order writing). Shreepali is compassionate and caring, she explained each step clearly and guided us through all the stages with kindness. She responded to emails and phonecalls in good time and was always happy to go over things or answer questions a second time until the process was clear. Shreepali took a lot of stress out of a stressful situation by handling the legal process and translating it into laymans terms, whilst ensuring everything was done in a timely manner. I am extremely grateful to her for making an unpleasant process less difficult.

Divorce is not an easy thing to go through but it is much easier if you can do it amicably, especially when you have children together. Dan Martinez was a steady hand and showed great empathy towards us both. There is no 'perfect' outcome in these situations and Dan managed to remain understanding yet neutral in our negotiations while making sure the process continued to move forward.

Emma Bennett was our Amicable representative. She was very supportive and was always there to help us. She put no pressure on us but helped us to make informed decisions. It was a fixed fee but she stayed with us even when the consent order was refused by the judge the first time and supported us through it till it was all agreed. I would definitely recommend Amicable.

My experience with amicable was excellent in most respects. The website is clearly laid out and easy to use. Amicable took care of all the paperwork and the submissions of documents to the court. It would otherwise have been very difficult. The non-adversarial approach was of great importance to me and my ex-wife because we wished the process to be as non-confrontational as possible. The name of the company ‘Amicable’ is a good indication of the approach used.


My only criticism concerns timing. It was an unfortunate coincidence that the date on which it was possible to apply for the final order fell on my ex-wife’s birthday. We both stressed the importance of avoiding a communication on her birthday but it happened anyway. This marred what would otherwise have been an impeccable service. If this is the result of inflexible software the system should be modified.

After raising 5 children and sharing 45 years of marriage, thanks to amicable, we’re looking forward to a bright future living separately.
