Ample Sound Guitar VSTs are massively…
Ample Sound Guitar VSTs are massively overrated. Most of the guitars sound nearly identical — lifeless, artificial, and nowhere near convincing in a real mix. The marketing makes them sound revolutionary, but once you actually use them, it’s the same stale tone across every library.
And the “VST3 scalable UI” claim? Completely false. The interface scaling is awful and barely works properly on modern displays. Feels outdated by at least 10 years.
The authorization system is even worse. Want to activate a new device? Apparently you have to wait SIX MONTHS. That’s absurd in 2026. I’ve seen freeware plugins with more reasonable licensing systems.
Customer support is nonexistent too. I sent an email asking for help LAST YEAR and never got a single reply. Not even an automated response. They’ll happily take your money, though.
Meanwhile, plugins like Odin 3 show what actual professional development looks like: responsive devs, modern workflow, and products that don’t feel abandoned.
Honestly, Ample Sound needs to spend less time selling new guitar packs and more time fixing their software, licensing, and support.
