I Was told that I wasn't allowed to access.

Firstly, I would say that I was a little sceptical about using ancestry.ca to find answers on my Dad. However, at Christmas my children gave me the DNA test as a present. l agreed that we all should know our true ancestors. The results arrived in about 4 weeks and to my surprise the DNA matches opened up a whole new world for me and my family. Unfortunately, my biological father had recently passed away. However, this ancestral data has enabled me to connect with my father's family in ways that I could never have imagined. Both sides of my family are thrilled with the chance to finally get to know each other after more than 60 years of misinformation. I can truly say that thanks to this special Christmas gift from my children and Ancestry.ca, I have a gift that will keep on giving long after I am gone. Thank you so much for helping me to discover my Dad and his family.

The results came fast and I was interested in the report about my family history.

It is so confusing. Can't find any relatives that were born in Italy - only relatives are the ones i inserted I could not find my information on when i travelled from Italy to canada, name of the ship, date....All the information popping up are from USA

My account was auto-renewed and I called for a refund. The person who took the call wasn't permitted to provide the refund I was requesting. I just got my statement that my credit card had been billed. The time had passed when a refund would have been allowed. Her supervisor wouldn't allow the refund. I don't use Ancestry, in fact, I'm sure I called last year to cancel and the same thing happened. I am retired and am barely surviving on the income I have. I don't subscribe to any TV, Netflix or anything like that, I have internet, cell phone and that's it. I had to give up my security system for my house. My income is 21,000 for the year. I have a mortgage, a car loan, insurance on both, I can' afford this unnecessary item. This is not the worker's fault that she wasn't able to provide me a refund as requested. It's the policy of Ancestry - I don't want this anymore. I can't afford it. I have all the documentation that I uploaded to their site online If the family needs it for themselves, they are welcome to it But I don't need this site. I'm disappointed in the rules of their customer service refunds, Ancestry.ca, and don't blame the workers for this review. I don't check my emails, I am no longer working. Ancestry has over 86 emails in my inbox..... how am i supposed to know which ones to check? I was charged on Feb 23rd and called for a refund on March 4th... 10 days and customer service wasn't permitted to give me my money back. That's why I'm putting this on Trust Pilot.

Easy to understand and to take the test. In my case there were no shipping address to send it back. Other than that was kept in the loop while the processing very satisfied

Received the DNA kit as a christmas gift.
The trial period for the ancestory site was connected to the purchasers number so was unable to access it.
Activated the 14 day trial period and searched a few ancestry locations. Did not receive the DNA results before having to cancel out on the free trial period.
Dont feel that we benefitted much from this Ancestory DNA kit.

Disappointing. After all the hype, it told me nothing I did not know regarding my basic ancestry and then worked hard to suck me into paying for membership to find out the details.

I know for a fact that I am of Indigenous decent of a long line from Quebec Canada yet my DNA mentions that my “lineage” is European. How can that be? I am very disappointed in this “discovery” that I know is not correct.

It's still the early stages but was discouraged that I didn't find any immediate family on my father's side which is why I did this. There's so much I don't know about my father's history but the journey I guess has just begun.

Just to be able to connect with family members

It was very satisfying, except I wish maiden names were also given.
Women dissappear because of maiden name lost.
Amazing how they can extract parent 1 and 2.

Very cool to see what regions of the world you're from

I was getting regular updates on my sample and they just suddenly stopped. My husband, who sent his sample in at the same time, got his results weeks before me. I complained and got an email the next day saying my sample was being analyzed. The day after that, I received the results. I think I was forgotten until I sent in my complaint. My maiden name is Spanish but there was no Spanish in my results. So I don’t know if this is a good company or not.

EXTREMELY dissapointed in having paid extra for genetics only to find it's silly traits and not health risks, these feels fraudulent, I would never have paid extra to find out stupid things like if my fingers are longer than average, give me a break!

I had joined as I had wanted to locate my biological family. I was adopted at birth and only have the name of my mother and nothing else.other than my given name. I have been unable to get any information.

Seriously waste of time and money..all responses

I sent my sample in and then it took a week to arrive at its destination. Then it took another 4 weeks before the sample was actually processed and ready. I've had a week to look into the results, and all of a sudden I have to pay to renew. Not impressed.

I found the initial process of getting the ancestory kit and initial steps a little confusing and I called support. Other than that it's been a smooth process and interesting.
