I have been an AOL customer since 1995

I have been an AOL customer since 1995, almost 30 years. I logged onto my account today and it accepted my user name and password, but then it took me to a second verification page listing three different phone numbers. None of those three numbers is my phone number. I called customer support and they can do nothing to help me. Thirty years of emails and files inaccessible because you are too incompetent to find a simple solution.

I'm not a Marxist!!

Trying to use AOL email is turned into a nightmare. Waayyy too much SPAM, and sick and tired of the screen filling popups begging money for the anti-American Marxist kamalala/Tampon Tim campaign steal agenda! Cancelling AOL!

service was ok but recently getting hounded with marketing calls under the guise of”checking everything is ok” then trying to sell warrantys. tell them not to call is likebanging your head into a wall . wont use them again and to remove my details
and blocking makes no difference

Unbelievable

Useless customer service. I called for simple support and the woman was not able to provide a solution. They require payment to subscribe to a membership in order to receive customer service and I find that such unbelievable. I can't believe that!

There are scammers using this service to send spam emails with a copy of my email address but with a slight change in it.

Have had AOL since its existence,

Have had AOL since its existence,
Please get this BS Harris add off my screen every time i send an email. I pay for this service and don't need to inundated with socialist garbage you support. Want to run adds, fine run adds but don't turn my entire screen into an add when i am checking MY email and then have to search for the stupid exit. Your wasting my time and embarrassing yourself.

The worst experience ever

The worst experience ever. I have 21,642 unread emails and can't delete my account because I have two sub accounts which I can't login to because they were created 20 years ago. I have to delete them first before I can delete my main account. When I try to login to the sub accounts, my server says the accounts are dead, therefore I cannot log into them to delete them. Welcome to corporate America!

AOL the Worst Kind of Thief!

AOL has decided to change their parameters of use, so that if you don't have 2FA set up, using your phone to receive a code, you cannot access your account! Even though I had previously set up an alternative email address for 2FA, and their website said it would send a code to that email, I never received a code! I reached out to AOL tech support, which they will repeatedly remind you is a "FEE BASED" support, and after they so kindly requested my account info to verify my account, AND after sending me a code to my alternate email that I had to supply to them, so that they could access my account, they told me that the only options I had were to wait for hours to receive the code from my log in attempt, OR to pay them $9.95 a month for them to support my email account! I requested they send me another code so that I could complete my log in, but they refused! First off it had been about 14 hours since I had first attempted my log in and requested the email for verification and after that 14 hours I still had not received any email! Secondly, the code you request is only good for 60 seconds so what good would it do to receive it hours later? Thirdly, after I enquired about costs I was told I could purchase a one month of support for just $9.99! THIS IS EXTORTION! THIS IS WORSE THAN RANSOM! This is a company, AOL, trying to put a gun to your head and hold your account captive until you pay them for your free service! I know that AOL did something to prevent access from my computer, because I was still able to access it from my phone that already had access to the account. I was able to send an email from the alternate email to the AOL email and receive it and use the AOL account from my phone to send one to the alternate address successfully. AOL is the worst kind of thief!

This is literally the worst email…

This is literally the worst email provider ever, absolutely zero spam filter, I get 30 spam a day, I block everything and get same companies all the time, they sell your information and take financial reward to send out spam emails, there a joke and need closing down

There is absolutely no way to contact customer services now But Is that the point? ,I got locked out of my account just over a month ago. Sent a request to AOL took them over a month to reply gave them all the necessary. Information still lock me out., Even though all my information was up-to-date, they still insisted on using telephone numbers that were two years old, whoever is running that company now Should be ashamed of their rubbish Customer Service no wonder that they no longer use communication by telephone because they know that absolute rubbish and they mostly get a lot of abuse because System used to be really good but now it’s absolutely disgrace. Awful company

Awful company! Simple things like changing your email address or password they charge you for monthly now and you get nothing to show for it. Goodbye AOL you're just not worth the headaches

AOl used to be great in functioanlity…NOT NOW!

AOL used to be great in functioanlity and service. I guess Yahoo buying AOL has led to a demise in quality cutomer service care and technical acuity: does not really exist! Every time I screen share to resolve an issue half my searches begin with Yahoo. BTW: please do not waste my time telling me how sorry you are and tghat NO supervisors are available and that you cannot resolve my issue!!!

AOL has become an unresponsive totally…

AOL has become an unresponsive totally useless email server. It only wants to collect money by making ads more pervasive in a paid subscription, not notifying its paying customers of changes it is making to its interface. Its technical service is useless not because of its technical agents but because it frankly doesn't care about service only about making more money. I remember the days when Compuserve was the email service before AOL acquired it. Then it was wonderful, now it is a money-making machine and doesn't care about service.
