I was not at home when our Aptive representative came. He/She had sent sufficient communications before coming but the Jewish holiday's kept me off phone and computer. My wife was home and she said he/she was competent and efficient. He/She sent post application pictures that were without titles or explanations so it was hard for me to understand exactly where he had sprayed but I assume it was comprehensive.

Aptive’s communication is excellent…always know when they are coming, what they did, what they found at my home, including pictures. I have not had any issues at all with pests since hiring APTIVE.

The service has been excellent! No smelly chemicals -most times I cannot tell Aptive has been to my house at all. But the lack of bugs of almost any kind is proof enough for me! The techs are always friendly and professional.

I followed the technician around my home during the second exterior treatment and noticed they were skipping areas for no apparent reason. I had to ask the technician to go back and treat the missed areas. The application method for treating the soffits (intersection of the wall and roof) consisted of standing in one place and flinging the pesticide. This method left significant areas untreated. When asked about this method, the response was This is way we are supposed to do it. The following month I noticed spiders on the walls so I requested a retreatment. I received email notices stating the date for the retreatment but no time window. When the technician arrived I told them about the deficiencies of the previous treatment. He told me the treatment was performed in accordance with company procedures. After arguing, he agreed to treat the areas I considered to have been missed but he reminded me that the treatment was not in accordance with company procedures. At my previous home, in a different city, I had pest control service from a different company and I never saw them skip areas nor did I ever have to argue with the technician.

They cut corners whenever possible. Do the bare minimum if there is no one home during the service even if I specifically mention areas with lots of insects.

Nearly all of your tech service people are great. It would be nice to have the same one regularly. It would also be nice if they all had the same info about the address and they issues and their jobs.
Your service does a decent job of keeping away wasps (a previous problem), and other general bugs. (although you never can reach the eaves of the upper stories of my house).
However, I originally contracted you for an ant problem, and you have never, ever been able to get rid of them. They come back every spring, and stay through cold weather. In the downstairs parts of the house, they stay all year long. The last treatment didn't even deter them for 2 days. (and your service tech did a minimal job inside my kitchen.) Additionally, when I had a rodent problem in my garage 2 years ago, your treatment didn't work at all. And I discovered the reason that I had rodents in the first place was that your techs had stopped filling or checking the bait stations completely. They didn't even know where they were. It took nearly a year, and some unauthorized treatments to get rid of the problem, and you have never picked up the entirely useless traps. I also had one tech tell me horrifying stories about rodents, and suggest I needed a rat-terrier, another suggested that I needed a cat, and to call an exterminator--when I'd been paying you for years to *keep* my home pest free--which it had been.
I appreciate the "free return visits", but am really unhappy that you have changed my original contract from every 3 months (90 days) to every 50-80 days--which is an increase of 2 more visits & payments each year. Bad when you're on a fixed income.
Your communication center is "iffy", your techs never get the message that they can't text my land line when they're on their way, and up until this visit, they didn't know where the bait stations were, or what the ongoing issues are. It's also hard to get the same person to respond to issues on the phone.

The technician always texts me ahead of time to let me know their arrival time. They ring the door bell and if I am home, I answer, and they let me know the plan.
Upon completion, if I am home, they give me a detailed description of their work, what they found, etc. In addition, I always get a text message with photos of what was found and completed actions.
