Erfarenhet av nya appen!



Jag är mycket missnöjd med att Arlos nya app i praktiken tar bort en fungerande platsfunktion för flera adresser, om man inte tecknar ett separat extra abonnemang för varje plats.

För oss som har mer än en fastighet känns detta som ett sätt att straffa lojala storkunder. I stället för att belöna kunder som genom åren investerat i fler kameror, hubbar och abonnemang, verkar Arlo nu vilja ta extra betalt bara för att man ska kunna fortsätta använda en funktion som tidigare var både praktisk och viktig.

Detta är inte en förbättring av kundupplevelsen. Det känns som en prismodell som missgynnar hushåll med flera hem, kontor eller fastigheter.

Arlo bör tänka om och erbjuda en rimlig lösning för användare med flera platser under samma konto, utan att tvinga fram extra abonnemang för varje enskild adress.

Mycket besviken!

Warning regarding the “Arlo Essential…

Warning regarding the “Arlo Essential Security Camera 3rd generation”
On 4 April, I bought an Arlo Essential Security Camera 3rd generation from Kjell & Co in Valbo so that I could add two cameras to my existing Arlo PRO camera system.
In order to install the new cameras, the Arlo Secure app needed to be “upgraded”. The first big surprise was that the free storage I’d had previously had disappeared. I thought I’d just have to bite the bullet, but then came the big disappointment. Once everything was installed and ready, I was going to set up the new cameras. It then turned out that they only work in the immediate vicinity of the router, right outside the wall where the router is located. I’ve used the camera’s function to test the signal level, and the range is very short. I’ve measured the WiFi signal strength using other methods, and it’s very strong throughout the intended placement area, whilst the old cameras are positioned considerably further away.

So the ‘Arlo Essential Security Camera 3rd generation’ has far too short a range from the router to be useful. Is that perhaps why they were on sale?

For me, unfortunately, it has also meant that I have lost my ‘free’ cloud storage. Conclusion: buying cameras from a different brand and tricking the customer into upgrading is a rip-off.

If your Legacy cameras have stopped recording, please check the rules within the selected Mode and ensure that video recording is enabled. Rest assured that our newest Arlo Essential 3rd Generation camera model can also be placed up to 90 metres from the router or SmartHub (excluding obstacles), just like our previous camera models. In addition to obstacles, please also verify that the location where you plan to position the cameras is free from strong Wi‑Fi interference, as this may reduce signal strength.

Worst customer service ever

I placed the order in January, and received the parcel the week after. But it was not my goods, the parcel had been mixed up in transfer. I returned the parcel but did not received the correct one until 24th of March after 10-15 email to Customer support for orders. I only got response on 50% of my emails and the one I got any response on was after more than a week. Worst customer experiences in my whole life. 👎
