I recently purchased two stunning acrylic landscapes inspired by Curbar Edge in Derbyshire, and I couldn’t be more delighted with them. The artist has an exceptional ability to capture not just the landscape itself, but the atmosphere and emotion of being there.

The paintings are beautifully composed, with luminous skies, rich layers of texture and vibrant greens and golds that perfectly evoke the changing light across the Peak District moorland. What particularly impressed me is the way the artist balances abstraction with recognisable landscape features, allowing the viewer to feel the vastness and tranquillity of Curbar Edge while still leaving room for imagination and interpretation.

The quality of the acrylic work is outstanding. The colours seem to glow from within, and the textured surfaces create depth and movement that change throughout the day as the light shifts. Hung together, the two pieces complement each other perfectly and have completely transformed the space in my home.

These paintings capture the spirit of the Derbyshire landscape in a fresh, contemporary way while remaining deeply connected to the natural beauty of the Peak District. I’ve received countless compliments from visitors, and every time I look at them I’m reminded of the wild open views, dramatic skies and peaceful beauty of Curbar Edge. An immensely talented artist whose work I would recommend without hesitation.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the studio and picking a piece for my bedroom. The piece is perfect for the wall, with vibrant colours and textures....i just wanted to touch it!!!
