After using the service for a year, I renewed and payed the annual subscription, and after some months they cancelled my plan claiming the money didn't enter their account. I showed then that the money was taken out of mine and payed but they refused to acknowledge, claiming they never received the money.

Absolute scam company!

Scam company I wished I saw all the negative reviews before signing up, they are some shady people from Israel, no mailing address. No customer service. No option to cancel your account, they have no functional contact form. I subscribed to the cheapest subscription and after downloading about 11 clips they disabled the download functions and gave me useless tech support like cleating your cache, browse in private mode. The issue is not my computer.

A con. No way to see on their website whether or not you have an active subscription, nor can you find your banking info and delete it. They were basically charging me for years until I finally realized accidentally on a bank statement and tried to cancel. Then the weeks-long nightmare with terrible customer service began. Only a serious threat of lawsuit convinced them to return at least the last payment of around 400 dollars, which happened because I was allegedly one day late to "cancel renewal". And I never agreed to it in the first place. They still haven't sent a guarantee that they deleted my banking information. No way to speak to a real person, only some automated emails. The Artlist part is slightly better, at least you have some overview of your account - subscription and banking info.

Terrible user experience.

Everything has to go via email. You can't change payment type, you cant really cancel, you can't access old invoices.

The videos are fine, but service really seems fishy, I hope I get a hold of them this week.

Horrible scam company. There is no way to check if you are being billed, no way to cancel your subscription. You have to contact them and they may not reply. Or if they reply, they may not cancel it. Then you are billed $500 for a year. Insane. I had to cancel my credit card and I'm honestly still not sure if I'm being billed as there's no online interface. (Some merchants can access your new card number automatically.)

Do not use this app!!! I am a hobbyist video maker, and recently making a video for my friends business, I wanted to flash it up a bit with some stock footage. After carefully reading the terms and conditions of canceling etc, I was confident that I had signed up on a monthly instalment plan of $29USD pm Approx $46 Aus. The terms said you could cancel anytime, if you hadn't dowloaded any clips within 14 days of the next billing cycle. So, my plan was to use it for 3-4 days then cancel. Four days later I noticed they had taken a full years subscription out of my account. $568!!!
I contacted them immediately to alert them to my situation, pleading with them that I simply could not afford $568 to be taken out of my account. But they simply didn't care. They sent me one generic email saying sorry, but these are the terms, bad luck. Now, I am $568 out of pocket, for something I really have no use for. They could have still made one months subscription out of me for 3 days of use, but it wasn't enough for this greedy faceless group. They needed it all. No matter how much stress it has caused me. I would strongly advise not to use this app or give these soulless people any money.

I was very careful signing up for Artgrid. I signed up for a monthly account. I was never emailed a receipt. If I had received it I would have seen that I was charged $359 for the year, NOT a monthly charge. Their website says they have a 14-day monty back guarantee. I've emailed them and am waiting for them to refund my money and cancel my account if they cannot offer a monthy plan. We'll see what happens. The company is in Israel and there is of course no other way to contact them; I'm in the U.S.

I signed up to the free account back in 2021 and recently I decided that, since I used it only once when I signed up, I should delete my account. Come to find out that I can't do that without emailing the support team first! It feels SUPER shady to add the layer of waiting for an email to be responded to literally just to delete an account, like they're hoping that in the time it takes for that email to arrive, you'll have forgotten about it. I'm not a professional video editor (and as far as I'm aware, I haven't been made to pay money to this establishment) but I would avoid a website that adds unnecessary hurdles to basic account actions. It's just weird.

I purchased a one year license and barely used it. Then, a year later - without sending me an email, they charged my card for another year. I saw the charge on my card and contacted them for a refund. Nope. Sorry. "But we took you off auto-charge, so you won't get charged again next year."
Horrible customer service and an unethical company.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Artgrid employs highly unethical - possible illegal - business practices in terms of their subscription and refund model.

In short, they promise a full refund within 14 days if you're not happy with the service. But when you try evoke this, they tell you 'No refund because you downloaded assets during the trial period'.

This is BS for many obvious reasons. But on a legal basis, there are 3 key reasons why this condition is unethical (at best):

1. The publicly available licensing agreement on Artgrid's actual website (what a savvy person would look at PRIOR to signing up), does not include this condition. It only states that you may not use assets downloaded during the 14-day period if you apply for a refund. (I'm not allowed to post a link here, so see for yourself by searching for "artgrid refund policy" in Google)

2. The condition that you are not eligible for a refund if you download any assets during the 14 day period is buried in the sign-up Ts and Cs - and these contradict the licensing agreement available on their own website (see above). Furthermore, the sign up Ts and Cs that contain this ridiculous clause do not require you to click to accept. According to most countries' consumer protection acts, this is illegal (i.e. the user needs to actively click on the Ts and Cs in order for acceptance thereof to be legal)

3. Artgrid is a subsidiary of Artlist Ltd, which is headquartered and registered in Tel Aviv, Israel. As such, the company and its subsidiaries are governed by Israeli Consumer Protection Act Laws. These laws override any individual company laws, and they state that (paraphrased):
- any transaction carried out in a "long‑distance sales transaction" (according to the definition of this term under the Israeli CPL) can be cancelled within fourteen (14) days of the date of the transaction
- "Due to the nature of both peddling and distance marketing transactions, it is sometimes doubtful whether the consumer entered into them with full intent to purchase the product or service. Examples of such situations include persons who have not had 'the ability to examine the actual product at the time of entering into the transaction. This law "establishes a period of four months following the date a peddling or distance marketing transaction was concluded" to cancel and receive a refund.

Despite bringing all of the above (and more) to their attention, Artgrid has refused refund. Judging from the many other similar complaints here and on other sites, I think this company deserves a class action law suit....

even after i removed my SINGLE card, somehow they managed to get access to all my cards from all my bank account, my paypal account (same email i guess) and i JUST subsribed to some random trial 2 years ago with a single card and a single email... Out of the sudden, they tried to take out ~500 eur from my PayPal account, then from my personal card, then, after about a month after this happened, I got a text message that I just paid 30 euros to them. I tried logging in with all of my mail, but none of them had any subscription on. W T F is this crap!

Huge selection of amazing quality video footage. Videos are creative, well lit and planned, and my favorite is using shots created in sequence so you can tell a story and look less like stock. I know you pay for a year, but if you are just careful to know that you get amazing value for money. Shooting great video is expensive, so this is still amazing quality and value.

This COMPANY IS A SCAM, THEY CHARGE YOU A WHOLE YEAR WHEN LOOKS LIKE YOUR ONLY PAYING FOR A MONTH , AND THEY WILL NOT REFUND YOU! I LOST $357 BE WARNED!!!!!

The website is absolute garbage, it doesn’t work 98% of the time, but the videos are good.

I emailed to unsubscribe before the end of my subscription and received a response acknowledging it and saying "we've marked your ticket as resolved". Nonetheless, they tried charging me for another year and I had to contest it with my bank. Utter scum.

This company is a scam! The downloads don't even start and they don't allow you to get a refund for the services! The "free trial" is not free! They don't want to give you a refund or give you the option to cancel despite all the service issues. They don't offer a monthly fee! They advertise it as monthly but charge you an annual fee! Consumers should be protected and the company sanctioned! This company is truly scandalous and is trying to clean up its image with ARTLIST.

Artgrid is a scam!

Do not sign up - they will take money form your account every year even if you email to cancel it (there's no cancellation option on the website).

I downloaded videos from artgrid and I got a logo ARTLIST on all the footages so its useless after I was promised on the license that I will be able to download always footages for free... what a disappointment

This company is a scam!!!!! Do not sign up with them! Free trial" is not free! Good luck getting a refund or them canceling your subscription. They do not offer a monthly fee! They advertise it as monthly but they charge you a annual fee!. They should be placed on every financial institutions watch list! This company is disgusting.
