I made a purchase and didn’t get a confirmation email. The website also keeps saying there’s a database error now and the site looks like it’s gone. Also emailed them and no response. Not sure if it’s a scam.
Very happy to find Artisan Wines, to order my favourite Japanese winemaker.
Not so happy about third party communication during shipping: placed my order on 2 November and received email confirmation that it had shipped from Artisan Wines - but no updates on delivery status. On 10 November I contacted Artisan Wines to request an update. Received very prompt reply from Artisan Wines, and very helpful follow up. To my surprise, the order had been sitting in a warehouse in Melbourne since 6 November. Then I was told that the “Freight Provider only goes to Geelong every Wednesday”. It would have been good to know this.

This definitely helps us understand one of your pain points and an area that we need to improve in.
For context, we have three freight partners - and each have their own rules and schedules that they follow when delivering a package. As you can imagine, there are a lot of these rules. Furthermore, we do not have any kind of automated integration into their systems, and our orders are currently sent to them via a manual process.
Based on your feedback, we are going to prioritise an investigation into what we need to do to setup an automation / integration into the systems of our freight partners. In order to enable real-time delivery status notifications to you for your future orders and to all of our other customers.
