Scam

My very expensive short course was now cancelled for the second time! I have now waited almost a year to take it. With these prices, this is ridiculous.

cancelled twice - no communication

so wished I had seen the bad reviews before booking..

I had initially booked onto Branding and Identity Design Online Short Course starting: 16 Jan 2025 which was cancelled

I was rescheduled to 07/04/2025 - 11/04/2025, which has now been cancelled

I was told I could book onto Brand Management Online Short Course instead
14/04/2025 - 16/04/2025

I have chased up five times to ask for this to be resolved..

I have emailed 5 different email addresses that are vagued connected to marketing in the hopes someone might take pity!

Ive rang the switchboard who told me "you just have to wait for them to email back" I called student services which went through to voicemail- explained I know Im through to wrong department, but please could they help. I rang the college of communication and was ringing for 15 minutes before I gave up.

I rang the short courses number about ten times, it says your second in the queue, then first, then after 6minutes they disconnect the call..

Im totally at a loss..

I have never experienced anything like…

I have never experienced anything like this in 25 years in this industry. No one responds to emails for weeks. Okay, it can happen, emails can disappear. So I call. After countless calls, I am connected to a (very nice) lady who is responsible for the short courses - unfortunately not the one responsible for collaborations. She gives me the number for a central contact point. Okay, I call them and find out that there is no one at the university who is responsible for collaborations. To that I say - okay, then please connect me with the person who is responsible for answering the emails. I get the following answer: "We don't have access to it, I should please write an email..." (!!!!!!) Yes, what if no one has responded to emails for weeks? I specify: “Then please connect me to the person responsible for the emails!” - Answer: "I'm sorry, we don't have anyone responsible for this!" - YES then of course emails cannot be answered if there is no one responsible for them. So what's the best thing to do? You write an email!!! We work with fashion schools or academys all over the world, I've never experienced THAT before! We don't want any money from the Academy, on the contrary, we wanted to offer their students the opportunity to take part in the world's largest fashion weeks, and even have a sponsor who covers all the costs!

unrecoverable loss

I booked a short course for my son in London from France. This was cancelled without any explanation and if the course was refuneded, those people do not realise what are the collateral financial damage: as I had as well paid for air ticket and accomodation in London. Not only it is a shame to ruin people's motivation and hope, but this has cost more than a 1000 Euros of unrecoverable loss. I can see on other comments that it seems too be a regular treat from this supposedly reputable school. Shame.

Lost my job due to Mark Kunaseelan Head of Resourcing.
i made a mistake at work, and he went out the way to victimize me, and attack me. My employer had not option but to let me go due to the brand damage.
I wish people would have a heart and not hide behind a keyboard and ruin peoples lifes

Constant cancelling

I was enrolled on a graphic design short course which randomly got cancelled. When I rang up they said it was probably because there needs to be at least 5 people. I decided to just move my timetable around and go on the next available dates where there were more than enough people, around 8. I then got an email saying that’s cancelled again with no reason other than “reasons beyond our control” so you literally have to sit around for dates that may or may not happen out of pocket. Pointless. Don’t know why they even put them online if they aren’t going to go ahead like any other normal course.

The intensive short course I was planning to take was cancelled twice. In both cases I was informed less than a week before the scheduled start, after having already paid not only for the course, but also for accommodation and travel to London.

Short Course Department is run by Rogue Traders

Signed up for a short course then I realized that I wanted to change to another one, checked availability and sent email to them regarding change (within 24 hours). I didn't hear anything from them for next 3 days and they only sent a generic email stating someone will get in touch. I also tried calling them number of times through out the day for next 3 days days but no answer.

I resorted to contacting another department so that they can get Short Course department to contact me, and within 5 mins I get an email from them saying there are no more spaces left.

People working for Short Course department do not even put their names down in their email replies. So I do not know who is contacting me? I do not know of any professional organization where their employees do not put their names when contacting their customers.

Absolutely waste of time. I have requested for refund and asked for their head of department to contact me so I can file a complaint.

Future Creatives - Soulless in St Albans

13 year old son signed up for St Albans Future Creatives course. He said the teacher made no effort for the class to break the ice and get talking to eachother. She did not ask questions about everyone, and set a timer to get the art pieces completed.

My son said it felt heavily like school and did not feel conducive to artistic freedom at all. We attended one class and bailed out. He has since found a local art teacher who is a lot more chilled out.

This feels like a soulless, franchised brand.
