I've had a few bad experiences with mechanics, but Ben was a genuinely helpful and very capable guy. He managed to squeeze my car in for a quick inspection the day after I first enquired, lifted it up and then walked me around the car to point out the various bits he'd be looking at during the actual inspection! Once he'd done, he let me have the chance to drive around briefly to make sure I was happy and waited while I did so. His communication was great the whole time and he was willing to fit me in when was most convenient for me. I can't recommend Ben enough, and if I need work in the future I won't hesitate to give him a call.

My car needed a new Alternator and I was recommended Auto Tech Diagnostics, I was able to drop my car of that morning.
Recieved a call later that day and was told that my gear box was in a bad way as well as my Alternator, as this was a big job, Ben spent a lot of time discussing my options with me and was able to provide some good advice. Thank goodness this was picked up as this could have been a huge problem. Both jobs were done for an excellent price. Communication was excellent and would highly recommend. I will definitely be taking my car back for annual service and MOT. Thank you so much.

I took my Mercedes to Auto-Tech Diagnostics with an electrical fault on the ignition that was proving very hard to track down. Ben was very polite and listened to my experiences with the car carefully. He very quickly diagnosed the problem, traced the required part from Germany and rectified the problem. He also carried out some mechanical work and took the car for MOT, (it passed). Altogether a successful outcome and a very pleasant experience. I have now trusted my Porsche to Ben.

We had our car over to Autotech Diagnostics to find and rectify a suspension and steering issue. Ben kept us informed of progress at all times, he sent pictures of the issues found and we agreed the work required. The problems were quickly sorted and the car now drives exactly as it should.
Good communication from Autotech with clear explanation of the problem. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

I met ben years ago when he was a manger at another garage and due to his great customer service, amazing knowledge and years of experience I’ve followed him wherever he has gone!

It’s great to see he has gone alone in his work and he looks after my fleet of 8 motorhomes, all my personal and classic cars and is always there when needed - nothing too big or small for him!!

The service he provides I genuinely wouldn’t go anywhere else!!

I’ve sent many friends and family his way and they all speak extremely highly of his services!!

Two more motorhomes to book in with him next month and I know it’s always 110% each and everytime

Can’t recommend this mechanic enough! Always my go to mechanic for any issues with my car and any servicing it needs. Great communication throughout every job. Never an issue finding availability and no unnecessary waiting for the job to be done. Never been over charged for work done. Most importantly very friendly service and takes the time to explain the work being done so it is easy to understand.

I have taken my SQ7 to Ben a few times for some work and he has never let me down. Would definitely recommend Ben as he really knows his stuff! First time going to Ben I was quite stressed and worried as my newly purchased car developed an electrical fault. With Ben's expert knowledge he diagnosed and fixed the fault in no time. His honestly and customer service is what sets him apart to the rest. I have also used Auto tech for servicing and gearbox servicing, as well as having my 4x4 system serviced and brakes changed. Ben has all the right tools and has plenty of knowledge on VAG cars, and has main dealer software equipment. I wouldn't take my car to anyone else other than Auto Tech. Reasonably priced, and very good at what they do!

After struggling with a non-starting car and being passed from garage to garage with no solution, I finally found Auto-Tech Diagnostics – and I genuinely can’t praise them enough. From the moment my car went in, the professionalism, knowledge, and attention to detail were clear.

The issue was something others couldn’t get to the bottom of, but this guy not only found the fault, he had it running perfectly in no time. His workshop is spotless, clearly a well-equipped and top-tier facility, and it’s obvious he’s got decades of experience across all makes and models.

I got a chance to see some of the other work he had going on, and honestly, nothing seemed too big or too complex – everything was handled with skill and confidence. He gave my car his absolute best, and it shows.

His work ethic, knowledge, and dedication are second to none. I wouldn’t take my car anywhere else now. Highly, highly recommend.

I’ve taken my 2016 Volkswagen Golf GTD multiple times, came across Ben back in November 2024 on the recommendation of a very good friend of mine to take it to him and he completely solved multiple wiring issues after saying he would get to the bottom of it. - and he does so always! Also more recently had a dual mass flywheel, clutch replacement and also oil service with an engine flush. A very reliable and honest mechanic with fantastic communication, who will get the job done and has done many jobs for many people who have been leaving satisfied. A++++ for this company!!

Not tasked for the job.had vehicle for 4 days before looking at it.for injector removed.got told he can't do it doesn't have the tools for it.ok fair enough and then left me to push my own vehicle not giving me a hand and went back inside his unit.took to a reputable garage and within 1 hour had whole Job completed so I doubt he even attempted to look at it.youtube mechanic and communication is poor to wouldn't recommend this fella.
