I have been trying for the past week - I've sent 5 emails - to return an item to Avery & Rose. I send them the details they require for them to send me the necessary documentation but I have received no response

Avoid at all costs! Like others scammed by this fraudulent company . NOT UK company so lie about being Manchester based but are based in China . Very poor quality goods nothing like website, unable to return and as not uk registered no cover from credit card all of which I’m sure they know. Returns are to China and they point out of course may take a long time and not arrive i.e they will use as excuse not refund you Plus they won’t help with the customers forms required to post to China. An absolute disgrace and nothing we to do about it except advertise the scam

Can’t believe I was taken in. Just like everyone else. Items made from cheap polyester, knitted pattern printed on. Ages to arrive. Wrong items in parcel. Offered a 10% discount or to send back with my own money something I never asked for. Meaning I had to pay for 90% of their ‘mistake’. Was it a mistake? It sounds like they could send anything to you, your having paid for something else, and you are stuck with it.
Numerous emails, all polite practically telling me that the item, if returned, would get lost en route. Total disregard for international trading standards. Is there no protection from these practices?
They do not deserve even one star.
Can FaceBook not take their adverts down?

Avery and Rose are not a UK based Company. They operate out of china, their products are of poor quality not not as described on the Facebook or their Webb site. I would not recommend this company to anyone

Shocking quality and website now disappeared. Email for info also fails. Scam don’t order from the company. Will still try and get a refund but not holding my breath

Ordered on 13th Oct. Still not got the goods. Email twice, they say the order is on route. Website is now down so cannot check tracking

AVOID THIS COMPANY. I can only agree with every other review about this company. The website is misleading. I thought it was a family business in Manchester and thought I'd read that returns would ship to France. If I'd known it was a Chinese company with goods coming from China, I never would have purchased from the site. I should have checked the Returns page before purchasing as there's no address given and no telephone number to call. If I had known returns would have to be shipped to China, I never have used the website.
I found the quality of the goods OK, not great, but they weren't expensive. However, they didn't fit me properly and although the sizes were supposed to be the same, each garment fitted was different: some too small and others too large with the sleeves long or too short.
In their favour, my emails to customer services have been answered promptly. When I first requesting a return the company offered to send a different size at a cost of £11.95 per item. Not an option for the reasons given above and the styles didn't suit me. When I explained this and requested returning the items for a full refund, I was then told they could only be sent to their central warehouse in Ningbo, Zhejiang, China at my cost and "International returns can sometimes face delays, and there is a possibility that the package may get lost in transit, which we cannot take responsibility for." Their final offer was for me to keep the goods (which don't fit!) and they would refund me 10% of the items value, which would be £18! Please AVOID.

Complete Scam. No contact phone number or address on website. Fools you into believing they are family based company from Manchester. They are based in China. Garments bares no similarity to professional garment photo on website. Returns policy offers a full refund but does not provide the address in China that all returns have to be posted to , in order for your refund to be processed. Do not buy from them extremely poor quality. Many websites using the same format but are the same company.

Bitterly regret not checking before buying. A minus 10 would be too high. Shoddy quality jacket made out of what looks like felt! Have learnt a hard lesson from a sophisticated scammer. DO NOT BUY!

Totally misleading in every respect. Ordered what looked like beautiful wool cardigan what I got was a cheap shiny material jacket. Price to return absolutely prohibitive

I would give this company zero! Absolute scam, I too fell for it probably because it looks like they are an English company. I am yet to get any money back. Has anyone? Run for the hills!!!

My strong advice is Do not touch this company. They look genuine and classy from pictures showing on their website - based in Manchester. THIS IS NOT TRUE
Items are cheap & tacky and on asking for a refund they request items to be returned to China at great cost.

Same as everyone else. Don't buy from this company. Ordered a cardigan and got a cheap fleece. They offer return to China at your expense with warning it may be delayed or never get there. Or you can take a discount - first 10% then 20% then 25%. They ignore all quoting of broken regulations. I finally got fed up and accepted 25% and they sent me 20%

This company does not adhere to the consumer laws and rights that we are eligible for as overseas buyers.
The products are nothing like they are described and are an extremely inferior quality, as well as being terribly overpriced.
Do not be drawn in by how lovely an item looks as it's gross misrepresentation.
Trying to get a refund is impossible with frequent offers of escalating discounts up to 30% and the ability to keep the foul garment.
Failing to accept the discounts you are asked to pay for postage, have it tracked, all the way back to China! I don't think so!

The products were good quality and a good fit. I was disappointed in the time for delivery as I thought they were British company and delivery would be within a week

They are not based in Manchester. Their advertising is completely fake. The garments are cheap tat that have no labels in them and are worth a tiny fraction of what they are sold for. Returns are not really an option - to China at your risk and expense! Disgraceful.

Ordered 2 pairs of shoes in the same size, they arrived, one pair is to big and one too small. The company offered me 15% back and the ability to keep the items - for what purpose I do not know if I can't actually wear them. Trying to get a returns process started but they are resolutely avoiding this.
Also order a jumper which was just a knitted print printed on to a sweatshirt of terrible quality.

Don't go near them. Apparently, according to Companies House they are closing down - so probably should not be trading anyway.

If I could give this company a zero,I would. Ordered a cardigan ,received a poorly made hoody in garish colours , which would definitely act as a tent for a small gathering. Avoid this company!!!! Customer service is based on scripted responses. Apparently I can return the item to China at my expense but there is no guarantee they will receive it. They offered that I could keep it ,and they would refund 10%of the cost of the item... joke . Lesson learnt ***

One star is generous! Instagram mug didn’t check reviews for this company. Cheap quality loafers that are really ill fitting and cost of return makes it not worthwhile. Lesson learned! 😕
