I wish I’d known how limiting Babylist is before setting up Group Gifting. When friends “chip in,” the money becomes Babylist store credit that you cannot cash out. If a brand or big-box retailer runs a better Black Friday/holiday sale (which happens a lot), you’re stuck paying with store credit at Babylist instead of buying where it’s cheapest.

Babylist also doesn’t price match, so their price can lag behind OEM or retailer promos. The much touted 15% completion discount only applies to items sold by Babylist, has brand exclusions, and caps at $300, nice if it applies, useless if your item is excluded or cheaper elsewhere. I’ve also seen stale prices on linked retailer items; the “real” price only shows after you click out.

Bottom line: Use Babylist strictly as a universal registry hub to organize links. For group contributions, choose a Cash Fund (Venmo/PayPal) or register directly with a retailer so you keep control during sale season. I learned the hard way that Group Gifting trades flexibility for store credit. I won’t use it again.

Awful company. Cancelled my very big order without any explanation in the last day of expected delivery (I paid extra for a faster delivery), support is useless and slow. I regret that I have another order there and now I’m afraid of long delivery or unexpected cancellation. I regret I paid them

Truly one of the worst options you can use.

Paid $40 plus for shipping on their already over priced items just for it to arrive 7 weeks later. I was willing to pay extra for the simplicity but not for it to arrive 7 weeks later and after my friend had their baby.

Customer service said it’s within their contracts and sent me a copy.

Definitely avoid at all costs

Be very careful with this company. I spent $1500 on a gift for my daughters registry and after it said that it had shipped it cancelled all of the sudden. No refund, no explanation, no nothing. Just told it was a suspicious transaction. Let me be clear, I paid them and they took the money from my card and then they cancelled the order with no refund!!!!

Placed order for friends baby shower. The item never showed up. Contacted company and keep getting told it’s normal for this type of thing to happen. They tell me to give it more time.
Their tracking info shows me nothing.
Will not recommend or do future business with this company!

Like most reviews state: extremely slow to ship and tracking info is useless. Worse: when I ordered an item it wasn't removed from the registry, so somebody else ordered the same item and I had to return it and order something else. Order from elsewhere or you WILL be sorry !

They SUCK! Totally ignore your order until you call! Then they said they're too busy? Seriously? 33 DAYS to send a package? NEVER BUY FROM BABYLIST! they're too busy. Not for long. Worst customer service EVER!!

The absolute worst! Do not order from them. I ordered a breast pump using my insurance, which took an ungodly amount of time to process and finally ship out to me. And then the kicker, they email me 6 months later saying that my insurance isn’t going to cover it. Oh and here’s a bill. 1) I had insurance coverage 2) they refuse to do anything to actually rectify the situation and just sent a bill saying ‘contact insurance and you can pay us back in $20 increments if you want’. Swell. Great solution. I no longer have that insurance and you ‘surprise billed me’which is illegal in the state I live in. They are the worst. Do NOT order 1 single product from them. Way over priced, takes way too long to get your items, and overall just terrible customer service.

This company uses third party sourcing, does not know inventory, and cannot meet its delivery timeframes. Ordered 4 items, only 1 item shipped after 2 weeks. Remaining items have yet to be shipped. After contacting them, was told the remaining items were from different warehouses. Received a notice 2 additional items were shipped but tracking said the shipper still hadn’t received anything from Babylist. And other item was being prepared for shipment. Still waiting….

Horrible company. Ordered an item in stock and weeks later says they no longer have said item and it won’t be back in stock for months - doesn’t try to make it right by making up for their mistake, instead they just tell you to cancel and order something else. No discount or compensation for totally wasting your time and failing to communicate. Doesn’t care about customer service. Forget trying to get a pump through them. Will tell your doctor to fax the form, then when they do, they’ll send you a bunch of emails saying you need to email it instead. They waste new and busy moms’ time and do not care if you’re happy or not.

Find another company.l just got home,and their delivery driver was blocking my driveway.I tooted once,but he didn't care,and made me wait while he delivered.I said something to him,and he screamed at me and spit on my car.Great company,great employees.....and you can't call them.

I’m terribly disappointed that this was the registry chosen for a baby shower I was recently invited to. I accessed the registry just fine and selected my gift that I purchased through Amazon and had shipped to me without issue. This is where everything went downhill. Babylist asked me to include the purchase order number. I chose not to include that. They asked me to verify where I purchased the item. Ifi didn’t complete this info they wouldn’t mark the gift as purchased from the registry. They asked me for my address so that the recipient can send a card (unnecessary). I’d finally had enough when I agreed to completes feedback form and they asked me if I WAS planning to have a baby! This is WAY overstepping for info requests. I would never recommend this registry to anyone.

A month ago, I purchased a $1200 stroller for my DIL. It was listed as an item that several people could contribute to because it was expensive but I paid the whole amount. I did this with another DIL when she had her baby but with a different company. Babylist WILL NOT SHIP THE STROLLER but says that my DIL needs to go into her account, locate the 'credit' and choose what to buy. Absolutely insane!

It’s been two weeks since I placed my order with no status updates regarding shipping date or est delivery date. They will not allow me to cancel order for refund.

This company is a proverbial joke, as evidenced by all of the one star reviews. I wanted to change the shipping address of the item I purchased, before they even shipped it, and I was told it wasn't possible. I double checked online, and the package was literally sitting in their warehouse. They have a huge leadership problem - it's obvious. In addition, to no phone support, it's almost impossible to find the chat button on their website - I would bet that this move is intentional! I

I was charged for items that were never in my cart! I changed my mind on purchasing anything from them but somehow they were able to charge me anyway. I disputed the charge but was unsuccessful. Never given the opportunately to return unwanted items because they were not delivered to me. Never use or buy anything from this company. Customer service is horrible, you can't talk to a live person, only virtual chat that gets you nowhere!

I am really upset. I received a text saying my gift to my daughter was delivered 1/23/24 but the gift was no where in sight. We looked on website that advised you to check with neighbors and allow more time. This is an unacceptable practice. Now they have requested I allow 5 more business days from 1/23/25. I will update my review on 1/30/25.

Worst experience they will try to keep all the funds people give you ! Most of their items can’t not be purchased with your own funds ! It’s a night mare

I’m so frustrated, I created a Babylist profile so that everyone could go to one place for my other THREE registries. I added everything I needed and wanted. But Babylist insists on promoting their gift cards! Do not buy their gift cards! Anyway I kept trying to figure out how to remove the item, couldn’t. So anyway a family member decided to purchase a Babylist gift card for $200. At first I was super excited but that quickly ended. I CAN’T PURCHASE ANYTHING OFF OF ANY OF MY THREE REGISTRIES!! I have to purchase ONLY from the Babylist shop!
Not only is the shop Bull— the prices of items are dumb high/expensive they had nothing I wanted or needed and I can’t even purchase a gift card for visa or any other place at all. So now I’m stuck with this $200 useless gift card that is not returnable or transferable, I completely livid and pissed off! Of course I emailed the company right away-can’t wait to see what they come up with

I ordered items specifically that said they would be delivered before the date of the baby shower. I ordered them well in advance. The one order had about 10 items on it and the second order had two items on it. None of them were delivered prior to the baby shower. It was difficult to contact anyone. Once I did contact someone through the Live chat they were not very helpful and didn’t seem to care. I am understanding to certain point that things happen. I left myself more than enough time for my items to be delivered. It was a little embarrassing, going to the baby shower and looking at the display, wondering where my items were.
