The produce is very good. In particular the sausage, lamb and beef. It's useful to be able to stock up on your favourite dry goods as well. The service is very good, if we do have delivery issues it's because of problems locally in Bulgaria. And no fault of BBTB or UPS. In fact, my delivery got from Ireland to Bulgaria in less then 24 hours. Also, communication is good, which I appreciate. I do normally get quite prompt replies to e mails.

The delivery driver didn’t arrive on numerous occasions. One time receiving a 1 second call to give the impression they contacted me.
No one at the company appears to speak French despite targeting the French market. After sales care was non existent. No empathy at all.
They know their delivery company is unreliable and do nothing about it.

Awesome. Missed the flavours of home and placed my first order recently. Quality was fantastic. My delivery was a day later than expected. But everything was so well packed it arrived in perfect condition. The only small niggle is UPS in Poland are not great for tracking so it was difficult to know where the package was. Just placed a second order for Christmas and not really bothered by the tracking now. Customer service was very fast and helpful. Highly recommended

The best way to have irish and english food living in Italy, fast delivering and the products arrives as fresh as i just went to the shop .. So BRAVO and thank you for making me go back to my childhood having a proper english breakfast with sausages and bacon.. ❤️❤️❤️ Wendy

We have been using Bacon by the Box for quite a few years now, I usually do two fairly large orders a year, the usual bacon , sausages , beef , turkey. We have always been delighted.
From start to finish, the ordering, being kept completely informed, until delivery. A superb service. A delightful delivery driver.
Today’s delivery included beef burgers, which we had some for tea. I had ordered both advertised. We had the Beergarden ones, oh boy , they are good, tasty and like the beef burgers we remember. Thank you so much once again. Family arriving soon , so lots of delicious things.

I bought a batch for delivery to the USA for friends. The UPS delivery method was really efficient (the delivery person took a photo of the package outside the front door as confirmation).

PS (adding this note here after reading some reviews): I have been a regular client since 2020 receiving Chronofresh deliveries in France. I never had any quality issues with the food. Their customer service is very quick to answer if you have any questions before or after you order.

Having recently giving Baconinthebox a fairly negative review and after consultation with them, I now ammend my opion to a more positive position. They have been extremely professional and taken the necessary steps to rectify the situation. Positive and professional, thank you Bacon in the Box

Box was wet when it arrived. It was not a refrigerated vehicle but in thermal bags. We were both ill after eating the sausages. Threw away 50 euros worth of meat. Lack luster response from the company. At these prices they should do better!

Just received my first order here in Tenerife. I am extremely happy with the quality of the products and the delivery service.

We are very happy with the products, however we were left short of some produce ordered before last Christmas 2024 despite emails to that effect as of today 7th February 2025 no recognition of receiving our email or any sign of reply.

I ordered a turkey crown and cranberry sauce online from France. Delivery was excellent and on a date to suit me . It was delivered well packaged, with a smile. The turkey was very good, full of flavour and tender. The sauce was good too.
I thoroughly recommend their product and will order again.

Great place to order from. Delivery took a little while, but in their defence, it is Christmas, so I expect a lot of orders are going out. However, once the items arrived (and we ordered a fair bit), they were top quality. Delicious food and good prices. We would definitely order from them again.

I am Scottish living in Italy. This company in Ireland supplies me with food items I can no longer purchase from the UK. The ordering and delivery process is very straightforward, highly organised and the quality of the food items is excellent. I would absolutely recommend.

I live in France and have placed several orders with this company. I'm Scottish, so I fully appreciate quality meat and sausages. I can honestly say I've never had any issues with these lovely folk. Even if something is not available, I've had prompt emails from them and, if no subs are an option, then I've received a refund. No problem. All the fresh produce has been delicious and tender, particularly the silverside, the massive burgers and haggis sausages. Packaging is always substantial and chilled and I'm looking forward to placing my next order.

It gets worse! This is after receiving cheddar in packaging which was ‘blown” and mouldy. They applied a credit to the account apparently.

This is the subsequent message I sent some 5 days later. Which despite following up, they have not had the courtesy to respond.

“I think you need to actually credit money rather than the account.

My husband is an excellent chef. Our first order included brisket - a cut difficult to find in France. It was cooked to "perfection" but was "tough as old boots" - I complained.

Our second order included rib eye steak - cooked perfectly but again inedible.

Now, out latest order - included Silverside. This was tough and inedible. The entire piece (1kg) being thrown away.

Clearly your supplier has slaughtering or butchery problems. Three different cuts of meat with the same problem!

You may not be surprised that the chances of our ordering again from Bacon in the Box are slim - and we will potentially post a rare, but not favourable, review on line.

Currently residing in France, I was really looking forward to receiving my first large order of bacon/ sausages - really miss British/ Irish breakfast goodies, and the reviews on the website were very promising.

This is such a let down. The bacon is simply nasty. I ordered two types. Danish, and smoked (more expensive) rashers. Both are chewy, salty and tasteless with an unpleasant texture. This is nowhere near the butchers’ quality I was hoping for. But it is not even lower grade supermarket quality. Awful product. I naively placed a large order and will have to find a way to use up all that bacon so it doesn’t go to waste. Not looking forward to it.

The sausages are inedible. I ordered a kg of the apple ones. They are clearly of the lowest industrial grade, cheap, pasty and full of grain. So highly processed one can’t actually taste the meat. There is no recycling them, they are going to go in the bin.

The mature cheddar I ordered is equally vile. No lovely salty crumb. Rubbery, low cost industrial rubbish.

I was hoping to have found a gem I would shop regularly from but this is a complete rip off. I will never order again.

I am giving a star for the quality of the delivery. I ordered a few fragile items in glass packaging, which were carefully wrapped and intact, and my meat order arrived on time, cold, fresh and well preserved. The driver was friendly and helpful.

Such a shame. With the large numbers of expats in Europe who miss their basics from home, a company that sells good quality fresh products would probably make a triumph.

We recently purchased some bacon and sausages. The dates on the packs were very short, just 6 days. Although the food was frozen, sausages should only be frozen for up to 2 months, and because of the short use by dates it means we won't be able to keep them for long. The bacon dates were also very short. The bacon we have had so far was very tasteless, despite having a good texture. So far, pretty disappointed. It's rhe first time we've ordered and it's put us off ordering again
