Avoid at all costs! Hired due to my complex tax situation, and received a return that didn’t look anything like returns I had received in the past. Went back to my previous accountant and a third firm for second and third opinions and was told the return Alistair provided demonstrated a poor understanding of my complex tax issues. When I asked for more information I was shirked off and avoided. So unprofessional- there are much better services for a better cost elsewhere.

The team at Bambridge have helped me with IRS filings since 2014. Their guidance on navigating the complexities of the return, speed and general IRS process have been invaluable. If it is a straightforward return we have a smooth and efficient process in place now. However, if looking for guidance on specific life-events, optimal ways to set up a business, B2L property or how best to plan your tax affairs for the future (e.g. stocks, ISA, pension etc); I have found them very expensive to obtain advice and the information once received is a little light, despite the years of working with them. Callie and Alistair are great at reminding me of the timelines for submitting the returns and the occasional newsletter is appreciated - as rules/policy change all the time! I have recommended the Bambridge team to 2 friends. One I believe engaged their services the other has preferred to use another accountant.

The first place I send friends and relatives who realise they need to navigate the UK/ US tax situation. I have filed with Bambridge for over 5 years and always appreciate their no nonesense understanding of the UK/US dual citizenship tax situation for creatives and freelancers.

Living in the US, I always prided myself in filing my own taxes. However, moving to the UK, it quickly became clear to me that the process was more complicated than I could manage. Alistair and his team kindly walked me through the process, and are extremely knowledgeable. Alistair even discussed the pros and cons of having a rental property in the UK and what the tax implications of that might be. I can confidently recommend them for any expat tax needs.

I have been using the services of Bambridge Accountants for several years, and have found Alistair's services prompt and efficient. He understands the interplay between the US and UK tax systems very clearly which is a valuable expertise to assist US citizens residing in the UK.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

This is the worst experience I have ever had with a professional services firm. Despite paying for the services, I have been following up for several months and missed the US tax deadline. Communication with Alistair started off smoothly, but despite several email follow ups and calling the office multiple times, I have been completely cut off.

I'm not one to leave negative reviews, but it's a last resort after being completely ghosted by this firm. If you google them, I'm horrified to find lots of customers having the same experience. Really shocked and upset at having my money taken, it is fraud and I tend to file formal complaints with the tax regulator.

I was referred to Bambridge Accountants by another happy customer. I was a US expat living in the UK and am self employed, making my taxes complex. I can rely on Alistair's expertise, guidance and tax filing.

Bambridge Accountants is an excellent accounting firm. I have been working with them for 3 years. They repond quickly to inquireries and give clear and usefull advice.
As a US expatriat they have made US filing an almost pleasent task since they are both competent and very professionel. Everyone I've dealt with is efficient, knowledgable and very kind.

Brilliant company, we get financial returns every year that we file. Everything is made easy, no going into the office all sent and verified, couldn't be easier

They do a good job of preparing the taxes and everything seems to be accurate. I do wish they'd walk through the return with me upon completion though. Sometimes they can take a while to respond, but they usually respond. Overall, good value for money. Would recommend.

Very unprofessional service. They took six weeks from receiving my documents to file my return, then barely submitted the return on time (apparently because the IRS upload system was down?), and expected payment before the return actually came through.

They also clearly weren't entirely aware of the tax code because he got my estimated return incorrect, which has never happened to me before in 10 years of filing US taxes.

I would like to thank Bambridge and specially Callie who had been dealing with the red tape called the IRS for a decade for me. The service I have been provided is second to none and attention to detail is amazing. I used to do my own 1040, but now living in England and having a business it became too complex for me. They have relieved my stress over doing my tax returns and at a good value in comparison to many other companies. Thank you.

Bambridge file my US returns and are always a pleasure to work with.

I moved over to Bambridge Accountants two years ago and am happy to share that they are an excellent firm to work with. The team keeps me incredibly well organised and they have sorted out some quite complicated things around my dual US/UK nationality and taxes. Everyone I've dealt with is efficient, knowledgable and very kind.

I’m surprised by the large number of negative reviews. Speaking for myself, I’ve found the company easy to deal with since I first used them to get streamlined for my US taxes. In as a much as I understand anything about finance (it terrifies me, hence wanting an accountant) everything seems to have been handled properly.

Dreadful, unreliable and unprofessional behaviour. Alastair was referred to me by a friend. He was in touch several times in the beginning and committed to do both my UK and USA taxes (including 2020 which is overdue). On that basis, I let my other accountants go. Alastair did my UK taxes but has not responded to countless phone calls and emails over the past 6m regarding USA taxes. I understand Callie is good and have asked to be transferred to her if Alastair doesn't have time. No response. He has left me completely in the lurch. Have been asked recently for a recommendation for a good UK/USA accountant; would not recommend Bambridge accountants.

Gosh I wish I had all the positive reviews these others people do.

I am an expat that needed to pay my US taxes. It will started out great. I paid and Bambridge filed my Streamlined taxes for 3 years. So I thought all was good until I wanted to do the following year taxes. The new accountant I had reviewed it and showed multiple places where Bambridge filed incorrectly and were negligent.
This made it impossible to file the new year taxes, because the amendment had to be sent first.

I went back to Bambridge with this information and asked for an amended return. He agreed multiple times and never sent them to me. I waited for over 6 months before I had to report it, and I’m still waiting. He made multiple promises that I would have it by the end of the day, but nothing. I have remained cordial and still I get lies or no answer at all. This is the law that he’s playing it.
