Total scam. Stay far far away! Cheap stuff, gum ball quality.
promised easy shipping and returns. I hated the jewelry; it was cheap and the earring post backs were bent. I asked for a refund and suddenly they told me they were in China, and it would cost me over75 euro to send back. At first, they offered me an Exhange, then reneged and said they would reimburse 30% and I would have a lot of credit for more jewelry. Total rip off. I think they are owned by the very cheap clothing SHEIN which does the same. It is such a hassle and very costly to return, so they still end up with your money and you get screwed.
This is a scam website. I purchased earrings for £25 that you can buy on Temu for £3. The items are from Asia- not hand made by a jeweller who is retiring and selling her hand made stock. I've complained numerous times by email and keep getting same message to return item for a full refund. Don't send item back as it's a fictitious address and is expensive to return. Apparently Australia and America are affected too. Check out websites when purchasing online- many are scammers.
the item not as discribed bought for 28 pounds plus postage found on temu for 3.80 not hand crafted but a chinese produced
I received an email from Barbara Smith about a “retiring from jewelry business sale” which led to a very legit looking site with nice looking jewelry and no typos. I couldn’t remember having ever bought anything from her, but I thought maybe it was possible that I got on a mailing list somehow from an event.
I had an item in my cart and was about to buy it when I decided to just go through a little bit more of the earrings and see if there was anything else I wanted to add since it was free shipping.
Well, when I happen to go back through a few more pages, I saw something that I felt like I had seen on Amazon or Temu and sure enough when I went to search Temu I found an identical earrings for like $2-3 instead of the $29.99 that they were on the website… wow what a scam! But it was very convincing because there was a whole bio page with the whole history of the business and everything.
My husband even said maybe it wasn’t just a scam for the sale but maybe it wasn’t even real and they could just steal your credit card information so I’m glad that I had decided not to purchase it.
Fake website. Items not as advertised. Don't trust.
Scam website featuring an entirely made-up, fictional jeweller. I do wish the companies that run the ads for these (like AOL, where I saw it) would take some responsibility and do their due diligence. Ten seconds shows you it's a fraud site, so why can't they weed them out?
Fraudulent advertising. Multiple versions exist, featuring handsome, retirement-age women, mix and match names and faces, across different countries. Same narrative game: retiring from a long career as an artisanal jewellery maker (to enjoy her grandchildren), she's selling her lovingly crafted stock at an 80% discount. Same settings: Barbara, Wendy, Christine, Colette or whoever looking wistful in her soon-to-close workshop; her, younger self; the first, burnt-out shop; new shop and a new husband; the family tooling their wares together, grandchild being read to, etc. Don't be fooled. If you like the jewellery, do a reverse image search to find it for a fraction of the price from sources like Temu, Joom or AliExpress. Example: Barbara's Spherical Dragonfly Earrings, down from £122 to £25 ... or from Temu or AliExpress for £0.81.
After I fell for this, I started to realize something fishy was going on. The dead line on the closing sale keeps changing. Started googling some of the merchandise. Looked up a particular ring I was interested in that she was selling marked down from $164.99 to $32.99. Went to a large internet site A....... and found same ring for $9.99. Bought that ring and it was a perfect match. Then checked out another ring I was interested in and did same thing and that one was marked down from $149.99 to $29.99 and sells Scam has dead line for sale that keeps changing and it gives the quantities available and selling for $4.99 on the internet giant.
they don't change either. One of the rings I spoke about was really cool and I was sure it would sell out right away. But when I kept going back to the site and looking at that same ring, the quantity available has not changed in a couple of weeks. I actually fell for this and bought both rings before I realized there was something wrong. Shipping info shows it coming from China. The woman pictured the
internet that is supposedly retiring from making all the pieces displayed blonde older woman gave the impression that she was located in the US. And the order is still on it's way but still to be in China somewhere. Tracking does not identify any actual cities or locations as to where the order is. The carrier is not any carrier that recognize.
I'm an idiot. I was so excited when I saw these beautiful pieces I went in head first and didn't even think to Google the company. Let this be a lesson to anyone to always buy on a credit card not a debit card. That way you can dispute the charges. This was a total scam. Scammers change their name but have the same story where the artist is going out of business and is selling everything for 80% off including additional discounts if you buy more pieces.
