The Almonds Holiday Home has the potential to be amazing but unfortunately some aspects let it down which is why 5 stars are not given.

First impressions are “wow” until things slowly started to get our attention throughout our 5 night stay.

Pool and garden facilities we couldn’t fault. The pool is big, 2.2m deep and clean.
The canopy/gazebo area to sit and enjoy meals in the shade is a lovely added touch.
We also loved making use of the BBQ area, it is just a shame that it’s around the corner away from the socialising area.

Ants are quite a problem in the kitchen. They are always over the counter-tops and around the sink area. No mater how many times you wipe everything down and keep washing the dishes they’re always there.

The water system for the use of showers is unpredictable. Many of us experienced cold, warm and hot showers and could never get it “just right”. However the bathrooms were clean and fresh towels for everyone.

There is a radio but sadly it doesn’t work. You can’t get a radio station as there is no arial, you can’t connect via bluetooth and the USB also doesn’t work. It’s actually very pointless it being there.

Every room the floors are grubby…They are definitely not cleaned properly, especially the open kitchen/living room area. You don’t want to take your shoes off!
What’s also unpleasant and so unhygienic is the sofa. There is nothing inviting about it, you can’t sit on it at ease and relax. Not only does it look so uninviting but it absolutely stinks, feels absolutely filthy and it was avoided by our party.

We couldn’t get the oven to heat. There are “so called instruction’s” provided but they aren’t really instructions and we are unsure of it’s purpose. Unfortunately we couldn’t get it to work throughout our stay after many attempts by all of us.

However, We did have a wonderful family holiday and have made great memories. We would come back again and we would recommend the accommodation. We just hope these points are taken on board and worked on to make it even better for other people in the future.

Tolles großzügiges Haus,
sehr sauber, einmal in der Woche wurde ALLES sauber gemacht, Bettwäsche und Handtücher gewechselt, Pool gesäubert. Für uns ist keine Arbeit entstanden, wir durften einfach nur Urlaub machen.
Toller Service, super Email-Kontakt. Wir wurden sehr gut auf die Anreise Vorbereitet.
Es ist alles da was man braucht, toller Whirlpool, toller Pool. Es gab für uns NICHTS zu meckern. Wir haben uns komplett wohlgefühlt!!!

Brilliant stay at the Harbour holiday home in Gozo. Everything was clean and facilities were great. Would highly recommend.

The apartment is spacious, clean, and almost brand new, but the experience can be improved. The AC compressor in the terrace blows hot air directly onto guests seated because of its low-lying location. The terrace facing Marsalforn is one of the apartment's strong points, but the hot air mars the experience. Netflix not available. No shower gel or basic cooking condiments like oil, salt and pepper.
The communal pool gets crowded quickly since it's small and many residents have access to it. The view here is of the rear of the apartments with rust and flaking paint.
There are two entrances to the underground garage spaces, which are not interlinked. Clear directions or a simple map would have avoided complications which arose which I will not get into here.

Rented a house on Gozo for two families. Baron was quick to respond to questions before arriving and also to respond to questions/problems during our stay.

All i all very good experience

Compared to other properties owned and managed by Baron Holiday Homes, in my opinion this property (Blue House) does not offer the same standards as most of the other properties. The pool and pool area are too small considering that this property is being advertised as having all amenities for a group of 8/9 persons. In fact, only 4 sun beds were available and these sunbeds and the pool area furniture have seen better days and, in my opinion, should therefore be replaced. Cannot therefore say that we got good value for the money that we have paid.

I lovely villa in an exceptional position, with views across the valley to Gharb. A great place to watch the sunset whilst using the excellent outside dining area.

Everything was clean and nice. The pool was also spotless. There was a nice view of the Marsalforn bay from the balcony.
I have only one suggestion: a small vacuum cleaner would be very useful in the apartment.

Another great holiday with Baron Holiday Homes of Gozo.
We stayed at Hamlet 1 Holiday Home, Ghasri, the property was large, comfortable and with a decent sized pool. Absolutely spotless on arrival, we had a great time, the sunsets from the property were absolutely stunning.
Barons customer service is second to none, from start to finish this was another great experience with this company.
I would not hesitate to recommend their services to anyone.

One of the best house I got from Baronholidayhomes. Very spacious house and big pool. If I manage I try to get the same house next year.

Baron homes were excellent. I would definitely recommend staying in one of their properties. The Oleandra holiday home was lovely and was well equipped. It was really clean & the bedrooms & bathrooms smelt really fresh when we arrived. The parking space was challenging to say the least. You would need to be a very competent driver to manoeuvre in & out of the space. It was very noisy due to a workspace opposite the property where they cut stone & had a forklift truck in operation during the day. The home was very isolated you would really struggle without a car. Beware of the low entrances in the house, you may have problems if you are over 6’ tall. The floor was on different levels & the small steps were difficult to see, the slight drops on the floor were easy to trip over.

Vi havde en rigtig dejlig ferie i denne bolig. Stedet ligger i et roligt og privat område, hvilket gav os mulighed for at slappe helt af. Boligen var skøn med god plads både inde og ude, og vi følte os hurtigt hjemme.

Naboerne var utroligt søde og bidrog til en hyggelig atmosfære i området. Det var også nemt at komme frem og tilbage til både by og strand, hvilket gjorde det praktisk i forhold til udflugter og indkøb.

Det eneste minus var serviceniveauet – især manglede der ordentlige glas og tallerkener, hvilket var lidt ærgerligt, når man gerne vil lave mad og spise sammen derhjemme.

Alt i alt en rigtig god oplevelse og et sted, vi godt kunne finde på at vende tilbage til.

Mooie ruime woning met goede faciliteiten. Bedden waren een beetje hard maar desondanks goed op kunnen slapen. Er is enig achterstallig onderhoud in de badkamers maar hier hebben wij geen last van gehad. Slecht doorlopende afvoer en dat soort dingen.

We were a family of 8 adults and 2 children. This house was perfect. All bedrooms having an en-suite was a big plus. The bedrooms are large and all have A/C. The kitchen was equipped perfectly for our needs. The lounge is spacious and comes with a TV which entertained the children. A big dining table was perfect for evening dinners. The pool area, although small was enough for us. It’s gets the sun from midday until evening. The house was spotless and even came with a midweek sheet/towel change. Overall, we had a great time and Gharb is an excellent base to explore Gozo.

The accommodations, convenience of services provided, size of rooms,pool as well as having AC IN ALL ROOMS.
Would have been more convenient if having easier and bigger parking garage with additional designated parking. Would be helpful to have a dryer with the washing machine.
