Never Barracuda firewall F18
Ik wil toch graag mijn ervaring delen, over de Barracuda firewall F18.
Het is een gedrocht om te implementeren in je netwerk.
Na denk wel 20x fabrieksinstellingen heb terug gezet, draait het eindelijk op een normale manier. Ik ben redelijk bekend met firewall en hoe een goede regel te maken, maar bij deze firewall F18 is dit niet zomaar even doen.
Je hebt dermate veel instellingen, dat je door de bomen het bos niet meer ziet, verschrikkelijk.
Ik zal nooit meer een Barracuda firewall aanschaffen, erg jammer want het ziet er wel allemaal erg netjes uit.

I would like to share my experience with the Barracuda firewall F18.
It is a monstrosity to implement in your network. After I have reset factory settings about 20 times, it finally runs normally.
I am quite familiar with firewalls and how to create a good rule, but with this firewall F18 this is not easy to do.
You have so many settings that you can't see the forest for the trees, terrible.
I will never buy a Barracuda firewall again, too bad because it all looks very neat.

Blocks legitimate marketing emails
Blocks legitimate marketing emails. Allows spam email through. Flat out doesn't work. I'd forgotten how bad junk mail filtering could be. Like being in the 90's.

Email scam
Just found an address that is seldom used had all outgoing messages blocked. However it appears they sell a solution, amazing!!!!
They also wont answer who regulates them, responses come from India and it just smells of scam. A well organised one but a scam all the same.

Our email to a supplier was blocked by…
Our email to a supplier was blocked by Barracuda. I talked to our email provider and Barracuda is the only scanner that listed our mail server’s IP as suspect out of 50 or so that they tried. Turns out that it can be fixed if we pay Barracuda 20 dollars. Hmm... don’t think that’s going to happen.
