Online booking is horrendous I'll stick to other holiday sites like Love holidays. They give you choices like close to Airport, kids slides and cheaper for kids at 15 years old

Worst cruise ever
Apparently we booked our cruise with one of the cruise specialists. I think not. We travelled on the MSC Virtuosa from southhampton looking forward to our first cruise in a while. Myself and my 76year old were booked on a cruise with 6000 people, mostly out of control children, drunk parents and teens who were rampaging through the ship at all hours. Take a look at the reviews for this ship, and you'll get the the jist. We spent the fortnight from hell. Only peace was on the balcony of our cabin, at least we could get a seat. Over £2000 pounds each lighter and probably having the worst cruise we have ever had. Barrhead travel
you got this so wrong. No customer satisfaction feed back no check on how the holiday was. First time using a travel agent and the last. We had hoped for better guidance into getting the right cruise. Cruise specialists after all. I think not
We," two retired couples"
We," two retired couples", went to barrhead travel,Newton Mearns, wanting to book on week in Benidorm,we were booked into Pelicanos Ocas, paying £2500,total, but when we got there we had been booked into two family rooms, overlooking the kitchens, and had a fowl smell, with no balconies .we complained to the reception, who were also surprised we had been booked into family rooms, "we later found out that Barrhead travel are selling cheap easy jet packages so we had to upgrade to get out of those rooms, and all the rooms net to were we were moved, were jet two customers, so be ware when booking with barrhead !!!
Wonderful Cruise
Just home from a wonderful cruise which I booked through Barrhead Travel Cameron Toll Edinburgh. Pamela Tulloch booked it all for me and she was excellent to deal with. Pamela is very knowledgable and her suggestion for us was perfect based on our requirements. I will definitely use Pamela again. First class experience.

Used Barrhead travel in Halifax today after learning that Vicky was working there, have dealt with her in the past at another company. How lovely to alk in store to be greeted by the staff, lovely clean premises. Didn't expect to find a holiday so quickly but she was brilliant. Both my husband and I well impressed and will certainly recommend Barrhead to friends and family. Welcome to Halifax Barrhead
Brilliant Staff
We booked a complicated holiday with Barrhead to Canada with an Alaskan cruise at the end.
Every detail worked perfectly -Flights, transfers and organised trips.
Unfortunately, I tested positive for Covid the day before the cruise and could not board the Cruise Ship.
Barrhead staff could not have been more supportive and helpful in this difficult situation.
We will definitely book through them again.

EXCELLENT - DON'T BOOK ANYWHERE ELSE
Barrhead Isle of Wight were truly excellent. I hadn't traveled for a long time & have health issues which brought up lots of anxieties around travelling with my sons. Saffie took my booking and took all those worries away and I left the shop excited and looking forward to our holiday. In her words she said "Happy to help, its what we do here, we love it", I was met with the same helpful happy attitude anytime I rang or popped in from all the staff. I must thank Hays Travel for treating me like I was wasting their time from the first phone call as it led me to Barrhead and from this point I wont go anywhere else to book my holidays and have already been recommending them to friends and family, truly outstanding standards.

Not recommended. Just waiting for my refund over a month every time when I spoke with the customer service said that “your refund will be end of this week” and absolutely nothing happens.

Avoid booking with company
Avoid booking with company. My elderly mother lost a £584 holiday due to the lack of communication and miscommunication from this company,not to mention leaving their store in tears by the horrendous customer service she received. Wrote a letter to head office but off course their response was nothing further will happen, not a penny back. AVOID BOOKING frm them!!!

Barrhead Travel at the Fort, let me down …
Contacted Barrhead Travel at the Fort (Kyle) and asked him to cost me a cruise package and stay, contacted them twice and left 2 voicemail. Eventually got an e mail from Jackie who passed my enquiry onto another adviser. Again I was promised a costing, nothing received . A week later I booked with another company who sent me a costing the same day. Totally disappointed in their customer service, shop elsewhere.

Great service..with a nervous customer..
We've been keeping an eye on what holidays have been available both in the UK and abroad since the start of the summer. As we're on a budget and wary about booking abroad with covid restrictions etc we got quietly excited about a 4 night city break to Krakow advertised by Barrhead Travel. I called the Livingston Branch and got through to James... I explained what we wanted and also that we were nervous about booking just now as everything seems so complicated... Right from the start James made me feel at ease...explaining what also had to be put in place as transfers weren't included.. We had the option of coach or private car and with only £14 difference we decided on a private car to get us from door to door..he told me what we have to put in place re covid as in tests etc but also assured me if we get a bit lost with it all they'll be more than glad to keep us right.. All in all I had a really positive experience booking with James and felt my wee £400+ break was as important as any more expensive holiday we've ever booked...thankyou James and Barrhead for your sterling service

My wife and I have used Barrhead Travel (Kilmarnock branch) for years and find them very helpful and professional in finding exactly the package holiday we want. I would especially like to thank Paul for organising our holidays this year with his usual attention to detail and his nothing is ever to much approach. Every holiday we have been with Barrhead Travel has been a success and this is all down to the dedicated staff.
No Return of Deposit for Holiday Booked 12 Months ago
Booked a once in a lifetime holiday (departing Nov 2020) with Barrhead Travel Glasgow Fort on 14th January 2020 and paid a deposit of £1400. Was advised by Ryan in mid-July 2020 that our return flight in December was cancelled and that we wouldn't return until the following day. Furthermore he stated that the ship on the cruise had also changed. We were advised that if this was not suitable then we could cancel the holiday and receive a full refund. As the changes were not suitable we cancelled.
It is now over 12 months since we paid the deposit and approx 6 months since cancellation. According to Barrhead Travel they have claimed the cancellation through their insurers and are waiting on settlement.
I understand that claims are taking longer due to the pandemic however I believe that 6 months is more than adequate to refund our deposit.
I contacted ABTA on 3rd December 2020 and asked them to expidite this matter. As of today they have yet to receive a response from Barrhead Travel.
I've asked ABTA how to progress this issue.
